-Brandon Marshall’s been punting balls in practice again and has the dropsies. This may just be getting used to the ball Henne throws, and at least he’s not lashing out at anyone. Shouldn’t be a huge issue.

-Guard Nate Garner is scheduled to miss 8 weeks with a foot injury. Garner had a solid 5.7 rating on pass blocking last year; John Jerry will need to step it up.

-The Phins signed Ikaika Alama-Francis (henceforth referred to as IAF) to an extension through 2011. He’s competing for the backup SOLB job.

-Pat White saw time in preseason Week 1. With a kneeldown. That’s it.

-Koa Misi looked really good to me in preseason action. He got solid pressure multiple times, and should be able to win a starting job opposite Cam Wake, who was an effective rusher last season. Though it was only 167 snaps, he had an amazing 24.5 rating.

-Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are looking to improve on solid rookie season. Davis got beat a few times in the preseason opener (most notably the nice Mike Williams grab), but overall, both were top 35 CBs in PFF ratings. Smith also displayed why he had a positive 2.9 run rating in the opener, making a couple nice tackles.

-CB Will Allen is out til at least Week 1 with a knee scope. He was expected to be the starting nickel back.

-The starting WR corps almost seems set, and as I and many others guessed, it’ll be Marshall/Hartline with Bess in the slot.

Guys every team is going through this, the good teams with depth move on. The sorry teams suffer from it. It is what it is. We are a team loaded with depth and have suffered from any.

We might have a lot of injuries but we have the depth to back it up until our players get healthy. Lucky for us most of our players should be back for week except for a select few.
