I disagree, I think he was the best candidate for the job. Oh well. Hopefully Gaine of Dawson does a good job(assuming they want the job).

The OPs point is well taken. He wouldn't have gotten along with Philbin. I'm assuming he chose to work with Pettine over Philbin.

I wasn't impressed by Farmer (you can check my post history!) so I actually kind of agree with you. There was NOTHING in Farmer's history that suggested he'd be a great candidate.
We'll see what happens but I'm a lot more disappointed that we apparently told Brian Xanders 'no thanks' than Ray Farmer pulling out.

There is a mystery with this situation of Farmer banging the interview. The Fins look bad, but Farmer looks like **** too.
I don't think there was a candidate that stood out more than the others. So I am not going to get too bummed out or too excited after it is all said and done. We have the most important piece to the puzzle in place and that is the QB. We just need a guy to not be Ireland and that won't take much.
