Final Pieces next year to a championship caliber team..? Draft and Free Agency.

i think we filled left tackle for the long term and QB in tbe draft. The rest of it I don’t know.

Possibly Creed Humphrey, C

Ja’marr Chase, WR is a beast and would be an amazing bpa add

Travis Etienne, RB

Pat Freirmuth, TE

Micah Parsons, LB

We have the most important piece - we suffered through 2019 for Tua.
Most important needs:
Upgrades at RT, DT, RB, C, WR.

I agree next year will be adding some impact type players. Devonta Smith is the guy who I’m looking at. He had an insane rapport with Tua and he outshined Jeudy and Ruggs at times despite being in an offense that already featured 2 number 1 WRs. He was clutch for Bama in big games. Would love to give Tua one of his guys.

RB is probably still a need Etienne would be top of my board as well.

We also may need an edge. Sounds crazy considering we drafted 2 and signed 2. We’ve invested a lot of resources. But honestly Strowbridge and Weaver are both mid round fliers. And neither Ogbah or Lawson are bonafide pass rush threats. Hopefully one of the young guys are gems and breakout, maybe the pass rush by committee works perfectly. But there is definitely still a chance it’s an area of weakness for us. Gregory Rousseau looks like early top prospect.

Safety May be the biggest need. Rowe looked solid but it was a transition year for Him tough to say if he’s a full time Sure fire starter or a sub package specialist type coverage safety. McCain seemed to struggled making the transition. Marcus Williams from Saints is the guy I would target. They won’t be able to afford to keep him with their other FAs. He’s most noticeable from the minnesota miracle, but his numbers are solid he’s a ball hawk who has 10 picks in 3 years. And only gonna be 24 during free agency.

So give me Devonta Smith, Travis Etienne and Marcus Williams in free agency. As my three impact players to get us over the hump. The rest of my picks/Cap will be used to continue to beefup the trenches

Odds are good we will be in the right tackle market next year.

Jerome baker needs to take a step this year or we need to upgrade that next year also.

but right tackle looks like an obvious one with a better feet and foot speed option

theres a lot riding on christian Wilkins at dt taking a step also.

I think the priority moving forward will always be about protecting Tua. I could see another concentrated effort next year, especially if guys like, Hunt and Kindley don't cut it.

I also suspect they'll start filling in the skill positions around Tua. The issue becomes all the money spent on the current group of WR's the team already has. Several of them are signed for 2-3 more yrs.

The Brian Flores effect on the team, pushed a bunch of no name player's to 5 wins in the last nine games. If he's as good as last season, Miami could be a 7-8 win team. If there is marginal improvement on both sides if the ball Miami could surprise and perhaps win 8-9 games.

The front office has done a masterful job of signing quality F/A's who look primed to improve the overall team. They had a real plan, unlike in years past, when it felt like Miami chased the high priced F/A. They executed perfectly.

I hope Miami hits on 4 or more of these draft picks. Meaning they've found quality contributors, who can be counted on a weekly basis. Combined with the F/A class could push Miami into the playoff picture. I'm hoping for the best, but am a bit concerned about several of the choices made during the draft. Hopefully the Flores effect has the desired developmental impact on these kids, like it had on last seasons kids.

1st round targets, 2 picks....

Penei Sweet, Creed Humphrey, JaMarr Chase, Micah Parsons, Rashod Bateman, Devonta Smith, Dylan Moses

2nd round targets, 2 picks.....

Travis Ettienne, Chubba Hubbard, Najee Harris, Richard LeCounte

There will be more, but for now this is my list

I see no problem with fans talking about what they would like to seein 2021. I fail to see how that hurts anything. Most of us knew going in this was going to be a two or three step process. No harm thinking about step two. I'm sure the Dolphins scouting staff is already thinking about next year's draft class too.
Nothing wrong with it at all, but it is dependent on how this years picks work out.

Definitely think we need that 10~ sack per year kind of edge rusher. Combining that with our secondary brings the defense into that Top 5 territory. Running back and C as well could use a decent pick on.

If your gonna fantasize might as well go with best.

Penei Sewell OT a name you Will be hearing more of. He's in his own Universe....very very rare and exceptional Talent that doesn't come around often...
Nice dream
Give me Sewell please! If we could walk away with Sewell and Creed Humphry next year, our line would be set for the foreseeable future. All would be on their rookie contracts too (sans Flowers). We could then invest some cap in Chris Jones who is a perfect fit for us during free agency.

I can dream right?

it has been awhile sense we had a consistent 10 sack guy

If we get the #1 pick, look to have multiple firsts for the rest of eternity...

I was actually thinking the most value we could get out of the number 1 pick is simply being able to control where Lawrence goes.... aka not to New England!
