Anybody else shocked to see Miami throw 50 passes despite only having time of poss. of 26 minutes. Win or lose this will be more intresting to watch. With this pace, whoever starts at QB will put up big numbers. The key stat will be turnovers. Keep the interceptions in check and everything else will take care of itself.

I was rewatching the Tampa game and counted five failed drives in scoring range : 2 missed fgs, 2 failded 4th down conversions and 1 turnover. So Miami was moving the ball, just not closing the deal. That's something that will improve.

I think this team can score 20 points per game and if you can score 20 points in the NFL you are typically in position in the 4th quarter to have a shot at the win.

Not shocked at all to be honest Philbin and Sherman both said they want to run 90 offensive plays a game. That is pace unheard of in the NFL.

When I looked at the box score I saw we actually ran more plays and outgained TB. But they had time of possesion.
We've had that time of possession advantage before and doesn't mean you are going to win the game. You have to score TD's with the TOP like TB did.
But I like that we had more plays. Its a good start to getting an advantage. Like you said you have to stay way from the turnovers.
50 passes, no sacks and 1 int is doing well. Got to have more TD's though.

We had 65 plays in the TB game and the Bucs had 58 (without the special teams plays). That's right about average for an NFL game and I think it's surprising considering we played with a no-huddle offense a good portion of the game...

Should our QB be considered for any fantasy teams. I mean they would come cheap!

Well at least they're starting early to get the players up to shape for it. The coaches might tone it down a bit as the season goes on just to let the players catch their breath but nothing too significant....it's going to have more of an effect on opposing D's especially during home games. If our playmakers step up and avoid excessive mistakes, i.e. drops/fumbles, this will definitely benefit our offense.

Love the fast pace. This team is finally catching up to the rest of the NFL....
