Brady Quinn was overrated period. He was a big name bacuse he played for ND surrounded by a Pro-System and pro-talent and he still dropped in the draft.
If those fans in Miami yesterday had a freaking clue, they would have cheered wildly for Coach Cameron. Ginn has shown throughout his career the ability to make big plays. Real big plays. Take 'em to the house at any spot on the field big plays. When was the last time Miami had someone with that ability? Seriously, someone answer me that...and don't say John Avery!

Bottom Line here: We want to win now, so by adding a player who can come in and contribute instantly is a helluva lot better option than watching Harrington-2 wear a ball-cap for a couple of years.

If you can't accept that, you are completely blinded by the hype machine and should write a letter of apology to the Ginn Family:confused:

Hey everybody is free to express there opinion, that's what makes america great. I'm not sold on Ginn and thought we should have taken Quinn. So yes, I booed big time.

Quinn was the most pro ready QB in years. U don't pass on a guy like that if he is there for a guy that a LB in the NFL will snap in too when he hits him like u or I could snap a toothpick in our fingers. And yes I will say John Avery in regards to offense, Ginn will have very little impact on offense, special teams yeah which makes him not nearly as big of a bust as Avery but still not the guy we should have taken, especially since we probably could have gotten him in the second round

Ok first off how did you determine Brady Quinn was "the most Pro ready QB in years"? How? Because he played at ND? Because his coach coached in the NFL? Tell me exactly what makes him the most pro-ready qb in years.

Second, by admitting that John Avery was the last home-run threat we had validates my point on Ginn. He possesses an ability that has not been present in Miami in decades (assuming you realize that you're dead wrong about Avery's XFL ability)

First and foremost, I believe that we are wrong as fans to boo "our" team but I understand that we were all we looking for Brady to be ours. And I have to question, if Quinn was as good as avertised then why did 20 other NFL teams pass him up? But looking back at the first day I see us being a more explosive offense at the skill positions now. Knowing that the success rate of first round quarterbacks over the last ten years hasn't been great, our staff felt the need to explore other options. I feel pretty good about our staff, we all should let nature takes it's course.I hope we can garner some OL and a TE. Remembers guys, Rome was not built in a day.

I like everyone else was shocked when I saw Ginn Jr's name flash with our 1st pick and not BQ. After watching the draft unfold I feel much more comfortable about it. We picked up a true game breaker, in Ginn. I think we may have picked up a QB very similar to Brees when he came out except Beck's arm strength is a little better. Then we picked up a center that can protect the QB, but needs to learn the art of run blocking. Booker I wasn't thrilled about, but we definately needed the depth and he has nice return ability. Him and Ginn returning kickoffs could be funr to watch. I really don't know how the draft would've fell for us if we took Quinn in the 1st as it seemed the QB position was deeper in the 2nd than the WR position.

The fans who booed were right. You are wearing rose-colored glasses.
You are looking at it wrong. It's not the disagreement with the draft decision that many of us have a problem with. It's the classless display of that disagreement.

How are they right? We got an immediate upgrade in multiple positions in Ginn.

Brady would not have started this year and possibly might never would have. How can you tell me with all cetrainty that Beck is not as good as Quinn? You can't. You bought the Draft guide and based your knee-jerk reaction on that. Sorry.

Cameron's credentials suggest that he has a very good offensive mind who knows how to develop quarterbacks. Mueller has a pretty good track record for evaluating talent. Cameron and Mueller have spent long hours for months, extensively evaluating these prospects.

But maybe we should fire both of them and hire the ESPN crew to run our team. Mel Kiper could be the GM, since he knows who all the most popular players are. We could hire Ryan Leaf as the QB coach. Of course in the long run we may have a lousy team, but at least we would draft popular players and make the fans happy on draft day.

You mean classless like comparing dissatisfied fans to hate-mongering violent racists? :rolleyes2

The analogy wasn't meant as an exact comparison. Get over it.I think the problem (in your case), is that the truth hurts.
