Favre or Pennington? Who gives his team the edge on opening day?

Who do you think has the bigger edge Sunday? Brett Favre and his ability to open up the Jets offense vertically or Pennington and his ability to manage a game and the familiarity he has with the Jets current D?
 
IMO Brett Favre will NOT excel as a Jet. Too much pressure for a 38 year old QB. A Jet fan might say that he's won it all but he's in NY now (he's gunna get murdered for every gunslinger INT he throws by that media) and the Jets paid bigtime in FA and got a HOFer QB through a trade. I feel he's in for a bumpy ride.
 
While this should be looked at as a big upgrade for the Fins, it could be as much of a downgrade in completion percentage for the Jets. The difference in this one will be more about the Offensive line play.
 
You forgot the option....Pennington and his arm. Pennington has a brain and an arm. Favre has an arm.
 
Pennington because he has already seen the Jets Defense in Training camp and he should know player weakness and strengths.

I would get mocked if I said anything about Chad Pennington's arm gives us the edge against the Jets. Don't be silly. We know Pennington has an arm but not everyone else thinks that lol

Pennington .. he knows the jets offense better than Brett at this point
 
Penny knows the defense he knows the LB's and DB's our Te's and WR's will know every in and out of their game i see Ginn having a big game and of course R&R railroad taking off and not looking back

I think the edge will come from the running game or defense even though the media is trying to drum hype and put the focus on the Qb's.

I think the same but QB play is always important will be even more so under the limelight this weekend because of the circumstances for the two QBs.
