With all the talk about Feeley having to win the starting job, and Gus already knowing the system.........exactly what system is it that Saban is implementing? What makes this system so difficult for feeley to master?

Very simiar to the system ran at Miiny. Linehan has already comment on this a few times. Gus having been in the system for two years already has an understandable advantage.

its not that its difficult to master, its just that gus already mastered it while feeley has to start from scratch...

its not about it being difficult, its about gus having a head start...

Its about going from "thinking" to "instincts". It takes some time, no matter what the system is. I do know that we will enjoy watching the O this year though...much more wide open, with more deep balls, and 3 WR sets.

CD13 I understand your point, thinking compared to instincts but the rest of the post I am still not clear on. Is Feeley having trouble with the type of formation the offense is using? does he have trouble throwing the deep ball? what about the system is he having trouble with?

No, it's more about what he's suppose to do I would think by now. I'm sure he's seen the different D's and should be able to recognized what he see's, now it's knowing who in the O can take advantage of the weak area in the D. I.E., knowing the O well enough to know where to go, once he understands what he sees on the D. He needs reps period.
