I know there are a lot of Favre haters on here and I dont know why. Maybe it's because he has broken some of Marino's records or its because of the whole Chad Pennington issue but after yesterday and his 6 TD's Brett Favre is still the man. Hate all you want but the guy can still play football and a very high level.

Theres no doubt Favre can still play. I just wish that would be his main focus instead of running his mouth. He's as bad as T.O in my opinion. He is in love with himself and constantly criticized his team and/or teammates while in Green Bay. He just gets a pass because he is the great Brett Favre. BS!

I guess I must have missed something because I never got any of what you just said from Favre. To compare him to T.O. makes no sense either. Maybe I am sorely mistaken but never have I heard Favre lay blame on everyone else or anything remotely like that.

His only fault that I am aware of is I think he is in love with media attention involving his constant decision on whether to retire or not. Which I could car less because if this league lets thugs like Adam Jones, Chirs Henry, and lets be honest Ricky Williams keep coming back to play then I have no problem with Brett Favre being a little indecisive and changing his mind about retiring.

How is Ricky a Thug? Cause he smoked some weed? I don't agree with him doing that when your in the NFL but he's never been on the news for anything but smoking weed. To call him a thug for that is not right. Doctors, Dentist and even Lawyers smoke weed and do alot more. Does that make them "thugs"?

As for Brett Favre, the guy is talented and can still play but he is a baby, like the previous poster posted, he retired then came back and was being a baby about it. The Packers made themselves look bad as well but they didnt want to make it look like BF can have a free pass to anything he wants.

Yeah, Favre was running that offense as if he were in that system for years. Looks to me like that offense is beggining to get comfortable with each other and beggining to gel.

I dont repect the person, Brett Farve but I do respect the player, Brett Favre

I think most people hate that every member of the media slurps Favre. ESPN ran Favre watch for like a month on whether he'd be traded and what not. Favre looked great yesterday. The Jets offense as a whole looked impressive. If ESPN and every football analyst would get off of Favre's jock I think he'd have more fans.

I agree with you.I am a Jets fan,but even I tire of the constant Favre lovefest>It's almost as bad as when they suck Tom Brady off every day...........

Oh he's the man alright. This could explain why the rat named his kid after after him. Two pea's in a pod.

Foxsports.com reported Sunday that Favre called the Lions before their Sept. 14 game against the Packers and spent more than an hour giving coaches information on nuances of the offense he used to run.

Favre hasn't been "the man" in about 8 years. 6 TD's against the Ball St. Cardinals doesn't change that. He had a horrible game in Oakland yesterday, he was horrible against the Patriots and Chargers, he was horrible against Miami with the exception of his "brilliant" 4th down miracle lob that of course worked on our god awful defense. He's WAY over the hill, enough already.

He has his momemnts. He's been basically in the same system his whole career and now asked to change after missing most of training camp.

If the allegations against Favre are true does it really matter? Also why wouldn't he give information to a team that actually has a chance at winning?

I never have been a Brian Schottenheimer fan as an OC.
