DIEHARD DOLPHIN
Guys, I've been watching football for a long, long time. Let me say this bluntly, FEELEY is NOT our solution at QB.
All he has is a stronger arm than Fiedler, but he's so raw that we'd have to have 3 losing seasons before this guy learned how to play the position.
Let's list it:
He has no pre-snap read. If he sees the defense readying a blitz he shows no recognition of it and his inexperience makes it impossible for him to audible out of a disastrous play.
He has no periphal instincts. The best QB's I've seen can always "feel" pressure. Feeley is a deer in headlights with tunnel vision. He can't see anything coming from either side of him.
He doesn't "look off" the defense. Experienced QB's or at least good ones look off defenders by turning their helmets one way and then coming back the other way once the safeties react. Feeley is locked on his guy which is why he HAS to throw underneasth where the pass is short enought o get away with it. Downfield the db's just watch his eyes and key in. This guy is 3 or 4 years from being worth a crap at this position.
Finally, Feeley makes bad choices. He's literally playing like a guy with 8 starts since high school. I mean, based on his play and decision making you'd HAVE to bench this guy in college, much less the NFL.
The difference between Feidler and Feeley is that Fiedler, while limited by his inconsistencies and talent, is winner at heart. He finds a way, he claws, he scrapes, he fights to the bitter end. Feeley is NOT a winner. He doesn't put the ball where you have to put it to win. He's struggling with too much ignarance at his job to be effective.
At this point I feel like we're starting the owner's son at QB. I mean, objectively look at his play. He looks like he's getting protected by the owner cuz I would have pulled him at half time for sure.
Today the offensive line played much better, still not good, but much improved. The defense played their hearts out and deserved to win yet again.
The WR's made the most of their opportunities and McMichael was once again fantastic. And how about Leonard Henry running with smarts and power? And not one fumble.
So.... let's see.... did I cover everyone?
Nope. I've got one left. FEELEY lost this game. If you disagree with this then you're too stupid to talk to. The difference in this game was Feeley. His turnovers, int's and fumbles defined this loss.
He needs to put his diapers back on and hold on to that clipboard with both hands and learn something for a change.
If we're going to suck, I say we suck with Fiedler who with all of his problems still gives us a better chance to win than A.J. Clueless.
0-3. I never thought I'd see the day.
Feeley is NOT the solution. Anyone who disagrees is very, very wrong and delusional. Read my post again, especially the part that details what good QB's do. Tell me he's going to put it ALL together in time for us to make a playoff run.
He's a wasted 2nd round pick, so is Gordon (3rd), so is Wade (2nd), so is our 10th linebacker that we got in round 2 and got hurt first year (he's so not a factor his name escapes me). This team has been decimated by bad decisions (especially on the offensive line) in free agency and the draft.
So, yeah I'll say it, WE SHOULD HAVE OVER PAID for the free agents we wanted. We SHOULD hqave overpaid Wade to have him stay at right tackle.
I mean, we didn't get Tait and a whole nother bunch of players because of salary cap considerations?
WELL CONGRATULATIONS, RICK! WE'RE 0-3 BUT YOU'RE DAMN CAP LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!! SCREW THE CAP RAMIFICATIONS. GET THE PLAYERS.
If I'm the owner, I fire everyone and just start fresh with a goods offensive mind and let him draft and everything else. Spielman gave his ok to Wade, James, McKinney, Whitley and St. Clair as our offensive line which has to be the grossest display of lack of talent evalution skills ever.
Every single member of this organization should just be ashamed of themselves. We got complacent, we grew fat. We have a gorgeous cap, though. And who cares about the damn cap, now?
