It appears Fangio's preference to have AVG re-resigned by Miami was spot on. His vision for Van Ginkle has seemingly paid off. This play highlights what The Van Man can do. He's looks to be improving from his week one performance. Let's hope Van Ginkle can continue to bring this type of instinctual play to the ILB spot. I love how versatile he's become. Let's hope the Dolphins recognize how valuable he is and find the money to get him signed long term.

That was a hell of a play. Great recognition. Great hustle. Great tackle.

His motor only knows one setting. Wide open......

Remember when Denver royally screwed us in the patootie by jumping in front of us in the draft and snagging Javonte out from under us, leaving us to select Holland?

Yeah, me either.

And its Van Ginkel.

I remember it. I thought Williams was going to be really good, but I didn't feel bad for long, because Holland was my choice for safety, and we needed one in that draft.

I wonder if we will start seeing more Long + Van Ginkel on the field for nickel, and less Baker. Baker d seems to guess on run gaps. He has no instincts on the play in front of him.

It was the narrative that they snaked us.

We weren't taking Javonte Williams regardless, with the Holland man sitting there.

I was saying this since week 1... Van Ginkel has been our bast LB so far, making plays, reading well and instinctual, getting to the line and making tackles. This is all consistent as well. When he filled in for J. Phillips role in week 2 against NE, he was great to watch in pressure and hand usage as well as against the run (where Phillips is quite awful against the run). He kept making plays for us, team defensively as well. Our LBs have struggled for years, but he has been a positive no doubt.

Phillips gets lost picking the wrong lane while VG is sneaky strong and quick point A to point B to the QB! He might be player of the game this week hunting down Allen! Go 🐬🐬
