Ferotte:

257/494 52%
2996yards 6.06 ypa
18TD 13INT

McNair:

292/476 61.3%
3161yards 6.64 ypa
16TD 11INT

Ok, let me start by saying this. Neither of these men deserve a trip to the Pro Bowl. BUT...that isn't the case.

While watching the Pro Bowl Skills Challenge on ESPN I saw a familiar afro. Somehow Steve McNair got to the Pro Bowl. I don't know how it happened, but it happened. He didn't even have a season worth cracking a smile about. According to the stats, it looks to me like he did no better than our own Gus Ferotte.

I do realize that Palmer got hurt, and Brady bruised his ego, but where are the guys like Brees and Roethlisberger? Even Trent Green is a stretch for the Pro bowl this season.

Why not let David Carr and J.P. Losman in the Pro Bowl too? They both had at least one good game this year.

Wow, never knew that.

To be honest though, I'd love McNair.

But we'd have to clone another one of him. One for the first 8 weeks, and another for the last 8 weeks.

According to your stats, McNair did a lot better than our own Gus.
That said, he didnt deserve the Pro Bowl

I would love to get McNair.

aside from 2 more TD passes, frerotte was worse than mcnair in every single statistic category. dunno how you can say he did no better than him.

McNair seems to get hurt every year id hate to see him in a fin uniform

??? What? It's not even close. Over half a yard better YPA and almost TEN PERCENT better accuracy? Not close at all. McNair is a huge upgrade.

The man if simply fragile. Please no more retread QB's.

With the exception of last year, his injury year (non-repeat threat) McNair has played at least 14 games and thrown at least 400 passes EVERY YEAR for the last six years.

he ain't half as fragile as people think he is. And, when people have misconceptions like that, that's when you swoop in and grab underrated talent.

As far as retread qbs... McNAir isn't going to play forever. You get him for two solid years while you groom your rookie.

That way you don't sacrifice the time while you're waiting for your rookie, like you do if you throw Gus out there every sunday.

Yeah those damn 4000 passing yards with a poor recieving core hate QB's like that

Mcnair Deserved it as much as anyone else

Frerotte vs. Mcnair

not exactly

Jordon vs. Bird...

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?

I SAID NOTHING ABOUT BRINGING MCNAIR TO THE DOLPHINS!!

I was merely pointing out how rediculous it was that he made the Pro Bowl.

And if you guys, who seem to be in love with McNair, think that 16 TDs and 3100 yards is much better than 18 TDs and 2900 yards then you guys are morons and I'm glad Saban is running the team and not you guys.

Worst Idea Ever: Bring in a guy that started for the Houston Oilers when they were still in Houston and were still the Oilers.

Yea! Good one! Let's get Brett Favre, Jerome Bettis, and Rod Woodson too.

How do you rebuild a franchise? Bring in some old guys!

Mcnair is no less fragile than Gus Frerotte who missed one game and had to be taken out of two games. Its easy to say a guy who has been on the bench the last 5 years is not an injury risk. I mean what injury do you get from the bench, splinters? Frerotte is no where as good as Mcnair and had a much better receiving corp than Mcnair. McNair is in the pro bowl as an alternate and his season is no where near as bad as the year that Gus fell into the pro bowl as an alternate with 12 tds and 11 int.

Please tell me who was more deserving to go to the pro-bowl over Green other than Palmer,Manning, and Brady. Brees was actually before Green in line as an alternate but he is injured remember? Not that it matters since Green actually had a better year and QB rating than Brees. Roethlisberger needs to throw for more than 2,300 yds before he should be considered for a pro-bowl, though he was probably more deserving than Mcnair.

IM NOT COMPARING THESE QBS IN REGARD TO THEM BEING OUR QB NEXT YEAR! I DONT WANT EITHER OF THEM, I WAS JUST SAYING MCNAIR DOESNT DESERVE THE PRO BOWL

1. Let me see... whatever could I have been responding to?

Could it have been this:
According to the stats, it looks to me like he did no better than our own Gus Ferotte.

Why, yes, yes it was.

2. Hm. Who is older, McNair or Gus? Not a hard question. Simple math. You can do it.

And if you guys, who seem to be in love with McNair, think that 16 TDs and 3100 yards is much better than 18 TDs and 2900 yards then you guys are morons and I'm glad Saban is running the team and not you guys.

So let me get this straight... you think there are only two stats to measure a quarterback by? YPA doesn't matter to you? Completion percentage?

As to the "you guys are morons"...
