I like the attempt at moving him inside. He's a try-hard player who really isn't gifted enough to play on the Edge...

In another era, he would have been a very talented SSLB, but that position just doesn't really exist any longer; modern teams need more pass rush from that spot.

His new position is closer to MLB than it is anything else. He won't spell Baker, because coverage and blitzing isnt his game. He's a heady inside thumper... an Elandon Robert's type with better instincts.

AVG is probably my favorite player on the team. I was ecstatic when we signed him back. Hopefully he balls out at ILB so we can move on from Baker and save significant money.

I told my wife last season "I don't know what it is about this guy, but he's becoming my favorite player on this team" .... hard worker, and seems to be focused on perfecting his craft.
