Imagine the storyline for this game. Chad Pennington returns to Giants stadium to take on his former team at home for a playoff birth. We are either 8-7 or 9-6. (im just dreaming here guys)

But how insane of a game would this be? With the way the AFC is looking this year, its not impossible to think 9-7 might get us in as a wildcard. Imagine the size of a victory against the Jets in NY to get into the playoffs with Chad as our QB!!!!

The heartbreak Jets fans would feel would make me happy until training camp.

if that was the situation going into the last game i would be extremly nervous and excited at the same time. that would be something crazy, and i feel like it would just be fitting for chad to clinch the playoffs for miami and knock the jets out in the place he called home for 8 years. not to mention if thats the case then it would almost certainly be the sunday night football game.

That would be incredible. But a loss in that sort of a scenario would be equally as heartbreaking as the win would be amazing.

Would be great! Either way I'm planning on attending the game so it's a win/win situation for me. It'd just be ridiculous if we had a chance to make the playoffs.

I'd actually be happier with this scenario..

"Miami benches QB Chad Pennington to give him rest for next week's wildcard matchup against the (ENTER NAME HERE). "

Truthfully, I still think the playoffs is just out of reach for us - although I hope I'm wrong. I would be almost as happy if we were much improved - which we are - and we were the team standing in the way of the Jets making the playoffs.

Knocking them and their not-so-shiny new QB into the offseason (and maybe his re-retirement) would be a very sweet ending to the season, and I'm sure Chad would be quite happy for the opportunity to do it. What sweet vindication that would be for the guy.

Gotta say, I never thought Chad Pennington would ever become near and dear to my heart, but he's won me over. I think that block for Ricky (on the 5 yard loss) sealed the deal.

(ENTER NAME HERE) = Baltimore Ravens = Vindication!

I would be thrilled and a little pissed. I only get family vacation time certain times of the year based on my job so I will actually be LEAVING New York to go to Miami that day. At least I know that the game will be televised and I will arrive, God willing, in time for the kick off.

Yeah, it would piss me off for a couple of hours just because it's the jests, but once I got over it, I'd realize that we went from 1-15 to a possible playoff team. I don't see how I could complain about that after the past few years, especially when I think about how it's only the beginning.

But we're not there. Yet.

i sure hope the stars align in a way such that this game decides a playoff spot. I'll be driving up from KY just for the game and returning monday. Will make for one hell of a trip if the game counts for something big.

maybe i'll even invest in a pennington jerz just for that game to piss of the Jets fans (or rather to make them pissed @ the Jets & Favre). truly believe that penny will make the probowl and favre wont.
