Fiedler Stats
Last 6 1/2 GAMES

11 INT (1.69 per game)
7 FUMBLES (1.08 per game)
19 SACKS (2.92 per game)
4 TD (.62 per game)
WOW....what kickass stats for a linebacker

Coach Dave Wannstedt said Monday he didn't know about either players' availability for the Buffalo game, but said Fiedler would start if he's able.

It is unbelievable that a head coach in this league would stick with a QB that is so clearly UNFIT to be the starter. I've never been a Dave Wannstedt basher, but this is ridiculous. There is no reason why Jay Fiedler should still be starting for us. If we had any sense at all, we'd use the rest of this season to get AJ Feely some needed work so that he's ready for business next year. Dave is sticking by Fiedler till the bitter end and will go down with the ship because of it. I know we will likely not fire Dave until season's end, but Spielman should really step in in this case and tell Dave for the betterment of the team and for it's future, play AJ and let him learn the position of QB this year as all QB's have to do. Peyton Manning went through it. Matt Hasselback went through it. This is the perfect time to do it. Maybe the line gels by mid season and AJ gets some momentum.

It is truly insanity and, though I believe Dave is a good defensive coach, he's completely blinded by this Fiedler obsession.

Because Feeley's stats as a Dolphin for 2 1/2 games THIS year are better then Fiedler's stats as a Dolphin for 2 1/2 games this year.
And as someone else posted, feeley played defenses ranked much higher then what Fiedler has faced. Plus the offensive line is begining to gel giving more fiedler more time. plus feeley played in a hurricane. plus wanny only calls shotgun when fiedler is in there. need i go on?

Exactly. One more point: Fiedler had FOUR YEARS. Feely had FOUR GAMES in the NFL. That's it. This guy (Feely) just needs experience. Unfortunately, he won't get it so long as Dave Wannstedt is our coach and Jay Fiedler and his sub 50 QB rating are healthy.

Everyone who's watched the Dolphins this year understands the difference between the two. We understand when Fiedler overthrows an open man across the middle by ten yards, and Feely hits them in stride.

Feely is young and will make bad decisions that can be corrected - ie throwing a pass while being hit. Fiedler makes bad decisions and can't throw the ball accurately with any consistency, so even if he makes the corrections (after four years as a astarter no less) he still can't get the ball in there with accuracy.

This is such a tired subject and it's so frustrating that everyone can see the truth except Dave.

Here's the deal, and correct me if I'm wrong, but fans this year will tolerate Dolphins losses if they lead to a better team next year. If AJ grows into the position this year and is ready to take off next year, then his growing pains are well worth it. Heck we all can see the weapons he's going to have in a year's time: Chambers, Booker, Boston, McMichael etc.

Feely needs to play and he needs to play the rest of the way.

Fiedlers bad stats don't make Feeley better.

A good line would make Feeley better. Look at what he did while in Philly!

At this stage of the season not putting Feeley in to gain some experience for next season is probably one of the worst coaching decisions one will ever see. This ENSURES that Feeley doesnt get the experience and that we dont really know what we have. He needs to play out this season, period.

Wanny is absolutely the worst coach in the NFL. :fire:

Haha wanny's gonna start fiedler!! Now that the O-line is playin better play Feeley. If the O-line is playing better :( But wth we might as well see if Feeley should be here next year. We should start Feeley and see if he save this year.
