"If you're somebody like me -- and I know Chad is the same way -- who gives everything to the team that they play for, when they decide that they don't want you to be a part of that it obviously hurts -- and you want to prove them wrong," Feely said. "You bring that into the game."

Thompson asked Feely if Feely had given thought to his dream scenario on Sunday.

"No question," Feely said, "a game-winner."

Pennington isn't the only player out to prove their old team wrong in this weeks match up. I never minded Feely, but at this point I am happy with Carpenter and don't miss Feely one bit.

Forgive me if this has been posted already.http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-4-619/Feely-out-to-prove-Dolphins-wrong-Sunday.html

Sure hope he's ready to kick some FG's, because they won't be getting in the endzone this week

I also hope he's ready to get surgery, because when we block one of his FG's the ball is gonna smack him straight in his big mouth.

Maybe the Jets should stick Feely at QB. Favre doesn't seem interested in the outcome based on his press conference posted in another thread here.

I really dont know why we got rid of feely. I am not going to second guess our staff but it was puzzling at the time. I will say whatever it was that they did not like about him, they were not alone in that feeling. KC signed him and the released him the next day. He then sat out there for awhile before the Jets picjed him up. It really makes me wonder what isnt being reported about him.

It was a big deal for us to cut him and use a draft pick up on a kicker. I like Carpenter but he dosnt look like an upgrade at the postion. He has been a reliable foot, but weak on Kickoffs. The last few games, since he missed that FG his kicks have been questionabl also. I hope it is just a slump and he gets back on the money again.

We did not draft Carpenter.

Carpenter was picked up as an UDFA. He and Feely competed in camp and there was no clear winner so IMO the FO went with the cheaper and younger option. Plus Carpenter clearly he has more upside then Feely as at his age Feely isn't going to get any better.

One thing to remember about Feely is that he grew up a Dolphin fan so getting cut had to sting extra hard.

what a loser all he did was cause drama and was a locker room cancer and this douche is syaing we didnt want him? NO **** hello u said we have ZERO talent and now we can go playoffs and they cant LMAOO i love DOUCHE BAGS getting karma coming their way.

dream scenario for me, Pennington leads late 4th quarter drive into FG range and Carpenter hits it to win the game AFTER Feeley misses a FG late for the Jets.

Do kickers have upside? Honest question. :err:
