Whenever I do one of these I'm always sort of in a de facto way working off a list of players. And to be frank, until the player rankings make it no longer possible, everyone of these will begin with Kyler Murray in the 1st round, because I'm all-in on the player.
After that I'm usually picking between the following players, in order as they appear on Matt Miller's rankings:

Guys in (parentheses) absolutely SHOULD be on Matt Miller's list, but have yet to make the cut. I will say that Matt's latest iteration has put a lot more of these guys on there. For the longest time I wouldn't be able to find a Joshua Miles or Ugo Amadi. Now it's just Drew Anderson and Nick Allegretti missing.
For the most part you will not see 1st round prospects in the above lists because, as I said, until the rankings make it no longer possible, my Fanspeak mocks begin with Kyler Murray.
Note that some of Matt Miller's rankings (e.g. Jeffery Simmons) make it seem highly unlikely this player is available in the 2nd-3rd round, etc. But I don't ONLY use Matt Miller's rankings for my Fanspeak mocks. I use a smattering of them and have tried to identify guys that keep being available and that my eye keeps falling on when they are. I've only just listed them in Matt Miller's ordering above because I can't be bothered right now to list them in my own order of preference.
I keep adding names as I go, of course. Clearly there are some positions I just haven't been bothered with thus far.
