Call this a sentimental thread (as I am tired of reading about Jt's dancing)...

We all love Dan Marino, Larry Czonka, and most of the superstars. We all know about the perennial probowlers who commanded giant and often well deserved contracts.

But we also know that football is a team sport and that you can never have enough strong role players who may never make a probowl, but who still are clutch players who work hard and get things done. Guys you root for because they wear the Aqua and Orange and give their all to the team, even if no one else has heard of them except the fans who watch every week.

Who are your favorite all time non-bigtime fins?

off the top of my head - Bernie Parmelee.
I thought he should have been our starting running back before Kirby went down (he looked really good in preseaon.) If he stayed healthy, he may have been "disqualified" from this list because I thought he could have been a really solid starting RB. that being said, he was our special teams mainstay for years and just a solid player. I hated when he went to the Jets, and I thought there was some poetic justice when he ran amok on us as a back up in that one game.

I always loved Mcduffie. He was Dan's go to guy. Always made the catch and IMO a great WR. I just wish the med staff would have treated his injury better, he could have played longer.

Mike Kozlowski, both Blackwood Brothers and Troy Stratford.

and David Woodley

shouldnt he be "disqualified".. OJ was bigtime

I agree. I think I would also preclude Trace Armstrong mostly because he lead the AFC in sacks and forced fumbles, making the probowl in 2000.

On the other hand, I won't nitpick on who was good enough to be bigtime, so keep em in I say...

I was going to keep him out, but because he played for 2 other teams i put him in there. He was big time though

Louis Oliver(I'll never forget his 3 int's vs. the Bills)
Terry Kirby
Terrell Buckley
Reggie Roby

Even Though he made two pro bowls which may disqualify him I'm not so sure too many people outside of Miami fans remember him, but Tim Bowen's, he definitely wasn't your Warren Sapp type of DT but damn did he do his job of keeping guys off Zach. He would have been an awesome 3-4 NT.
