To blame this loss on anyone but the defense is so unbelievably retarded it makes me question peoples sanity. Sure there was poor time management by the qb, and no spectacular catches were made....it boils down however to 14 min resulted in 27 pts...7 on the first play.....thats nearly 2 pts per minute!...I wont blame it on coverage, bc if you look it was a matter of manning having all day and making rediculous mid range throws....then having no one tackle....The offense executed exactly how it was planned and they owned Indys D. Yes we got conservative, and yes we left passing oppertunities out there.....but jesus did anyone watch the game the O was the only reason it was close!?.......Id trade G Wilson for a homeless mans used condom and a kick in the balls....he couldnt tackle a parapalegic in a straightjacket

I agree (maybe not with the condom, kick in the balls part). This goes squarely on the D. You cannot control the ball for 45+ minutes and lose the game. We need more pressure on the QB. Roth's absence is hurting. JT was brought back originally just to rush the passer. There was a reason that the Giants didn't resign and the Raidders decided to cut Wilson after 1 season.

The defense is the #1 reason we lost this game, but the offense doesn't get a pass. There were a few dropped passes that could have bailed out the D. Carpenter doesn't get a pass either. He made all the FG's on the infield dirt, but misses the one in the grass.

The coaches don't get a pass either. Despite only playing 15 minutes of the game, the D is having a bad night, yet in the end you put it on them to win the game and they got buried. Maybe taking a few more chances on offense takes a little pressure off the D.

All that being said...the defense is the #1 reason why we lost the game.

If the LB's and safeties don't get better in pass coverage, and get better fast, they will continue to get exploited and it's going to be a long season.

//Unless Porter and Taylor suddenly play all world and start giving QB's no time to throw on each and every passing play...covering up this glaring deficiency.

I agree. Our offense played well enough to beat most teams last night. No way you should lose when you have the ball for almost 45 minutes in a 60 minute game.

The defense was horrible. They were stellar against the run (for the most part), but our LBs and safeties were exploited for the whole NFL to see.

The offensive playcalling at the end was horrible too. Henning was brilliant for the first 56 minutes of the game, but got conservative at the end. I do not understand his logic (or lack thereof) at the end.

The defense is definitely more at fault than the offense. Would have been nice if the offense was a little more aggressive going for TDs rather than settling for FGs. Bit them in the you-know-what in the end.

If our defense could have made just one or two plays, it could have made the difference.

The ****ing Colts just needed 4 plays to take the lead again. You know they're going to pass. I don't understand how it couldn't have been a little bit harder for them to go down the field then it was.

But hey, that's Dolphins football for you. **** us I guess

I AGREE....Sorry I actually just started a thread saying the samething

The defense did cost us the game, but i also blame henning for his conservative play calling, especially when your losing late in the game, I mean field goals is not going to cut it in this league DAN!

Tes the "OFFENSE" played well, but the opposing defenses have no respect for our vertical game, Chad "Noodle Arm "Pennington has got to go as with Ted "I Fall down " Ginn,Our inside linebackers couldnt cover crap, we need some play makers on both sides of the ball. Its time to Start Chad Henne and trade Ginn to SF 49ers for the rights to Crabtree.

The defense was pretty atrocious....but dude....that was the most embarrasing, humiliating, horrific 2 minute drill I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could have salvaged this game, it wasnt out of the question.

That 2 minute drill and last drive of the game made Wanny's clock management look great!

One other thing I want to point out, if this team continues to burn timeouts before getting into the closing minutes of the game I think im going to explode. I have no idea why Miami insists on burning 1-2 timeouts long before the final 2-3 minutes of the game, EVERY GAME. Burning timeouts ALWAYS comes back to haunt you. So instead we roll into the final minutes with 1 timeout, and then we burn it during a Colts injury!!

The Hail Mary pass at the end of the game wasnt even close and it was only 30 plus yards, give me a break,Dont get me started on Ginn neither, The man is 6 foot and i never have seen such short arms he plays scared to death, On the play in the endzone towards the end of the game i swore to #$%^ he thought he was playin beach volleyball.Time for a change Bring in Henne and cyt GINN JR NOW

Wow, there are not many smart folks here. I will be leaving now. LOL!

Sure it was the defenses fault. But Clockington had the ball in his hands against a defense that could barely stand up near the end of the game and he played it so 'unbelievably retarded' it makes me even angrier.

I agree with the premise of the post. Sure, play calling/clock management of the two minute drill was horrible, but can you honestly expect that this Dolphins offense should score a touchdown with 3.5 minutes, going 80+ yards, on most drives? I think not ( I mean, with no time restrictions, they scored only 2 touchdowns on like 8 possessions all game anyway; with 3.5 minutes, their big strength--the power run game--is basically taken out of the equation ). The offense played well overall, considering how they were built as power running team, and at least gave us a shot at the end. With the way the money is allocated, however, we shouldn't be allowing Manning to score at will. The 27 points in 15 minutes of possession is really the story. Only 2 punts all game for Indy, not going to cut it.
