Henne days in Miami don't look good. Pat White already said ?Dont draft me to play slash or WR. Im a QB." Plus he refused to work out at the combine and pro day as a WR. I don't think you draft a guy that high if he wasn,t gunna be your QB. So leaves us saying . Does Bill and Tony talk him into WR or is Henne not our future. To draft White at #44 who we dont no can even run routes or catch a football is beyond me. So i will say Henne is done here.

The better player will win the job. Henne is far from a sure thing, bringing in some competition is good.

And if that person is Henne, White will either have to accept a role of Wildcat QB / reciever, or look for another team.

Pat White did not refuse to workout at his Pro Day as a WR.
From Sports Illustrated

Pat White/QB/West Virginia: White told teams in attendance at his workout Thursday that he would participate in receiver drills or field punts upon request. He did none of that, rather performing brilliantly throwing the ball. White showed good speed on his passes and was very accurate all day. His passing drew praise from the scouts at the West Virginia pro day.
White did workout as a WR for the Patriots last month.

According to league sources, White worked out as both a wide receiver and a quarterback for the Patriots, who might be viewing him as a versatile player that they could use in their own version of the Wildcat, which grew in popularity around the NFL after the Miami Dolphins used it to score a 38-13 victory over the Patriots on Sept. 21.

why is he done? he has no right to be our qb, just as white doesnt - they will COMPETE and the better qb will win. whats wrong with that?

Pat White didn't workout has a WR on PRODAY. read the whole thing you tried to shut me up with
You said Pat White REFUSED to workout at his Pro Day when in fact he said he would if asked but no team asked him.

Competition is good, especially when we already have a real deal starting quarterback locked in this season. Besides, when he realizes that he will be on every highlight reel, every week, I dont think he will mind being a roll player if he does not win the starting job.

As far as Feeling bad for Henne? Yes I sure do feel about as bad for Henne as most felt for Beck!! I mean come on, we drafted white to put the best player on the field wether it's White or Henne. I hope it's White only because I think he brings alot more to the table. If our future lies with Henne then I'll support him 100%!!!!

Chad Henne doesn't win football games.

Pat White doesn't win football games.

The Miami Dolphins win football games.

Win football games please.

Don't.

Henne is a great game manager. Sporano has talked about how good he looks, the ball jumping out of his hand. They've worked hard this and last spring getting Ginn a supporting cast in Wilford, Bess, Turner, Hartline and London, some have hit, some have missed, some we don’t know just yet. Equally, they got Ginn a young QB with a big arm which will open up deep routes for him.

They’ve built a big O-line, which has some young roots and will be steady for a long time to come. They’ve built a big, young defensive end corps which is one dominant, young nose tackle away from being one of the best up-and-coming front threes in the league. They’ve worked hard to get pressure on the QB with the capture of Cameron Wake and the emergence of one of the league’s best pass rushing vets. They’ve built a great, deep, young, multi-faceted defensive backfield that can stay together for a long time. They’ve built a nice, steady power run game. All of which should keep our QB on the field.

Then they’ve built the wildcat. With talent like Ronnie Brown, Patrick Cobbs, Ricky Williams and Jake Long, it was a multi-wrinkled weapon. Now you add Pat White to that and wow, boy do we have a weapon.

The wildcat will be more potent this year than last and sure as hell will be more the year after that but it will only cater for a certain percentage of our snaps. The rest of the time, what do you want out of your QB? You want a consistent, accurate guy, who can open up a consistently threatening route tree that doesn’t turn the ball over. A Colt McCoy, a Chad Pennington and given time, a Chad Henne.

So White wants to be a QB, I don’t blame him, he has an incredible skill set. The wildcat will give him the chance to play QB in the NFL. He’s got a battle ahead of him though to get in front of Henne to be this team’s starting quarterback. Just like Henne has. For too long, we’ve signed second rate, average and damn right bad QBs and handed them the starting spot as a reward for signing the contract, taking the bucks and turning up. No more. Rejoice.

Henne vs White. I like it.

henne is going to blow him out of the water.its going to be funny.taking snaps under center, getting rid of the ball on time,3 -5 step drops, learning a new offense, reading nfl defenses lol.the gm said the right thing.yeah we will give him a shot lol.good luck-well now that your struggling ,how would you like to get on the field?pat says "any way i can"

Henne has to get past Pennington before he can worry about White
White will start before Henne in the WildCat. If the WildCat is as successful as many believe it will be with the addition of WildCatPat, we may see it emerge as a Co-Offensive System & Pennington & White become TandemQB's on the Offense.
WildCatPat could be a real game changer; we shall see.

I don't feel bad for Henne. Him and Pat White should make a great quarterback tandem for years to come. Again, Henne runs the conventional offense. Pat White runs the Wildcat and other specialty plays. I don't understand why this is so hard for some of you to grasp?

Pat white is our slash player and backup qb (3rd string) and backup wr. Anyone that thinks otherwise is cuckoo! With him playing wildcat qb randomly i think that gets us 3 extra wins. is three extra wins worth a 2nd round pick. i say hell yes. everyone needs to look at the big picture.
