whats up dolfans im just writing to express that i hope feeley gets a fair chance and they don't just hand it to guss.feeley is still young he is raw needs to tune fine his game a bit maybe with saban he will become a better practice player also. guss is a good qb but we need to see what this kid can do with a better o line and a running game maybe just maybe he lives up to his potential.
 
I think the only reason Gus would get the job i cause he knows the system. It all depends on how Felley deals with stuff in traning camp. But I think Feeley will get the job done.
 
I just PRAY that Gus doesn't get the job because of his relationship with Linehan, he better earn it. Even though I still think Feeley will outplay him in camp/preseason
 
tru, didn't you just post something similar to this a couple of days ago. don't worry man, everybody knows where you stand. he'll get a fair shake, but he better work his arse off if he wants the job.
 
I'm waiting to see what Chambers84 and Dudeman have to say about this thread.
 
He's getting a fair shot. Now we have to hear people complain about this?? C'mon, If it's not one thing with Feeley it's another.
 
Feeley will get a fair shot. Don't you think Saban would like that 2nd rd pick he lost to pay off? It's all up to Feeley.

Feeley is constantly undermined by whims of ravenous retribution and prayer. I'm sorry but what the hell has he EVER done to justify any potential outcry for validation? I've heard the whole "Last three weeks of last season" speech. Beautiful. He stood up when the rest of us were reclining in cynical outrage and mild drips of sympathy pathos.

And what is all this "still young" talk. WHo the hell has a 28 year old developmental quarterback? A starting, developmental, 28 year old, never proven, never was, never has been, never will be quarterback?

If Feeley can provide adequate sustainability then fine, but he's not the answer for the future. Neither is Gus, but at least it seems Gus has proven himself on a few more instances than A.J.

If Gus wins the job, it will have nothing to do with Linehan. Last I checked Saban was the head coach and will make the final decisions. If Gus gets the job, he will have earned it.
 
Feeley will definitely get a fair shot. I think that Saban will start the QB that he believes will give us the best shot to win, he won't go in to the process with his mind already made up.

You lost all credit by the end of the first sentence. If you think AJ had a 'fair shot' last year there's no point in reading the rest of your post.

He's been in the league for 4 YEARS!! Played in 18 games!! By that much time and experience you know what you have 99.9% of the time. Besides Priest Holmes, name a player who has really changed over that much time.
 
As has been said over and over, he will have his fair shot in training camp and preseason, if he fails, he has no one to blame. If he fails, look for him in the 2006 Arena league!
