from what I could tell there were some throws to be had, however... that is some damn tight coverage.

The Stills drop still breaks my heart...

yeah. not crazy about some of the route combos and the plays where there is a primary only and every one else is supposed to block for that route. it was the first game and in a tough environment. i'm sure it will progress.

Damn they crashed to the middle unbelievably on that fourth down play

Solid coverage throughout that caused coverage sacks, little separation and a lane for the QB sneak.

There are plays where he had more time and he could have waited for more to unfold and he pressed - like the pass to Stills in the endzone.

There are plays when he seems to have no awareness of what his offensive lineman were doing and was an easy mark for a sack.

Overall he did OK - he needs to run more - if the Seahawks are great at covering get as much as you can with your legs...

Tannehill did a pedestrian average amount in this game - just enough to lose...not his fault entirely that the Dolphins lost but he did his share to contribute to the loss.

2:52 - The first over throw on an open Stills.

Everyone is up in arms about his drop but where is the same accountability for this obvious missed TD?

I'm surprised they didn't go back to that play again. Stills did a great job with his route and getting open. Obviously, catching the ball would have been nice. There will be some plays to make in the deep game this year, especially if Foster can stay healthy and continue to produce.

The coverage reads are correct...only ball i think he wants back is the stills vs the lb down the seam overthrow

The 2nd sack i was wondering what he was thinking hes shifting laterally correctly to the left to throw that inside stop route but the pressure eats him up...nothing he could do

I like the lateral shift left on the cameron zone drop play...thats foot work in the pocket

The last ball to stills i know people think he had something there and it was the correct decision but i think if that balls on target the safety at worst contest it...that was a similar throw to the one carson palmer had on sunday night at the end of the game if its on target its contested by the deep db

get used to twist to try to exploit our pass pro cause guys cant win one on one individually vs our oline

theres little to no separation and hardly a threat playing. Hurry up dvp we need a boundary guy teams must account for desperately

So much damn zone

Can someone explain to me why the 3rd and 18 is not holding on Seattle? The left DE bear hugs James and drags him to the inside, freeing up the stunting DT.

Seattle is the best team in the league at getting away with defensive holding. Watch them in the secondary, especially. They coach their guys specifically to know how to do it when the refs aren't looking, and have admitted as such in the past. It's part of what makes them so good, particularly at home where they get the benefit of the calls more.

I'm rooting for tannehill but you have to expect him to do more in the pocket. His awareness is still garbage. Watching Roethlisberger and Rogers play this week made me so jealous. Those guys slide throughout the pocket avoiding pressure while never taking their eyes off the receivers. Sets up so many opportunities for big downfield plays. I'm not asking for Tannehill to be as good as them because he's not, but if he improves his pocket awareness just a little he could extend many more plays and be a much better qb.

Get ready for a few more sacks this week. The Patriots have a good defense and like to use stunts and move guys around, which is what we struggled with mostly against the Seahawks from what I could see.
