HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP)—Brett Favre dropped back, looked downfield and launched a long spiral about 5 yards past his intended receiver. A few plays later, the Jets quarterback short-hopped a toss that thumped into the grass.
“I felt 38 today,” Favre said Wednesday after New York’s morning practice. “I’m not going to lie to you.”
Favre fired a few duds in his fifth practice since joining the Jets, saying his rocket right arm is a bit tired.
“My arm’s kind of dragging a little bit today,” Favre said. “It’s not really sore, but just fatigued. To be honest with you, I’m surprised that, I don’t want to say I feel good, that I’ve been able to make it through every practice so far.”

“I didn’t throw the ball that well this morning, underthrew some throws,” Favre said. “No pain, but I’m 38 years old. It’s going to be fatigued a little bit.”

what do you think?? i think JETS SUCK SUCK SUCK:hi5::hi5:

I think you should of posted this in the beasts of the east section where the other thread like this one was moved too

He's going to get even more fatigued as the season wears on. He thinks he's fatigued now!? Wait until that stifling Florida heat hits him, he may retire again after the 1st quarter! Would that not be wonderful to see Favre leave the JETS after losing Pennington!? I think some of the JETS players would be even more upset than before! I think this whole Favre move is going to backfire on them

I hate the JETS, and I cannot respect the way Favre handled himself throught this whole situation but Favre is the man, he'll be fine this year. One and done for the JETS tho, I don't see him playing next year.

Well first of all, he's not been in practice or training camp like everone else in the league, so clearly he's going to be sore after the first week of practice.... but as far as him being sore goes, I'm sure every QB in the league is sore after a day of throwing a couple hundred balls, but not every QB has celebrity coverage like ole' Faverrerera does. Also, he's always been one to speak his mind, something that a lot of other QB's don't do.

Moral of the story, I wouldn't take what he said with a grain of salt... We need to come into week 1 thinking he's going to be the same QB he was last year... we take him too lightly based on a "sore arm" and we're toast.

the season is over - send favre to the glue factory!
:boohoo:

In my opinion, it's not Favre screwing the Jets. I believe that it's more the front office that screwed the Jets, my reason is this, they signed a 39 year old QB and released Pennington before seeing if Favre still had it. Just my opinion though. I think this will put their whole season down the toilet before they even play a regular season game. When they do play that first game, they will see right away what their mistake was. With that said, GO DOLPHINS AND KICK THEIR *** IN WEEK 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you guys are reading into this a little bit more than you should.

#1. Brett is finally in a camp now he's used to lighter workouts as he already knew the system.

#2. His head/heart might not be 100% into this right now hes been through alot in the last month.

#3. Im not worried about Brett's arm he's a GAMER and come game day he is going to be ready to play.... (I hope he struggles against us as we need to win a few early on!)

if anything is gonna screw the Jets it's really only 2 things

1.Favre is not used to that system, and has never played in a system close to the Jets offense. As great as Favre is/was, even he can't grasp a new offense in just over a month.

2.After Coles and Cotchery, the Jets don't have the greatest WR corp in the world. Not that I'm one to talk with our WR corp, but we're not putting our hope in the passing game.

Or maybe just Putting on a Jets uniform increases your suck factor by 50!
