Fedor to UFC?

That dude is an animal...................................

Of course I will be cheering for him to tear it up.

I said the same thing about Cro Cop, and then he nearly got his head kicked off. I thought Rampage didn't have a shot against Chuck after his sluggish debut in the UFC.

I'll wait to pass judgement after a couple of fights in the UFC this time.

How does that affect the fact that I'll be cheering for him? I have seen some of his fights I like him as a fighter and even if he gets his *** kicked IMO he is still an animal. haha

I see where your coming from but Fedor is an absolute wrecking machine. He was a man amongst boys in Pride and UFC's HW division is even weaker.

I can't wait to see him roll through the UFC HW division.

True

I've always liked Rampage even though Wanderlei and Nog destroyed him a couple times. Same with Ortiz and Liddell.

Fedor is in a different league than ANYONE else...The question this brings up to me is, what the **** are they doing to Pride? It seems like they are just taking it apart piece by piece...

Yeah, from what I've read the higher ups at Pride were pretty anal about anyone from UFC viewing their financial books until the deal was done. Now that the deal is done its been rumored that Pride was in SERIOUS financial trouble and it looks like the best business move would be to close up shop and just try to expand the UFC into the Japanese market.

Its a shame too because Pride really knew how to put on a show but apparently it was costing them. There are also rumors coming out of the woodwork about how crooked they were and how the Yakuza was involved with certain fighters and that some of the fights were fixed. Rampage came out and said he was offered money to throw a fight but turned them down. Its a real shame to hear that kinda stuff.

To be honest, I cant help but think the plan the whole time was to just purge Pride...I think they said all the things they had to say to get the deal done and not piss everyone off in the process...

Wouldn't surprise me.

Let's remember though.. when Fedor fought CroCop years ago, that fight was relatively close. If CroCop had a moderately good takedown defense, he may have come out on top. And we saw what happened to him.

So yeah, Fedor has kicked ***, but like it was said above, there have been so many surprises lately that it worth being skeptical about whether he'll win or not the next time around. And if he does fight Couture, well I'll definitely root for Couture (can't believe someone of that age would still be a champ..) even though Fedor would be highly favored.

Crocop really has seemed like a different fighter in the UFC though, I'm not sure if its the cage or if he doesn't care as much or what...At first I though it may just have been Pride fighters being overrated, or them not using steroids hurting them over here...Rampage proved me wrong with his impressive performance though...

When it comes to Fedor though, he is just too focused, and too good of a fighter to fall off coming over here...If you saw his fight with Lindland in April, it just showed that he wont allow himself to lose...I really cant see any way Fedor will be any different in the UFC than he was in Pride...

Agreed but in any type of fight, or ball game its really anyones ball game. Kind of like how golden state could nail Dallas but most teams had trouble with Dallas. Some people are just built for that one fight. Kind of like buster douglas haha.
I will be rooting for Fedor for sure.

Cro Cop has one foot out the door towards retirement IMO. Some of the comments I've seen him make really hint that he may be done once his contract is up.

As far as the Pride fighters being different in the UFC, Cro Cop was the exception to the rule IMO, not the standard. I mean lets be real, I won't call it a lucky shot, but everyone gets caught by a good shot once in awhile. He's still an elite fighter in the world. If you look at all the other main guys from Pride (minus Heath Herring) they have been solid in the UFC so far and it will only get better with Henderson, Nog, Shogun, and Fedor.
