Fiedler An Alternative

I've said this on some other boards, but I wanted to share this thought. If Harrington were not available, who would you rather have has the backup QB? I would take Fiedler. I know, many people here hate Fiedler, but I respect him. He was tough, and made the most out of the little talent he had. I think he would be a great backup QB and has the exp, if all his injuries are healed, that I'm not sure of, to play until Culpepper is ready. He did have a decent starting record, and he would be playing behind a much more solid line that before. What do you all think?

I'd take Fiedler.....he's proven he can win games, but is not a long term starter in this league. I'd consider him an outstanding BACKUP QB.

Are you outta your damn mind? He has a good record because he was on a good team not because he was a good QB. I was really hoping he would get a chance to prove that last year with the Jets but he is even more brittle than Pennington. Any shot AJ Feeley had at success was killed when Wanny brought Fiedler back. Oh that and AJ stunk but let's not go there. For the first time since Marino retired Dolphin fans can actually root for the starting QB and not his back up and bringing back Fiedler, Griese (stupid Bears), Huard, Lucas, is just ridiculous.

I agree. Tommy Maddox is complete trash. I would much rather have Jay Fielder.
