FB Schlesinger to visit today

My bro is a big fan of the Lions even though they suck so I know about Schles. He can play. Is a bit old now, but I think he'd be a better signing than that joke of a TE we signed named Martin who is going to replace Randy (and I'll eat crow proudly If I am wrong!)...:rolleyes:
 
Is he really a better choice than Barnes would have been????????????

i think this would be a great pickup if it goes through. Being just across the river from detroit i've been unfortunate enough to see alot of lions games.. bottom line is when this guy is in there as a lead blocker... their running game excelled. when he was out. they were awful. He's as good of a lead blocker as there is in the league, give him the ball once in a while too and he can easily get you tough yards. Sure he's up there in age, but he's got several years left in him. I'd welcome him here for sure.
 
Schlesinger would be a good pickup or maybe just keeping Heath Evans last year would have been just as good.
 
Schlesinger is a really good blocker...but he is old. id rather draft a big bruising fullback...or sign justin griffith. but i wont be disappointed with Cory
