I want to give credit to Joe Rose, who is normally a big company man and a homer, for ripping Chris Grier and Ross a new one on his radio show. Felt like listening to 90's radio. He went old school on them.

I am exhausted by the negativity on the main forum. There was so much negativity here during the 7 game losing streak (and rightly so) but then they go and take action after the season to address what they deemed as unacceptable and there’s still negativity around that. They literally can’t do right for doing wrong.
Then there’s the coach search… before we even fired Flores the hottest names in circulation were Harbaugh, Daboll, Moore, Bieniemy, McDaniel. They’ve requested interviews with three of those five and Harbaugh - to the best of my knowledge - isn’t interviewing with anyone. We haven’t requested interviews with anyone that other teams aren’t heavily pursuing. Yet every time it’s announced we want to interview one of these guys the threads on here get hate and negativity spewed all over them.
Then there’s Dan Quinn who was coaching in a Super Bowl 5 years ago as a HC, won the super bowl as a DC and has turned around the Cowboys defense. Again, a torrent of negativity all over the main board.
I’ve read people saying “I won’t follow the Dolphins any more if Harbaugh is appointed. I hate him.”
Who the hell do you guys want or expect? I really can’t see what they’ve done wrong since they decided to can Flores. The only real absentee is Pederson but it’s not like he’s the proven second coming of Shula. Pretty sure there’d be negativity there too.
I don’t like Ross any more than any of you but I cannot see what else they could be doing in the HC search since Monday. Some people around here make the main forum a tough place to be sometimes. Thank goodness for the lounge and the 347 club.

Do yourself a huge mental health favor and take breaks away from this stuff.
If you didn’t take breaks from the main forum in here you’d likely be subliminally convinced that the world will implode by month’s end.

Fight the negativity by:
1) Providing actual facts
2) Providing accurate, detailed, technical analysis (Something "Lemmings" pride themselves on, but are not good (or honest) with).
3) Never hesitate to point out the weakness of their arguments.
4) When their arguments become outrageous hyperbole, point it out and make fun of them.
5) It's always proper to "bully" a "bully". How else will they learn the "error" of their ways. - LOL
6) Never fail to recognize a reasonable argument, even if you do not agree with it. Differing opinions are not the same as a constant flow of negativity. Example, with a 7-string losing streak followed by a 7-string winning streak, it's fair to censure any arguments about one streak that ignores the other.
7) Have fun - remember - those "sour pusses" are only happy when they are complaining, so show them a "good time" by highlighting how lame their posts are and watch them respond with what I call "the Lemmings lament"; identified by terms like "I'm a realist" or "everyone agrees" about a given point (universally false).
Laughing really is a very good medicine in dealing with "Lemmings". That way even they are good for something - being laughed at - LOL
