Yea so I started another Feeley thread, shoot me.

After reading all of the posts today and from the past week I have been seeing a lot of the "2nd round pick" argument being used, and it got me thinking. Do you think Feeley feels a lot more pressure knowing that is what he was traded for? Like he feels he can't groom into a good QB, he must get the job done now? And that may be the reason hes struggling.

Anyway thats just my thoughts.

I am a huge Feeley supporter.

However, if that is the reason then we need to dump him now. If the player is too worried in living up to their draft pick they will never reach their full potential.

IMO Feeley likes the pressure and I don't that plays onebitinto his thinking.

I was wishing Feeley the best. The fact of the matter is however is that he plants himself like a tree in the pocket and stares down his recievers too much. We got sacked 52 times last year and I know we had a week line but some of those could have been avoided with a little footwork. I have come to the conculsion the he was a wasted 2nd pick. We need a mobile QB until the line we have gets better. Frerotte has answered the call thus far. It's time for Feeley to battle for the backup spot with Sage and Berlin unless we end up with Couch and then I think Feeley could be history unless one of the other QBs get cut.

Feeley = RIck's big gamble that busted, let's move on.

IF he can't handle the pressure of being a 2nd round pick, how can we ever expect him to step up and produce when the pressure is flying at him at mach 3 wieghing 400 lbs? I want feeley to be the man, but if he can't give the coaches a reason to make him the man, then he doesn't deserve the job. The great ones step up in the face of adversity and that has been feeley's problem, he doesn't step up.

I don't think he likes the pressure. It sure doesn't appear that he does.

He looks frustrated, acts frustrated and does interviews and says how frustrated he is.

If he liked the pressure that wouldn't happen. He would be act more like Drew Brees. Drew MUST have felt some pressure last year, all he did was prepare harder and PERFORM BETTER.

It could work both ways....it also could've motivated him to show what he's got. I dont think you can look at it like that. The guy just needs to prove himself, and he hasnt done a good job so far!

Man, you hit it right on the head. I have no desire to watch AJ struggle and drag us down in the process, to become another good backup!

When does he say he is frustrated in interviews?

All I see is him saying he is complacent and nothing is ever good enough which means he wants to get better.

You obviously didn't read any of the interviews he gave after the last game.

It should be up on the Dolphins site or I'm sure the Herald & sentinnel have quotes from it.

Right. Why do you think he suck, hopefully not because you just think that he does.

Feeley's stats speak for themselves and let's face it, he blows.

2004 QB rating 61.7 11 - TDs --- 15 - Ints 7 of them returned for TDs
2005 Preseason QB rating first game 42.7 2nd game 27.7

Does this really look like a guy playing for the start QB spot or a wasted 2nd round pick from a Coach/GM grasping at straws?
