Motivation has been restored. Finally, some incentive to continue the season. At last, some enticement to play the remaining games on the schedule.

The Dolphins' win last week against the Chicago Bears has renewed hope in the minds of many on the roster heading into Sunday's home game against Kansas City.

But for several others, that motivation never left. And the reason might not be what many fans might think. Twenty-one players on the roster -- or 40 percent -- will have their contracts expire after the season.

''There's always something to play for,'' defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday said. ``A lot of people don't know the intimate details of an NFL player's life, so it's difficult to understand all of the reasons to be motivated.''

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
we must resign Welker and Bell. And keep holliday around....:dolphins:

They will re-sign Bell, Denney, Welker and hopefully Traylor because he is so big.

it's nice to speculate about resigning traylor or holliday, but at some point, saban's stockpiling of Dlineman has to bear results. Manny Wright (for cryin' out loud), Vickerson, Roth, Evans, Rodrique Wright: that's 5 draft picks! = what?

Yes, to Bell, Denny, and Welker. The rest are Question Marks. With the young draftee's it time to move up, the old vets are all right, but we have to start using our draft picks. I said in a previous post that Saban's decisions on players seems a little slow and sometimes hesitant to the point of foolish mistakes.

Bell and Welker are restricted FA, so signing them will be easy.

Roth is playing more this season. Vickerson and Evans are still developing and we may see them soon. Rod Wright is learning a new position and will crack the rotation in 2007.

there is no way that holiday is re-signed

and there is no way that DMac in NOT re-signed

MIA keeps 10 DLineman

4 DE's Taylor,Bowens,R.Wright,Roth
3 DT's Carter, Evans, Vickerson
3 NT's Wilkinson,(?),M.Wright

Bowens needs to be re-signed

We will use Holiday's vacancy to sign a NT to replace Tractor Traylor

Carter will move to the right side to replace Holiday and R.Wright will move over to LE

...then DMac needs to be re-signed to either play starter to a rookie or backup to whoever is the starter, nuff said

Bell and Welker are easy re-signs

IMO. Bell and Welker are the only ones that need to be re-signed. The others are just practice meat. Let the re-building begin.

didnt Manny Wright go back to school

He indeed did. Wright's gone, and Vick isn't... which bothers the heck out of me, but hey.

We already did that. His name is Dan Wilkinson.

Bell and Welker are most definitely being re-signed.

Wright is in school, but he is under contract. He'll be back next year.

Dan didn't replace Traylor...he's his backup. With Traylor leaving next season...we'll need Wilkinson's backup now.

Did you forget that football players are "humans"? They need breathers and get injured remember? This aint Madden.
