Wondering what people think of our position with Runningbacks. We have great depth at RB but other teams are less fortunate then we are. Obviously we have discussed the Eagles and a trade to nausea effects. BUt what about other teams, such as the Vikings, Steelers, and Jags.
These three teams plus the Eagles are legit Superbowl contenders who have lost a runningback or have worries abouta runningback. Vikings just lost Bennett. Steelers have Staley hurt and Bettis doesn't think he can handle the same load. The Jags have been worried about Taylor all off season. Gordon or Morris could be traded to one of these teams. Obvious from posts that everyone would rather Gordon. I believe that we could get a 3rd rd or more likely a 4th for Gordon if any injuries occur over the next week or two of training camp. I'll give one opinion of this, I would love to see us trade Gordon before the regular season but would love for another team to come down with some injury problems before the trade deadline and make an offer for Morris. I could care less if we have Gordon any longer and Morris is only around one more year of his contract. We would then have Ronnie, Ricky, Minor who has been the third back tons of times and then we would of kept Harris because of the Gordon trade. We would pick up two pick in the next draft. I know this is a pipe dream but is very possible if we can escape the injury bug and others have problems. What do you all think? Would you trade both if the offer was decent, say a third pick or even a 4th for Morris before the trade deadline?

I would trade Gordon for a 4th round pick, I think we would be getting a steal. I would not give up Morris for anything less than a 3rd round

pick. Last year behind our dismal line he put up over 500 yards. Behind

a good line he could be a 1,000 yard rusher.

The Steelers are not hurting for quality depth at RB. Parker is in fact probably going to be traded FROM there team....

I don't know why you think they are thinking of trading Parker. I haven't seen any reports saying that not that I'm discounting what you've said. Looking at their roster they only have Bettis, Staley, Haynes, and Parker. Parker is unproven, Haynes is a smaller back though think, 230lbs. If Duce is hurt and the Bus is running out of gas, why wouldn't they be looking for a RB?

Just adding, I did notice some rookie Rbs but I have heard nothing about how well they are doing.
