I just finished watching Hard Knocks Ep. 2 and took a few things from it regarding the team.

1. Philbin saying that Chad was not a good mesh based on where the team is heading. Could that be a sign he's leaning towards Ryan Tannehill at qb and a youth movement at WR this season?
2. Seeing Brian Gaines (Asst GM) try to motivate Wallace makes me wonder if we could have our next GM in house if Ross decides to let Ireland go in the next year or two? It seems he has the people skills that Ireland doesn't, and If I recall St. Louis wanted him for there personnel dept and we refused to allow them to interview this offseason.
3. People talking about cutting Les Brown and he being the worse TE ever is a little much. Were talking about an undersized TE that looks more like a receiver and there asking him to block DL/LB in addition to his lack of football experience. If he's going to be used in the future I expect he will be off the line and utilize his speed or there going to stash on the PS tell him to add 20 lbs.
4. I can't tell if there not happy with Egnew because he can't block or overrall everything? If it's because he can't block then they should have expected that coming out of the spread in Mizz where he wasn't asked to do that.

I think they're upset with Egnew because he doesn't know his assignments.

As hoops likes to point out, Egnew never had to block at Mizzou, ever. He was basically a WR as Mizzou just goes a bunch of people wide and hit short passes. He's not a good blocker and they're teaching him that aspect.

As for Les Brown, based on how they talk I think they realize it's a work in progress but the coaches love him and his athletic ability.

i came away with the impression they are high on Hogan always open.
David Garrard seemed like he was just going with the motions and not upset about his knee. Did not seem like cares..
Ryan T-hill looks fired up and ready to go funny seeing him singing i think the vets like him. He brings an enthusiasm that has been lacking..
Moore just assumed he would be the starter after garrard was declared injured. I like the new line coach former marine keeps it funny yet inspiring.
The chad your fired interview was a surprise to see chad seemed humbled by the whole thing. I think the dolphins really wanted it to work out though chads head was not in it. I found it interesting that ireland said we have lots of receivers that are 4 5 and sixes and they want to find the 1 2 3's so this may force the dolphins to do more 2 tight end sets...

Agreed, he does look a bit confused or overwelmed out there. All due respect to Egnew (I would love to see him get it and start looking better), I am kind of rooting more for Les Brown.

Because the man is a modern day Romeo who professes his love for his modern day Juliet with such great lines as "You look hot" ?

His best line was right after that saying "as use...", pulled right out of a junior high school yearbook.

Where did you get that from?? The coach told him he will be the starter and he was like 'WHAT? When were you guys going to tell me?'

One of the more lighter notes of the show

I agree with everything else though

Oh and I agree about Egnew. I also think what irks them is how immature the guy seems. When Dan Campbell told Fasano to look out for "that kid" I knew exactly what he meant.

I think they want to see him come out more focused because he has that dopey look on his face almost every time I see him.

I think Egnew has the ability, but he needs a year on the PS to bulk up and learn how to block. I think his hands are fine.
He was a definite reach where we took him, I would have rather taken a receiver in that spot.

I think one of our young receivers will surprise us...although I am not sure who it will be at this point. I am somewhat impressed with what Pruitt has done so far.
