The voting process is approaching us very soon as in a little over a week it'll begin. GMs have until April 29th, 2007 at 10 PM Eastern Time to submit their depth charts and starting roster. The team salary cap is at 57 million while you cannot have anymore than 53 players on your roster. Please give a brief overview of every position to try to win votes from other GMs who will be voting. Below is an example that you can follow exactly or you can make your own formatt. It's the Indianapolis Colts from last year (which I was the GM of), so if you don't like that formatt, you can go look in last year's forum for one you like. Remember, April 29th, 2007 at 10 PM Eastern Time! Good luck and get those rosters in ASAP!

Example:

Overview of the 2006-07 Indianapolis Colts

The 2006-07 Colts will be one of the top contenders in the NFL for the Super Bowl. With one of top, if not the top, offenses in the league, the Colts will being scoring points on any defense on sight. With Peyton Manning running the show, throwing the balls to receivers like Marvin Harrion, Lavarnues Coles, Koren Robinson, and Az-Zahr Hakim, the passing game will be at all time highs. Edgerrin James will prove his worth once again, running over all defenses and even catching a few balls now and then. The Indianapolis Colts defense has vastly improved. With the defensive being ran as 3-4 once again this year, the line will be anchored by the likes of Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, and Cory Simon. All three are pro bowl linemen. The linebacker position has improved, adding Pro Bowlers left and right. June and Brackett were resigned as one of the top MLB’s were brought to the Colts in Nick Barnett and a great OLB in Jamie Sharper was added. Two very good rookie linebackers were added as well. The cornerback position was upgraded as well, adding one of the top cornerbacks in Ken Lucas. Also adding a rising star in Ellis Hobbs, who had a great year as a rookie in New England. The safety position will be tough to beat, with Lance Schulters and Bob Sanders going side by side. And the specials teams will be very good once again with Vanderjagt and Smith returning. The newly acquired Koren Robinson will make the kick and punt returns a big threat to opposing teams. The Colts are built for now and the future, possibly the best team out there today.

Quarterback
1. Peyton Manning, 1,000,000
2. Seneca Wallace, 250,000
3. Kliff Kingsbury, 250,000

The Indianapolis Colts return with their future hall of fame quarterback, Peyton Manning, under center. The Colts have the top quarterback in the NFL, with the addition of Seneca Wallace, who will play as Manning’s back up, has shown flashes of reliance as he backed up Matt Hassellback in Seattle. Also signed was Kliff Kingsbury, who has an amazing college career, as a project quarterback to back up Wallace. With Manning under center, the Colts no doubt will have an unstoppable vertical game.

Halfback
1. Edgerrin James, 5,200,000
2. Dominic Rhodes, 550,000
3. Fred Russell 235,000

The Indianapolis Colts have resigned one of the top running backs in the league, Edgerrin James. The Colts will easily be able to switch from the pass game to the running game with Jame’s ability to run the ball with power and speed. James’ ability to catch the ball is another threat to the Indianapolis backfield. With a good back up in Dominic Rhodes and a shifty change of pace back in Fred Russell, the Colts have one of the best running back positions in the league.

Fullback
1. Naufahu Tahi, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

The Colts usually do not use a fullback in their offense, as they have been known to run many 4 receiver sets and singleback formations. The addition of Naufahu Tahi will bring new gameplans available to the Colts. Naufahu is only a rookie, but he should be able to open up the running game and do what he has to do. Adding Tahi not only added talent to the Colts offense, but also added more play options.

Wide Receiver
1. Marvin Harrison, 2,000,000
2. Lavarnues Coles, 2,000,000
3. Koren Robinson, 1,900,000
4. Az-Zahr Hakim, 250,000
5. Ben Obomanu, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

The Indianapolis Colts have one of the fastest wide receiver corps in the league. With Marvin Harrison leading the troops, the Colts will easily be known as a major passing threat. The Colts made sure the Manning/Harrison duo would continue, the chemistry between these two must not be ruined matter what. The additions of Lavarnues Coles, Koren Robinson, Az-Zahr Hakim, and Ben Obomanu will add more speed and more options for Manning to throw to. Peyton Manning can make a star out of anyone, it wasn’t long ago when he had 3 receivers with over 1,000 yards. One may go against Robinson and his off the field issues, the Colts realize that this past year he’s stayed out of trouble and he can return to a rising star in the NFL like he once was. Peyton should be able to use all these player’s speeds to his advantage, giving the Colts one of the best WR corps in the league.

Tight End
1. Dallas Clark, 648,000
2. Ernie Conwell, 250,000
3. Benjamin Hartsock, 385,000

The Indianapolis Colts have an up and coming Pro Bowler in Dallas Clark. Clarks showed flashes of greatness last year and should do well this year. With Manning under center, it’ll definetly give Clark a chance of showing off his skills. With Conwell and Hartsock backing up Clark, the Colts have the needed depth at tight end.

Left Tackle
1. Tarik Glenn, 3,350,000
2. Jahri Evans, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

Left Guard
1. Kris Dielman, 1,000,000
2. Dylan Gandy, 310,000

Center
1. Jeff Saturday, 1,750,000
2. Patrick Ross, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

Right Guard
1. Jake Scott, 385,000
2. Matt Ulrich, 310,000

Right Tackle
1. Ryan Diem, 2,500,000
2. Zach Strief, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

Although Indianapolis offensive line may be old in the left tackle and center regions, the Colts brought in two rookies, Zach Strief and Jahri Evans, that has much potential in the offensive tackle region. Also added was rookie center Patrick Ross. The team of Glenn, Dielman, Saturday, Scott, and Diem will get the job done again this year. The Colts GM did his best to make sure that chemistry was not messed with, as 4 out of the 5 starting offensive linemen are from last years line up. Good chemistry will equal sucess for this offensive line. And with a good offensive line, Manning and Co. will bring out the passing game and James will capitalize the running game. No doubt about this one bit.

Left Defensive End
1. Dwight Freeney, 5,000,000
2. Alvin McKinney, 500,000
3. Josh Thomas, 385,000

Right Defensive End
1. Robert Mathis DE 1,318,000
2. Alvin McKinney, 500,000
3. Mike Kudla, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

The Indianapolis Colts have two of the top defensive ends in the NFL in Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. These two ends will lead the defensive line of the Colts and will pick up many sacks and tackles and bring fear into every quarterback’s eyes. With a solid depth in the defensive end region, the Colts look very good in the upcoming season at the defensive end position. Also adding McKinney will help the lose of Raheem Brock. The addition of rookie Kudla should bring potential to the OSU defensive end.

Defensive Tackle
1. Corey Simon, 2,500,000
2. Lionel Dalton, 250,000
3. Anthony Bryant, 250,000

The Indianapolis Colts’ Defensive Tackle area may be their weakest link, but none the less, in the 4-3 defense, Simon and Dalton will be able to anchor the defensive line. Simon is still very young and is a great athlete and a good defensive tackle. Dalton will be used as the NT in the 3-4, using his size, yes all 315+ pounds of him, to clog the middle. Meanwhile, Corey Simon will be switching to RE to replace Robert Mathis in the 3-4. Anthony Bryant will be used as a NT in the 3-4 when needed, as he has great size (6'3", 336 lb), and although young, he can be molded into a good nose tackle in time.

Left Outside Linebacker
1. Jamie Sharper, 1,500,000
2. Clint Ingram, 250,000 (ROOKIE)

Middle Linebacker
1. Nick Barnett, 601,000
2. Gary Brackett, LB $1,318,000
3. Abdul Hodge, 400,000 (ROOKIE)

Right Outside Linebacker
1. Cato June LB, $1,318,000
2. Gilbert Gardner, 385,000

The Indianapolis Colts have really went to work at their linebacker position. All four of their starting linebackers were possible free agents, they were only able to resign Brackett and June. The Colts added one of the top MLB’s in the league, Nick Barnett, and a great OLB in Jamie Sharper. With the inexperience that is in the Colts linebacker corp, Sharper brings much needed experience. And with two of the top linebackers in the NFL draft, Abdul Hodge and Clint Ingram, the Colts linebacker corp is set for years.

Cornerback
1. Ken Lucas, 2,500,000
2. Duane Starks, 600,000
3. Ellis Hobbs, 310,000
4. Jason David, 385,000
5. Roderick Hood, 800,000

The Colts cornerback area was a big weak spot last year. With the lose of Nick Harper, the Colts brought in Ken Lucas, a younger and much better corner. Also brought in, Duane Starks and Roderick Hood. These two will definetly help the corner position of the Colts. Second year player Ellis Hobbs was traded to Indianapolis as well, as Hobbs started in New England as a rookie, picking up 3 interceptions and a good amount of tackles. The Colts have improved their cornerback corps and should be a threat for quarterbacks.

Free Safety
1. Lance Schulters, 800,000
2. Matt Giordano, 310,000

The Indianapolis Colts brought in Lance Schulters from Free Agency. Lance had a good year in Miami this past season and will bring experience and a smart free safety. Lance will help the Colts with the backfield of the defense. Backing up Schulters is Matt Giordano, he did well as a back up last year and he will be solid again this year. With the addition of Schulters, the Colts have definetly improved the safety position.

Strong Safety
1. Bob Sanders, 385,000
2. Mark Roman, 250,000

The Colts moved Bob Sanders from Free Safety to Strong Safety with his ability to make hard hits, speed, and coverage ability. Sanders will put fear in all receivers and running backs he will cover. Sanders has been known as one of the hardest hitter in the league and will continue his dominance in the NFL. Sanders was an All Pro Free Safety last year. Backing him up is former SS of the Green Bay Packers, Mark Roman. Mark is a great back up for the Colts.

Kicker
1. Mike Vanderjagt, 1,250,000

Punter
1. Hunter Smith, 670,000

Kick Returner
1. Koren Robinson
2. Az Zahr Hakim
3. Fred Russell

Punt Returner
1. Koren Robinson
2. Az Zahr Hakim

The Colts have a good special teams unit, with Vanderjagt returning as the Colts kicker, he is known as one of the top kickers in the league. Hunter Smith will be the punter again this year and will do well as usual. Returning punts and kicks will be Koren Robinson, who showed his worth last year in Minnesota, making a few return touchdowns. Backing him up will be speedsters Az Zahr Hakim and Fred Russell. The Colts have a very good special teams unit that should rack up a few points.

The New Orleans Saints
The Saints are a team that is coming off an NFC Championship game appearance. Rather than overhauling the roster unnecessarily, we tried to retain all of our valuable free agents while improving a couple of our weaker areas through trades, free agency, and the draft.

Quarterback
Drew Brees $2,800,000
Jamie Martin $1,000,000
Chris Leak $300,000

Drew Brees is a Pro Bowl quarterback in the prime of his career so no upgrade was needed in that area. Jamie Martin has been a solid backup quarterback for years and will continue in that capacity this season. We felt the need to pickup a young quarterback to groom as our future backup to Drew Brees. Chris Leak is alot like Drew Brees in the fact that he is a shorter quarterback who operated primarily out of the shotgun in college. Drew will be a good quarterback for Chris to learn from.

Running Back
Deuce McAllister $2,600,000
Reggie Bush $875,000

Ryan Moats $435,000

No real upgrade was needed here as Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush are one of the best 1-2 punch combinations in the NFL at the running back position. We added Ryan Moats as a backup. Moats was a third round pick a couple years ago and has performed well when he has gotten the ball in Philly. He also has experience as a kick returner and could contribute in that area as well.

Fullback
Mike Karney $870,000

Mike Karney is one of the best blocking fullbacks in the league. He can also carry the ball on short yardage situations and catch the ball out of the backfield when needed. We didn't feel the need to carry an extra fullback at this time since we run alot of two-back sets with both Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister in the backfield rather than a fullback.

Wide Receiver
Marques Colston $360,000
Joe Horn $4,450,000

Devery Henderson $510,000
Dwayne Bowe $550,000
Terrance Copper $1,000,000
Michael Clayton $755,000

Marcus Colston is one of the best young receivers in the NFL and he will be returning. Joe Horn is coming back as well. He is getting up in age but is still a very good receiver when healthy. He will provide verteran leadership to a fairly young WR corps. Devery Henderson is one of the best deep threats in the league (23.3 yrd per catch avg in 06) and he will continue to serve in that capacity this season. Dwayne Bowe was drafted in the first round to eventually replace the aging Joe Horn. Terrance Copper was a valuable player who did an excellent job filling in for Joe Horn last season. We feel he is a starting caliber receiver who will provide quality depth for us. Michael Clayton is at the bottom of our depth chart and hopefully can return to the form he showed as a rookie. We are confident he will be able to do so with a better quarterback and more talent around him.

Tight End
Daniel Graham $4,500,000
Billy Miller $300,000

Tight end is an area we were looking to upgrade at. We feel we did a good job by picking up the best tight end in free agency, Daniel Graham. Graham is a good all-around tight end who is not only a great receiver, but a great blocker as well. We retained Billy Miller as our backup tight end. Miller filled in well towards the end last season and came up with some big catches for us down the stretch.

Offensive Tackle
Jammal Brown $435,000
Jon Stinchcomb $850,000

Zach Strief $360,000
Rob Petitti $435,000

Jammal Brown is one of the best young left tackles in the league. He made the Pro Bowl last year and we expect him to go to many more in the future. Jon Stinchcomb is a former second round pick who moved into the starting lineup at right tackle and had a very good season last year. Zach Strief was a late-round steal for us last year. He got two starts at left tackle last season, holding Simeon Rice to 2 tackles and Julius Peppers to 0 tackles. Rob Petiti is another young reserve who has a year of starting experience and provides quality depth for us.

Offensive Guard
Jahri Evans $360,000
Jamar Nesbit $950,000

Montrae Holland $300,000
Tim Duckworth $300,000

Jahri Evans was one of the better rookies in the NFL last season. He was overshadowed on a team with Marcus Colston and Reggie Bush but he had an excellent rookie season and we believe he is a future Pro Bowler. Jamar Nesbit returns at left guard. He was a free agent pickup for us last year and he also had a very solid season. Montrae Holland is a young guard who started for us two years ago. He provides good depth for us at the guard position. Tim Duckworth was one of our draft picks out of Auburn. We really like his potential and he will be our other backup guard this year.

Center
Jeff Faine $701,250

Jeff Faine was a pro bowl alternate last season and will return as our starting center this season. Guard Jamar Nesbit has experience at center and will serve as Faine's backup should he get injured.

Defensive End
Will Smith $695,000
Charles Grant $545,000

Rob Ninkovich $360,000
Baraka Atkins $300,000

Will Smith is a rising star who was a pro bowl starter in just his second season last year. Charles Grant is one of the better all-around defensive ends in the league and will return on the other side. Rob Ninkovich was a draft pick for us last year. He showed alot of promise before suffering a season ending injury. He will return as a reserve defensive end along with rookie Baraka Atkins.

Defensive Tackle
Hollis Thomas $3,000,000
Darwin Walker $1,300,000

Brian Young $900,000
Quinn Pit**** $450,000
Turk McBride $300,000

Hollis Thomas was arguably the team's defensive MVP last season and we were able to re-sign him this year. We reunited him with a former teammate by trading for Darwin Walker from the Eagles. We feel the combination of Thomas and Walker will make us very tough up the middle. Brian Young has been starting for us the past few seasons and will provide quality depth at the defensive tackle postion. We added two rookies that we really like. Quinn Pit**** was one of the top defensive tackles in the draft and we feel Turk McBride will end up being a second day steal for us.

Linebacker
Scott Fujita $2,000,000
Edgerton Hartwell $2,600,000
Scott Shanle $700,000

Mark Simoneau $950,000
Omar Gaither $360,000
Alfred Fincher $435,000
Stewart Bradley $350,000

We didn't really need to upgrade at outside linebacker as Scott Fujita and Scott Shanle had very good seasons for us last year and will return as starters this year. We wanted to upgrade middle linebacker since Simoneau isn't the greatest against the run and may be better suited for the weakside linebacker or nickel middle linebacker position. We were able to add Edgerton Hartwell though free agency and we hope he will be able to regain his 2002-2004 form when he was one of the better young linebackers in the league. The previously mentioned Simoneau will return in a backup role. Omar Gaither came over from Philly in trade. He was a rookie last year who was able to start for the Eagles last year and will provide good depth for us. Alfred Fincher was a third round pick for us a couple years ago and will return in a backup role. Stewart Bradley was our 3rd round pick. We felt he was one of the better strongside linebackers available in the draft.

Cornerback
Asante Samuel $8,500,000
Mike McKenzie $2,000,000

Fakhir Brown $950,000
Fred Thomas $300,000
Jason Craft $300,000

Fred Thomas was possibly the biggest weakness and may have even cost the Saints a superbowl berth last season. We felt we had to upgrade this position as a result. We made Asante Samuel our #1 priority in free agency and we got him. He and Mike McKenzie will teamup to make one of the better starting corner duos in the NFC. Fakhir Brown is a former Saint we brought back. He is a young corner who has been a solid starter in the league for several seasons now. He will serve as our nickel back. We brought back veterans Fred Thomas and Jason Craft at lower salaries to add depth at the cornerback position.

Safety
Josh Bullocks $435,000
Roman Harper $360,000

Kevin Kaesviharn $1,750,000
Michael Johnson $300,000

Roman Harper was our 2nd round pick last year and was off to a great start before going down with a season ending injury. He will return as our starting strong safety. Josh Bullocks is another 2nd round pick who has been starting for us for the past two seasons. After a very good rookie season, Bullocks had a bit of a down year last year. As insurance we signed Kevin Kaesviharn to compete with Bullocks for the starting position. Kaesviharn is an excellent pass defender who had 6 interceptions last season, despite missing 2 games. Michael Johnson was one of our draft picks this year who will provide depth for us.

Kicker
John Carney $770,000

John Carney is getting up in age but still had a great season last year, converting on 23 of 25 field goals on the season. His weak spot last year was kicking off. Carney normally doesn't kickoff but the injury to punter Mitch Berger forced him into that role last season.

Punter
Mitch Berger $775,000

Mitch Berger is a former pro bowl punter who was injured last year. He will return as our punter and kickoff specialist this season.

Return Specialists
1. Reggie Bush
2. Ryan Moats
3. Devery Henderson

2007 Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers Overview

Coming off a subpar season last year and beginning the off season $18,840,250 over the salary cap things didn't look good!

Things needed to change, so in came a new hybrid defense with a quality new DT pairing of Kevin Williams and Keith Traylor giving great versatility in both the 3-4 and 4-3 fronts. The linebacking corps has received a complete overhaul with rookie Gaines Adams set to become one of the most feared pass rushers in the league. The secondary was a highly unimpressive unit and overated and overpaid players like Ike Taylor we're quickly off loaded with new blood including Sheldon Brown, Corey Webster at corner and veteran Jermaine Phillips to go along with the ever dangerous Troy Polamalu at safety.

On offense stars Ben Roethlisberger and "fast" Willie Parker return and will be protected by arguably the leagues best o-line after adding veterans Tarik Glenn and Andre Gurode to the well established right side of Faneca and Starks. The wide receiver position needed an overhaul, sadly gone is Hines Ward but replacing him is genuine deep threat Joey Galloway with solid veterans Greg Lewis and Andre Davis supported by exciting rookies Courtney Taylor and Yamon Figurs.

The Roster

Offense

QB

Roethlisberger, Ben 1,006,000.00
Frye, Charlie 435,000.00
Palko, Tyler 300,000

Star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returns to the Steeler looking to bounceback after an unfortunate series of injuries last offseason. Gone are veterans Charlie batch and Bryan Randall replaced by young signal caller Charlie Frye and Rookie Tyler Palko who the team is looking to develop.

RB
Hodgins, James 300,000.00
Parker, Willie 2,425,000.00
Davenport, Najeh 300,000.00
Wolfe, Garrett 300,000.00

"Fast" Willie remains the centerpiece of the offense and his lanes will be cleard by James "the hammer" Hodgins. Resigned free agent Najeh Davenport provides the big load for short yardage situations and is a quality back in his own right as his time at Green Bay proved. Rookie speedster Garrett Wolfe should provide some excitement largely in a 3rd down back Role

WR
Lewis, Greg 545,000.00
Galloway, Joey 1,283,000.00
Walters, Troy 300,000.00
Davis, Andre 300,000.00
Taylor, Courtney 350,000.00
Figurs, Yamon 300,000.00

With Veteran Hines Ward departed fro salary cap reasons his place at flanker is taken by Joey Galloway who will provide a downfield threat that was lacking last season. Low character rooki Santurdio Holmes has been replaced by solid veteran Greg Lewis with former Browns starter Andre Davis and Auburn rookie Courtney Taylor adding depth. The X-factor in the group is Yamon Figurs, the fastest man at the combine will provide a deep threat from the slot and a serious boost to the return game which was hampered by Holmes blunders last season.

TE
Miller, Heath 517,500.00
Fauria, Christian 300,000.00
Pudewell, Anthony 300,000.00

Starter Heath Miller returns and looks set to cement himself in the upper echelon of tight ends this season and will be backed up by former patriot Christian Fauria and rookie Anthony Pudewell

OL
Starks, Max 1,850,000.00
Booker, Ulish 285,000.00
Essex, Trai 435,000.00
Faneca, Alan 3,375,000.00
Gurode, Andre 2,200,000.00
Jean-Gilles, Max 360,000.00
Glenn, Tarik 4,500,000.00
Grubbs, Ben 450,000.00
Uperesa, Dane 300,000.00
Wrotto, Mansfield 300,000.00

Success in the nfl starts up front, without quality here no one is running and no one is passing, an off season priority was bringing back RFA Max Starks to continue on the right side with future hall of famer Alan Faneca. Jeff Harting retired in the off season and his replacement is former Cowboys star Andre Gurode. There should be an interesting camp Battle at the left guard spot between Mammoth second year man and rookie prospect Ben Grubbs and the all important left tackle spot is now in the extremely capable hands of Tarik Glenn.

Defense

DT
Williams, Kevin 2,000,000.00
Traylor, Keith 1,000,000.00
Zgonina, Jeff 300,000.00
Williams, Tony 300,000.00

Casey Hampton a stalwart for many years has unfortunately left the organisation, his 4 million salary simply couldn't be justified after a slew of injuries. He is replaced on the nose by 3 time superbowl winner Keith Traylor and joining him at DT is Kevin Williams the former Viking is as good a 3 technique tackle as there is in the game. They will be backed up by solid veterans Jeff Zgonina and former Bengal Tony Williams

DE
Smith, Aaron 3,500,000.00
Carter, Kevin 2,200,000.00
Peek, Antwan 300,000.00
Hargrove, Anthony 300,000.00

Entering the off season along with star Aaron Smith were players such as Brett Keisel and Travis Kirsche who were vastly overpaid. They have been replaced by veteran Kevin Carter, another former Ram Anthony Hargrove and a guy who looked an emerging player in Houston, Antwan Peek

LB
Farrior, James 3,000,000.00
Winborn, Jamie 600,000.00
Spragan, Donnie 300,000.00
Polley, Tommy 300,000.00
Adams, Gaines 700,000.00
Siler, Brandon 350,000.00
Brown, Chad 300,000.00

Having moved from a full time 3-4 to a Hybrid defense the massive salaries of Haggans, Foote and Porter had to go. James Farrior remains at MLB with rookie brandon Siler joining him in the middle in 3-4 fronts. Jamie Winborn mans the weakside with rookie Gaines Adams at SLB providing a real threat off the edge.

CB
Brown, Sheldon 750,000.00
Webster, Corey 390,000.00
McFadden, Bryant 435,000.00
Williams, Jimmy 600,000.00

The Arizona Cardinals

With alot of young talent, and a new stadium GM Lynchmobb wanted to keep the core of this team together, while still upgrading the team as a whole. We feel that this team is heading in the right direction, but needed new
leadership. So we went out and got a new coaching staff, and a new attitude.

Arizona Cardinals Roster

QB
Leinart,Matt QB Arizona Cardinals (360,000.00)
Lemon,Cleo QB Arizona Cardinals (1,500,000.00)
Beck,John QB Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

With young-gun Matt Leinart being the face of the franchise,we felt pretty good about the position from the start. We added two young players Cleo Lemon to back up Matt, and 5th round steal Jonh Beck, both with nice upside, and feel we made this position stronger

RB/FB
Bell,Tatum RB Arizona Cardinals (510,000.00)
Griffith,Justin FB Arizona Cardinals (1,500,000.00)
Brown,Chris RB Arizona Cardinals (1,250,000.00)
Moore,Mewelde RB Arizona Cardinals (510,000.00)
Bush,Michael RB Arizona Cardinals (450,000.00) (R)

The running game was priority number 1 from the start. We wanted to become a more balanced offense, and be able to run it to control the clock. To start I felt that Edge was a solid player, but not for his cap#,so we dealt him back to the Colts for Tatum Bell and others.Tatum will be our starter, but will share plenty of carries with FA pickup Chris Brown, and our RB of the future 2nd round pick Michael Bush (when healthy). We signed FB Justin Griffith to come and help lead the way, being he has been one of the most productive FB's in football.Last but not least,we traded for Mewelde Moore to handle 3rd downs, and PR and KR.

WR
Boldin,Anquan WR Arizona Cardinals (2,000,000.00)
Fitzgerald,Larry WR Arizona Cardinals (830,000.00)
Washington,Kelly WR Arizona Cardinals (1,300,000.00)
Stovall,Maurice WR Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
Wilson,Travis WR Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
McKnight,Rhema WR Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

With Boldin, and Fitzgerald we feel we have one of the best WR tandems in the league,if not the best.We added FA Kelly Washington to play the slot, and 2 young up and comming players in Maurice Stovall, and Travis Wilson to help give this team good depth. In the 5th round we added a nice sleeper in Rhema McKnight.

TE
Pope,Leonard TE Arizona Cardinals (360,000.00)
Bergen,Adam TE Arizona Cardinals (700,000.00)
Milner,Martrez TE Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

The TE position was a concern, but after going over some tape we feel pretty good about the progress Adam Bergen, and Leonard Pope made last year.Pope will start, but will share time with Adam.We added nice little rookie in Martrez Milner for depth via FA.

OL
Davis,Lenard T Arizona Cardinals (5,500,000.00)
Gandy,Mike G Arizona Cardinals (1,500,000.00)
Heitmann,Eric C Arizona Cardinals (1,035,000.00)
Lutui,Taitusi G Arizona Cardinals (360,000.00)
Wells,Reggie T Arizona Cardinals (1,000,000.00)
Grove,Jake C Arizona Cardinals (510,000.00)
Mathis,Evan G Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
Brown,Elton G Arizona Cardinals (435,000.00)
Butler,Rashad T Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
Young,Scott G Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)

This position was by far the worst on the team.We needed some change, and bad.We gutted the whole line with the exception of 4 players.Having Leonard Davis return with Deuce Lutui,Reggie Wells, and Elton Brown we wanted to go young and athletic. We traded for Eric Heitmann, and Jake Grove,to upgrade the center position, and we added Mike Gandy to start at LG.We added 3 young players in Evan Mathis,Scott Young, and Rashad Butler, all with good upside to mix it up abit.

DE
Berry,Bertrand DE Arizona Cardinals (4,000,000.00)
Udeze,Kenechi DE Arizona Cardinals (649,750.00)
Woodley,LaMarr DE Arizona Cardinals (450,000.00) (R)
McDonald,Ray DE Arizona Cardinals (350,000.00) (R)

With no depth from the start, aside from Bertrand Berry we felt that this was a position of need.Plus with the 3-4/4-3 defensive sets we are going to play we were looking for guys to play multiple positions in the draft. We grabbed LeMarr Woodley in the 2nd to play DE/OLB,and we took Ray McDonald in the 3rd to play DE/DT.We made a deal to bring in Kenechi Udeze to start on the other side of Berry, and feel this position has been upgraded.

DT
Dockett,Darnell DT Arizona Cardinals (510,000.00)
Bunkley,Broderick DT Arizona Cardinals (360,000.00)
Watson,Gabe DT Arizona Cardinals (360,000.00)

With stud Darnell Dockett already on board, and 2nd year player Gabe Watson in the mix we felt pretty good about this position, but we were able to pry beast Broderick Bunkley from the Eagels to start next to Dockett and give the team nice depth.

LB
Brooking,Keith LB Arizona Cardinals (4,900,000.00)
Porter,Joey LB Arizona Cardinals (4,000,000.00)
Dansby,Karlos LB Arizona Cardinals (510,000.00)
Bailey,Boss LB Arizona Cardinals (3,500,000.00)
Hayes,Gerald LB Arizona Cardinals (600,000.00)
Blackstock,Darryl LB Arizona Cardinals (435,000.00)
Simmons,Brian LB Arizona Cardinals (3,300,000.00)

With Karlos Dansby being the only true top tier LB on the team, and our plans of going to 3-4 sets we were looking to upgrade this position in a big way.To start we signed Boss Bailey in FA to come in and start at MLB.Later we were able to make a deal with the Colts to bring in All Pro's Joey Porter, and Keith Brooking to start at OLB,and MLB.We were able to bring in MLB Brian Simmons Via trade and still have hold overs Gerald Hayes and Darryl Blackstock for good depth. We feel that this is one of the best if not the best LB corp's in the league from top to bottom.

CB
Sheppard,Lito CB Arizona Cardinals (1,000,000.00)
Rolle,Antrel CB Arizona Cardinals (760,000.00)
Green,Eric CB Arizona Cardinals (435,000.00)
Finnegan,Cortland CB Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
Wade,Jonathan CB Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)
Davis,A.J CB Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

We wanted to add speed, and a shutdown corner to this position, and i belive we did just that.We traded for Lito Sheppard to be our shutdown corner and start across from Antrel Rolle. We drafted Jonathan Wade in the 4th,and A.J.Davis in the 6th to give us some of that speed we were looking for.We also brought in a promising 2nd year player in Cortland Finnegan Via FA for depth, and with having hold over Eric Green on the roster we feel pretty good about our secondary.

S
Landry,LaRon S Arizona Cardinals (650,000.00) (R)
Jackson,Marlin S Arizona Cardinals (497,000.00)
Mikell,Quintin S Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00)
Frampton,Eric S Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

This position is young, and will take its lumps, but we feel we have two stars in the making in 1st round pick LaRon Landry, and Marlin Jackson. We signed Quintin Mikell away from the Eagles for his ST play and added rookie Eric Frampton in the 6th round for depth.

K/P
Rackers,Neil K Arizona Cardinals (800,000.00)
Sepulveda,Daniel P Arizona Cardinals (300,000.00) (R)

With Neil Rackers struggles last year we thought about making a change, but decided to stay with him.We did decide to part ways with Scott Player as we felt that we could find a solid replacement in the draft, and that player was Daniel Sepulveda who we got in the 6th round with our last pick.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

The 2007 Green Bay Packers entered the off-season over the salary cap with an aging quarterback and not so stellar defense. Through numerous trades and free agent signings, the Packers were able to remake their defense and simultaneously upgrade their offense. The Packers were able to acquire pro bowl talent at Quarterback with Philip Rivers, Wide Receiver with Marvin Harrison, Defensive Tackle with Casey Hampton, Linebacker with Adalius Thomas, and Kicker with Adam Vinatieri. The Packers were also able to acquire young talent such as Julius Jones, Anthony Fasano, Jimmy Williams, and Antonie Bethea. In addition to adding top quality talent, the Packers focused this off-season on adding depth at every position. The Packers are looking forward to challenging for the Super Bowl in 2007.

Quarterback

1. Philip Rivers
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Ingle Martin

Philip Rivers is one of the brightest young quarterbacks in the NFL. In only his first season as a starting quarterback, Rivers led the Chargers to the leagues best record and found himself in the Pro Bowl. With immense talent around him, the Packers excpect Rivers to have a hall of fame career. Backup Aaron Rodgers provides good depth and could fill in if something were to happen to Rivers.

Running Back

1. Julius Jones
2. Vernand Morency (3rd Down Back)
3. TJ Duckett
4. Ron Dayne

Fullback

1. Brandon Miree

The Packers let Ahman Green walk during free agency and added Julius Jones, TJ Duckett, and Ron Dayne through trades and free agency. A 2nd round pick in 2004, Jones had his highest rushing total in 2006 despite sharing carries in Dallas. Jones will take over as the featured back in Green Bay with Vernand Morency staying on as the 3rd down back. TJ Duckett joins the Packers to get the tough yards around the goal line and in short yardage situations. Ron Dayne will provide depth at running back. Brandon Miree overtook William Henderson towards the end of last season as the Packers starting fullback, and returns to provide blocking for the new Packers running backs.

Wide Receiver

1. Marvin Harrison
2. Donald Driver
3. Nate Burleson
4. Brandon Lloyd
5. Ruvell Martin
6. Ike Hilliard
7. Chris Francies

The Packers greatly improved their wide receivers this offseason with the additions of former pro bowlers Marvin Harrison and Nate Burleson. Teaming with Pro Bowler Donald Driver, the Packers receiving core is one of the leagues best. The Packers also brought in Brandon Lloyd and Ike Hilliard to provide depth behind the starters. Lloyd will also play when the Packers go to 4 wide receivers, making it very difficult for opposing secondaries to match up. Burleson will also serve as the Packers Kick and Punt Returner this season.

Tight End

1. Anthony Fasano
2. Tony Scheffler

Both Fasano and Scheffler were 2nd round picks in 2006, and will provide the Packers with 2 viable options at tight end for years to come. The Packers feel that both Fasano and Scheffler will be future stars in the NFL and will really breakout this season.

Offensive Line

Left Tackle

1. Chad Clifton
2. Tony Moll

Left Guard

1. Daryn Colledge
2. Tony Palmer

Center

1. Scott Wells
2. Grey Ruegamer

Right Guard

1. Jason Spitz
2. Chris Liwienski

Right Tackle

1. Jeremy Bridges
2. Tony Moll
3. Ryan Harris (Rookie)

The Packers young offensive line really jelled last season in which 3 rookies played major roles. Rookies Tony Moll, Jason Spitz, and Daryn Colledge all started along the improved offensive line. Although this line does not boast many household names, they played extremely well last season, keeping Brett Favre upright and opening holes for Ahman Green. Along with Left Tackle Chad Clifton and newly acquired Jemery Bridges, the young interior lineman will continue to improve. All five starters on the Offensive Line are 30 years old or younger, and with one year together already, this group will continue to improve. The Packers also brought in veterans Grey Ruegamer and Chris Liwienski to provide depth to all offensive line positions. Rookie Ryan Harris will study under Jeremy Bridges and should be a starter in the future.

Left Defensive End

1. Aaron Kampman
2. Chris Gocong

Right Defensive End

1. Cullen Jenkins
2. Paul Spicer

Pro Bowler Aaron Kampman was second in the league with 15.5 sacks last season, and returns this season to lead the Packers defensive line. Cullen Jenkins moved from Defensive Tackle to Defensive End last season and had 6.5 sacks while in a rotation with Gbaja Biamila. With Jenkins now starting full time, he should be very dangerous with Kampman taking up most of the double teams. The Packers brought in veteran Paul Spicer and 2006 third round pick Chris Gocong to add depth to the position.

Left Defensive Tackle

1. Ryan Pickett
2. Ellis Wyms

Right Defensive Tackle

1. Casey Hampton
2. James Reed

Ryan Pickett and newly acquired Casey Hampton will lead the Packers rush defense at the defensive tackle position. Hampton has been to 3 Pro Bowls in the past four seasons while Pickett has been one of the leagues top tacklers from the Defensive Tackle position. Ellis Wyms and James Reed will provide good depth at Defensive Tackle. Along with Kampman and Jenkins on the outside, the Packers have one of the leagues most formidable defensive lines.

Outside Linebacker

1. Adalius Thomas 1. A.J. Hawk
2. Brady Pop p inga 2. Brady Pop p inga
3. Kurt Campbell 3. Kurt Campbell

Middle Linebacker

1. Nick Barnett
2. Tim Goodwell

The Packers young linebacking core got even better with the free agent signing of Adalius Thomas. Along with Pro Bowler Nick Barnett and 2006 first round pick A.J. Hawk, the Packers linebacking core will be very hard to handle in 2007. Brady Pop p inga started for most of the 2006 season and will provide a depth on the outside for the Packers.

Cornerback

1. Al Harris 1. Jimmy Williams
2. Curtis Deloatch 2. David Irons (Rookie)
3. David Pittman

Pro Bowler Al Harris leads a revamped Packers secondary. The Packers were able to trade for Jimmy Williams, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons, and also brought in veteran Curtis Delotach, rookie David Irons, and second year player David Pittman. The Packers feel that with one season under his belt, Williams will be able to step in across from Harris as the Packers starting cornerback. Curtis Deloatch will serve as the Packers nickle cornerback and Auburn rookie David Irons will play in the Dime Package.

Safety

1. Antoine Bethea 1. Marquand Manuel
2. Chad Williams 2. Lawyer Milloy
3. Atari Bigby

Antoine Bethea and Marquand Manuel will form the Packers starting safety duo this season. Antoine Bethea was a great surprise as a rookie, starting all 18 games (including playoffs) that he played in for the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts. Bethea racked up an impressive 90 tackles on the regular season, and saved his best for the playoffs, intercepting 2 passes. The Packers feel that Bethea will continue to develop into one of the leagues best young safeties. Along with Maquand Manuel, who added 81 tackles for the Packers in 2006, the safety position has been upgraded this off season. Veterans Lawyer Milloy and Chad Williams were brought in and could step into the starting lineup if someone was injured.

Kicker

Adam Vinatieri

Punter

Hunter Smith

Kick/Punt Returner

Nate Burleson

The Packers were determined to upgrade their special teams this season, and have succeeded in doing this. The Packers brought in future hall of fame Kicker Adam Vinatieri to stabilize the Kicker position. The Packers feel that Vinatieri could be the difference in making a Super Bowl run this season. Kick and Punt returner Nate Burleson has been to the Pro Bowl in the past, and is an excellent returner.

2007 TENNESSEE TITANS
The 2006 season ended with promise. The Titans, lead by Rookie of the Year Vince Young, won 6 of their last 7 to finish 8-8. 17 out of 22 starters return to the team, though 5 of those starters now serve in backup roles to superior talent. Turds have been jettisoned. Albert Haynesworth and Pacman Jones were sent packing via trade. The Titans are clearly a team on the rise, and with the additions made this offseason, expectations are high in Tennessee.

Quarterback

Vince
Young - $840,000
Trent Dilfer - $450,000
FREE AGENT
Luke McCown - $300,000 FREE AGENT

Vince Young had a typical rookie year in the air, 51% 12 TD's 13 INT's 2,100yds. But, it was with his feet that he was anything but typical, gaining 552 yards and scoring 7 TD's when leaving the pocket.
Trent Dilfer will be a steady veteran presence in the number 2 position, he will be instrumental in the further development of Vince.
Luke McCown is a luxury to have at the 3rd QB spot. He is young, and could be a starter elsewhere in this league.

Dominic Rhodes brings his versatility and veteran leadership to a stacked group of youngsters.
LenDale White is currently in the doghouse. Either he steps up this year, or the Titans won't miss a beat by handing over his carries to the other capable backs.

Kyle Vanden Bosch - $3,640,000

New starters Macklin and Fisher will provide solid coverage on the outside. 2006 starter, the other Reynaldo Hill, will serve as the team's nickelback. Hughes, Thomas, and Bauman are talented players who will contribute to the dime packages and special teams.

2007-2008 Miami Dolphins...

After a disapointing 6-10 season, the Miami Dolphins returned to the same problems as the year before. The Miami Dolphins worked hard on keeping their key players such as Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Chris Chambers, and Ronnie Brown. They added many great players this year through trade, free agency, and the draft. Holes were filled and strengths became stronger for the Miami Dolphins. Give it up for your 2007-2008 Miami Dolphins!

Offense

Quarterback
1. Daunte Culpepper (5.5 mil)
2. Brady Quinn [rookie] (.7 mil)
3. Bruce Gradkowski (.36 mil)

The quarterback position vastly improved, after trading Joey Harrington, Miami sought for another quarterback to take his role. Miami traded for the promising Bruce Gradkowski. Bruce played very well in Tampa Bay as a rookie and Miami brought him in as a third string quarterback. Miami's first round draft pick, Brady Quinn, was brought in to take over the quarterback position when ready. With Daunte Culpepper leading the team as their starter, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see the intelligent and hard working Quinn knock off Culpepper from his number one spot. Quinn will be a great quarterback in Miami for years to come, thus filling the huge void that Miami had at quarterback since Dan Marino left.

Halfback
1. Ronnie Brown (.984133 mil)

2. Michael Bennett (.5 mil)
3. Travis Minor (.3 mil)

Ronnie Brown returns to the Miami Dolphins in 2007 as one of the promising running backs in the league. Ronnie gained over 1,000 yards in 2006 while starting in 13 games, Ronnie hopes to top that in 2007. Michael Bennett comes to the Dolphins as a back up and a change of pace back. After Ronnie pounds the ball in there for a few carries, don't be surprised for Bennett to come in and burn one to the outside. With Bennett, Miami can keep the defense on their toes at any given moment. Travis Minor returns to the team as a key special teams contributor and third string running back.

Fullback
1. Darian Barnes (.3 mil)
2. Alvin Pearman (.3 mil)

The fullback position hasn't changed this year as Darian Barnes returns to the team after beating out Fred Beasley last year for the fullback position. Barnes will provide the blocking for Brown and will be a reason why the running game will succeed in 2007.

Wide Receiver
1. Chris Chambers (5.4 mil)
2. Reggie Brown (.449625 mil)
3. Kevin Curtis (2.9 mil)
4. Jason Hill [rookie] (.4 mil)
5. Malcom Floyd (.3 mil)

Miami needed to revamp their wide receivers as they were either too old or just not working out for them. Wes Welker tested the free agency market as Miami felt it was best they go their separate ways. With Pro Bowler Chris Chambers returning to the line up, he looks to return to 2005 form as he'll be used as the slot receiver in 3 receiver sets. Reggie Brown (46 rec, 816 yd, 8 td) comes into the Miami roster as their 2nd receiver, after a great season in Philadelphia, Brown hopes to become Miami's main possession receiver. Kevin Curtis (40 rec, 479 yd, 4 td) was added for his speed and intelligence, he'll be a valuable asset to spread the field and make sure the defense doesn't stay focused on Chambers. Jason Hill was brought in in the 2nd round to round out the corp as Malcom Floyd was signed to a contract. Floyd is one of the tallest receivers in the league and will be a huge asset in red zone opportunities with his 6'5" frame.

Tight End
1. Dallas Clark (.565 mil)
2. Scott Chandler [rookie] (.3 mil)
3. Jason Radar (.36 mil)

Former Miami tight end, Randy McMichael has been nothing but trouble, so they sent him away and brought in Dallas Clark. Clark (367 yd and 4 td in 12 games) was a key factor to the Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl run last year. Scott Chandler was added in the draft this year, as this 6'7" tight end can be used in double end sets and goalline opportunities. Jason Radar rounds out the tight ends for the Miami Dolphins.

Right Tackle
1. Vernon Carey (.655 mil)
2. Anthony Alabi (.435 mil)

Right Guard
1. John Welbourn (1.7 mil)
2. Joe Toledo (.285 mil)

Center
1. Rex Hadnot (.51 mil)
2. Chucky Okobi (.3 mil)

Left Guard
1. Adam Timmerman (.6 mil)
2. Marshall Yanda [rookie] (.35 mil)

Left Tackle
1. Marvil Smith (4.2 mil)
2. Doug Free [rookie] (.3 mil)

The offensive line were definetly considered as one of Miami's biggest concerns last year. Miami brought in their future left tackle in Marvil Smith through a trade this year, as well as a valuable back up in Doug Free. With their left guard contreversy figured out for the present and the future, Adam Timmerman looks to hold the spot for a few years until rookie Marshall Yanda will take over. Rex Hadnot returns to the center position as Miami added depth in that position in Chucky Okobi, who could start on many teams in the NFL. John Welbourn replaces LJ Shelton in the right guard position, Welbuorn was a back up for the Chiefs, who had one of the top lines in many years. Many scouts and coaches considered Welbourn a starter on nearly all teams, but he was behind one of the top guards in the NFL, Brian Waters. Vernon Carey returns to the team at the right guard position as Alabi and Toledo make their returns at their respect positions as well. The Miami Dolphins' offensive line is a vastly improved unit, which kept chemistry by retaining their major contributors in Carey and Hadnot, released headcases in Shelton and James, and brought in lineman that will give Culpepper or Quinn plenty of time to throw the ball.

Defense

Right End
1. Jason Taylor (ROLB in 3-4) (7 mil)
2. Xzavie Jackson [rookie] (.3 mil)

Left End
1. Matt Roth (.41 mil)
2. Kenyon Coleman (.3 mil)

Defensive Player of the Year Jason Taylor returns to the team this year in hopes of another All Pro caliber season. Taylor will also be featured as an outside linebacker in the team's hybrid 3-4 defense. Matt Roth anchors the left side of the line as his motor will keep the Dolphins defense churning. Coleman was brought in via free agency to back up the young Roth as Jason Taylor was given a rookie in Xzavie Jackson to groom for the future.

Defensive Tackle
1. Amobi Okoye [rookie] (.6 mil)
2. Larry Tripplett (RE in 3-4) (1.6 mil)
3. Kendrick Clancy (.75 mil)
4. Rodrique Wright (.36 mil)

With many defensive tackles from Miami testing free agency, Miami had to go in search of some tackles that'll continue to anchor the strong front seven Miami has possessed for many years. Amobi Okoye was drafted in the first round to top off the tackle spot and with his young age, Miami hopes to put him on a proper diet and training routine that'll make him a top nose tackle in the league. Larry Tripplett will take the number two spot on the defensive tackles as well as taking the role of right end in the team's hybrid 3-4 defense. Kendrick Clancy was brought in as a nose tackle to fill the void if Okoye cannot seem to handle it. Rodrique Wright returns to the team in hopes to making an impact for the team.

Left Outside Linebacker
1. Michael Boley (.435 mil)
2. Jamie Sharper (1.3 mil)
3. Chad Nkang [rookie] (.3 mil)

Middle Linebacker
1. Zach Thomas (5.65 mil)
2. Isiah Kacyvenski (.3 mil)

Right Outside Linebacker
1. Channing Crowder (MLB in 3-4) (.435 mil)
2. Shantee Orr (.3 mil)
3. Chad Nkang [rookie] (.3 mil)

With Zach Thomas leading the league in tackles last year with over 160, he returns as the defensive leader of the linebacker core. Channing Crowder returns to the team as he will be paired up with one of the youngest and more talented duos at outside linebacker with Michael Boley. Boley was a starter at Atlanta (85 tk, 3 sk, 1 ff, 2 int) who proved his worth last year. Pro Bowler Jamie Sharper was brought in to back up the outside linebackers as the solid Shantee Orr also comes in as a back up. The team drafted Chad Nkang in the 7th round in hopes of finding a gem. Isiah Kacyvenksi will back up Thomas this year to round out the position.

Cornerback
1. Jason Allen (.66 mil)
2. Ellis Hobbs (.435 mil)
3. Philip Buchanon (1.5 mil)
4. Tarrell Brown [rookie] (.3 mil)
5. Keiwan Ratliff (.7 mil)

The cornerback position was one of Miami's consistent performers but they could never make turnovers. Former 1st round pick for the Dolphins switched from safety to cornerback and will be the team's number one corner, as Ellis Hobbs is brought in to take Will Allen's role. Hobbs played next to Asante Samuel during his two year career and made 88 tackles and 5 interceptions during that span. Buchanon will take over at the nickle position and rookie Tarrell Brown was drafted to play as a dime corner. Although Brown was brought down in the draft with his off field concerns, but the Miami front office felt that Brown's case was more of a misunderstanding than any reason to consider him a bad influence. Former Bengal (who did manage to stay out of trouble), Keiwan Ratliff, was brought in as the teams final corner.

Free Safety
1. Terrence Holt (.7 mil)
2. Glenn Earl (.3 mil)

Strong Safety
1. Yeremiah Bell (1.3 mil)
2. Omar Stoutmire (.3 mil)

Yeremiah Bell returns to the Miami Dolphins as strong safety as Terrence Holt was brought in via free agency, which allowed Jason Allen to move to corner. Bell and Holt were both consistent performers and will succeed with the team's powerful front seven. Glenn Earl and Omar Stoutmire provide much needed depth to the safety position.

Special Teams

Kicker
1. Josh Scobee (.8 mil)

Punter
1. Donnie Jones (.7 mil)

Long Snapper
1. Justin Snow (.3 mil)

Kick Return
1. Ellis Hobbs
2. Jason Hill [rookie]
3. Philip Buchanon

Punt Return
1. Ellis Hobbs
2. Jason Hill [rookie]
3. Philip Buchanon

The special teams comes back stronger than ever as Miami released Olindo Mare and brought in rising star Josh Scobee. Scobee was a consistant kicker who will still provide the leg to bring touchbacks on kickoffs. Donnie Jones comes back as one the best punters in the league at pinpointing the ball inside the 10 yardline. Justin Snow will snap the balls back as he did in Indianapolis for many years as Hobbs and Hill will line up for the kick and punt return team.

Tampa Bay Final Roster:

QuarterBacks
1) Steve Mcnair (3,000,000)
2) Drew Bledsoe (300,000)
3) Eugene Bruce (285,000)

I know Bledsoe retired, but he was aquired far before he did and that puts us in a hole at this position. However we feel that with the veteran leadership of Mcnair and our running game we still have this position filled well enough to compete.

Runningbacks:
1) Shaun Alexander (1,4000,000)
2) Samkon Gado (300,000)
3) Lionel Gates (360,000)

The one two punch of Alexander and Gado is second to none in my opinion. Should either get injured the other can carry the load on his own, and while both are healthy they take the burdon off of eachother.

Fullback:
Obafemi Ayanbadejo (300,000)

Not a top tier guy but a guy who can block some and contribute on special teams.

Wide Receiver:
1) Hines Ward (3,585,000)
2) Keyshawn Johnson (1,000,000)
3) Troy Williamson (435,000)
4) Troy Brown (300,000)
5) Michael Lewis (900,000)
6) Skyler Green (360,000)

This is probably our deepest position. Guys one through five have a chance to play and contribute and Skyler is a guy who has a chance to develope. Ward and Keyshawn and proven vets and Williamson is a guy whose skill we hope to max out by putting him in the slot. Lewis has the speed to make plays and Brown is a crafty vet.

Tight End:
1) Anthony Becht (780,000)
2) Doug Jolley (545,000)
3) T.J Williams (285,000)

At tight end I just tried to get some players that weren't flashy but could get the job done. Becht has proven himself to be that type of guy and I feel very good about Jolley backing him up.

Left Tackle:
1) Winston Justice (360,000)
2) Todd Steussie (300,000)

Justice is a guy who is going to develope into a great player while Steussie is a proven vet who can come in to play if Justice were to fail.

Left Guard:
1) Cosey Coleman (300,000)
2) Jordan Black (300,000)

Two guys who could start for nearly any team. I was very lucky to have aquired both.

Center:
1) Seth Mckinney (1,000,000)
2) Alex Stepanovich (300,000)

Again two guys that have started in this league before. While neither is a superstar they bring leadership to the line.

Right Guard:
1) Marco Rivera (2,000,000)
2) Dennis Roland (285,000)

Rivera is a proven vet who has played well every stop he has made. He brings intensity and leadership to our line.

Right Tackle:
1) Todd Wade
2) Anthony Davis

Both guys have been starters in the past and could start for a lot of teams. Neither is a top notch RT but either could get the job done.

Left Defensive End:
1) Michael Strahan (4,000,000)
2) Raheem Brock (2,034,000)

Strahan may have been injured last year but over his career he has been on of the best defensive ends in the game. Backing him up is Raheem Brock, who also is a solid player who could come in and start if Strahan were to be injured.

Right Defensive End:
1) Gregory Spires (300,000)
2) Tyler Brayton (720,000)
3) Julian Jenkins (360,000)

Spires and Brayton are both quality players who can rack up some sacks and play the run well. As a whole all our ends could play either the RE or LE spot, giving us a great rotation of guys.

Defensive Tackle:
1) John Thorton (3,250,000)
2) Marcus Tubbs (655,000)
3) Paul Soliai (300,000)
4) Jon Bradley (510,000)

We really feel we are four deep at DT. Three of these guys have been contributers for teams in the past and Soliai is a hot prospect who we expect to develope into a great player.

Weak Side Linebacker:
1) Derrik Brooks (3,000,000)
2) Evan Benjamin (285,000)

Brooks has been a pro bowl player nearly his entire career and is a true game changer on defense. I feel more than confident heading into a season with him.

Middle Linebacker:
1) Randal Godfrey (300,000)
2) Odell Thurman (435,000)
3) Darnell Bing (360,000)

Godfrey is a smart vet who can still make plays, and Thurman is an up and coming young LB. While he had to sit out all of last season he has an amazing rookie year and we expect him to continue to develope.

Strong Side Linebacker:
1) Takeo Spikes (4,500,000)
2) David Pollack (535,000)
3) Antoine Cash (435,000)

Takeo is coming off an injury plagued year but is still a dominate linebacker when healthy. Pollack has also struggled with injury in his young career but could prove to be a great starter someday, and for a now a worthy backup.

Corners:
1) Ike Taylor (3,325,000)
2) Sam Madison (1,170,000)
3) Andre Goodman (1,000,000)
4) Ronnie Prude (300,000)
5) Juran Boldin (871,000)

Another position we feel five deep at. All five guys can cover the best of them. Their names say enough.

Free Safety:
1) Dexter Jackson (1,000,000)

We are short at FS, but if needed we feel like a couple of our corners could play FS as well as either Bing or our backup SS.

Strong Safety:
1) Will Allen (510,000)
2) Tra Boger (285,000)

Allen is a good young player who should continue to develope into a star. Boger is a solid depth player and someone who can contribute on special teams.

Kicker:
Joe Nedney (300,000)

Punter:
Josh Bidwell (200,000)

As a whole this team is built to win now, but also has some young depth to contribute in the future. With our solid receivers, running game, and veteran leadership at QB we expect to have a very potent offense. Especially with the solid line we feel we have built. On defense we feel our line is very capable, our linebackers are second to none, and our secondary is deep and has the skill to shut teams down. Overall as a team I believe we have a few holes, but they can easily be overcome by our overall talent and leadership.

2007 Denver Broncos

2007 Denver Broncos

This team was a definite contender in 2006 and the real Broncos have had an off-season so far that makes them the early super bowl frontrunners. I feel I’ve improved this team even more, and was able to turn what was an early salary cap disaster into a SB contending roster. We were also able to keep some key contributors that the real Broncos couldn’t make room for. I’m now presenting to you, the 2007 Denver Broncos.

Quarterback
1. Cutler, Jay 360,000.00
2. Wright, Anthony 300,000.00
3. Hackney, Darrell 285,000.00
Jay Cutler is the clear future and face of this franchise and that sort of pressure would break most young QB’s. Fortunately the caliber of team he has around him allows him to grow into his role as a leader and ease his transition from the SEC basement to NFL glory. Anthony Wright is a veteran backup with starting experience as an insurance policy and Darrell Hackney is being developed as Cutlers future backup and hopefully a solid piece of trade bait in the future.

Runningback
1. Henry, Travis 708,000.00
2. Williams, Ricky 360,000.00
3. Pittman, Antonio 350,000.00 (rookie)
4. Zack Crockett 300,000.00
5. Cobbs, Cedric 435,000.00
RB is a position where the Broncos have had magnificent success over the years with a variety of different running backs, but to turn this into a truly great team a truly great squad of backs is necessary. A top 10 rusher last year, Travis Henry is going to get the bulk of the carries in this backfield. Former rushing champion and Heisman winner Ricky Williams takes the number two spot and should benefit greatly from his limited role on the team as well as the Broncos vaunted offensive line. OSU rookie Antonio Pittman was a steal in the draft, and is going to be eased into his role on the team. He is a dynamic player which we expect big things from in the future. Veteran fullback Zach Crockett adds leadership and toughness to the position and should be an asset whenever his number is called.

Tight End
1. Troupe, Ben 510,000.00
2. Jackson, Nate 500,000.00
3. Mustard, Chad 510,000.00
Former 2nd round TE Ben Troupe is bringing his sky high potential to Denver to become Jay’s safety blanket and great option from the end of the line. Hold over Nate Jackson and Chad Mustard bring experience and production in this offense to the team and provide more than quality depth.

Wide Receiver
1. Smith, Rod 1,500,000.00
2. Walker, Javon 600,000.00
3. Marshall, Brandon 360,000.00
4. Jones, Brandon 435,000.00
5. McNeil, Reggie 300,000.00
Rod Smith is making his final Super Bowl push on the team that has made him famous, but he doesn’t have to go at it alone. Star Javon Walker looks to have another great year, and extremely promising sophomore Brandon Marshall is being groomed to take the starting spot from Smith when he decides to hang it up. Rounding out the squad is the talented Brandon Jones and intriguing Reggie McNeil, whose interesting skill set will be utilized by Coach Shanahan in any way possible.

Offensive Tackle
1. Foster, George 735,000.00
2. Meadows, Adam 1,000,000.00
3. McAlmont, Kevin 285,000.00
4. Rogers, Jacob 360,000.00
Offensive Guard
1. Lepsis, Matt 3,150,000.00
2. Hamilton, Ben 2,750,000.00
3. Eslinger, Greg 360,000.00
4. Kuper, Chris 360,000.
Center
1. Nalen, Tom 1,450,000.00
2. Myers, Chris 435,000.00
The offensive line is comprised of holdovers from last year without any major subtractions, and production is expected to remain consistent. This is a solid group with quality depth across the board, and who’s continued success is critical for this teams future.

Defensive End
1. Lang, Kenard 2,000,000.00
2. Ekuban, Ebenezer 2,210,000.00
3. Dumervil, Elvis 360,000.00
4. Brown, Courtney 900,000.00
5. Hall, Carlos 595,000.00
Lang and Ekuban are starting for a defense that they thrived in last year. Sophomore Elvis Dumervil is looking to improve on his double digit freshman sack campaign and should offer a great 3rd option in the rotation. Former number 1 overall was kept as a luxury, and if he can stay healthy with limited reps he should be able to display number 1 talent in the rotation.

Defensive Tackle
1. Warren, Gerard 595,000.00
2. Veal, Demetrin 650,000.00
3. Evans, Fred 1,000,000.00
4. Burton, Antwon 360,000.00
This defensive line returns the same consistent performers as last year, with the addition of very promising youngster Fred Evans, who looks to get significant time in the rotation while being groomed for a future starting spot.

Outside Linebacker
1. Williams, D.J. 650,000.00
2. Gold, Ian 2,300,000.00
3. Hollowell, T.J. 435,000.00
4. Moore, Eddie 435,000.00
DJ and Ian are one of if not THE most dangerous duo of OLB’s in the league. Hollowell is a consistent special team performer and Eddie Moore’s speed is perfect for this defense.

Middle Linebacker
1. Wilson, Al 5,200,000.00
2. Webster, Nate 770,000.00
3. Vaughn, Cameron 285,000.00
We were able to retain Al Wilson as our starting outside linebacker, as his performance and leadership are valued far more than the cap relief that would come from a release or trade. Nate Webster has been a solid performer in his tenure with the Broncos and looks to be Wilson’s insurance policy and heir.

Cornerback
1. Bailey, Roland 720,000.00
2. Rolle, Samari 3,000,000.00
3. Paymah, Karl 435,000.00
4. Cox, Curome 435,000.00
5.Hill, Eric 285,000.00
One of the biggest moves of this off-season was acquiring extremely talented CB Samari Rolle to team up with the NFL’s best Champ Bailey. This duo is fearsome, and quality depth that has been in the system will be backing them up.

Safety
1. Sanders, Bob 510,000.00
2. Lynch, John 1,500,000.00
3. Schweigert, Stewart 540,000.00
4. Harris, Quentin 595,000.00
5. Abdullah, Hamza 435,000.00
Newcomer and one of the most feared safeties in the NFL Bob Sanders is taking his spot in the Broncos defensive backfield. Veteran John Lynch remains as a leader and the brains of the defense. Since Lynches days are numbered, standout Stewart Schweigert was acquired to learn and one day inherent Lynches spot on the team, as well as see significant playing time in the teams nickel and dime formations.

Kickers
1. Elam, Jason 2,245,000.00
2. Ernster, Paul 310,000.00
One of the most celebrated kickers of our day remains to be a consistent source of XP and FG’s from the position. Paul Ernster hopes to remain consistent and relish his role as the Broncos punter.

Oakland Raider 2007 Roster

RAIDER NATION FINAL ROSTER 2007

After a Dismal showing last year, there was much room for improvement. A few key areas that stood out were

OFFENSE
  • Offensive Line
  • Quarterback
  • Tight End
DEFENSE
  • Youth on the line
  • Depth everywhere
Another glaring issue was serious cap space being taken by underachieving Mal-contents. So these things being considered, the end result is:

OFFENSE:

QUARTERBACK
Trent Green (Trade)
Jeff Garcia (Free Agent)
Andrew Walter (Holdover)

ADDITIONS:
Trent Green
Jeff Garcia

Although projected starter is Trent Green, we also aquired Jeff Garcia and brought him back to the bay area where he has a chance to regain his pro bowl status. Garcia has also proven to be a very nice man to come off the bench as he did last year in Philadelphia
Andrew Walter was promising last year as a rookie, and if called upon should have a much better chance behind a much improved O-line

SUBTRACTIONS:
Aaron Brooks

RUNNING BACK:
Lamont Jordan (Holdover)
Warrick Dunn (Trade)
Dejaun Green (Holdover)
Justin Fargas (Holdover)
Marcell Shipp (Free Agent)

ADDITIONS:
Warrick Dunn
Marcell Shipp

Warrick Dunn brings an entirely different set of conditions that Defenses will have to defend. He has shined every year in Atlanta, and he will be the perfect "Change of Pace" back for LaMont Jordan.
Marcell Shipp comes to us from Arizona. Before the disasterous trade Arizona made for Edge, Shipp showed that although not an every down back, he can break it open every down he touches the ball. He has also excelled at Special Teams.

SUBTRACTIONS:
None notable

FULL BACK:
Jim Finn (Free Agent)

Going into Free Agency, there were 2 fullbacks we coveted, Finn was the top one. Finn is regarded as one of the absolute best blocking backs in the league-bar none. He has great field savvy and is a great locker-room presence. Both LaMont Jordan and Warrick Dunn should prosper with this pickup

SUBTRACTIONS:
Zack Crockett

WIDE RECIEVER:
Ronald Curry (Hold Over)
Eric Moulds (Free Agent)
Hank Baskett II (Trade)
Calvin Jackson (Draft)
Dennis Northcutt (Free Agent)
Kevin Kasper (Free Agent)

ADDITIONS:
Eric Moulds
Calvin Jackson
Hank Baskett II
Dennis Northcutt
Keven Kasper

One of the first moves was to trade Randy Moss, who didnt have much success in the Bay Area. We are very happy to pick up Eric Moulds who is ready to prove that he can return to Pro Bowl and All-world Calibur Player. Speaking of All-World, when the draft started, there was absolutely zero doubt that Calvin Jackson was the man we needed. He is going to be a true monster in this league for some time to come. Following Garcia from Philly is one of his favorite targets from 2006. Hank Baskett came in and did very admirable, and flew pretty much under the radar. Very solid pickup. Dennis Northcutt and Kevin Kasper add depth and dependability to a MUCH improved wide reciever corps...

SUBTRACTIONS:
Randy Moss
Jerry Porter

TIGHT END
Bubba Franks (Trade)
Randal Williams (Holdover)
Justin Peele (Free Agent)

ADDITIONS:
Bubba Franks
Justen Peele

Huge upgrade here. We have picked up one of the most durable and dependable quality tight ends in the league. We have also kept last years starter Randal Williams, and he should prosper in his new role. Justin Peele should also bolster the position

SUBTRACTIONS:
None notable

OFFENSIVE TACKLE:
Robert Gallary (Holdover)
Jon Runyan (Trade)
Langston Walker (Holdover)

ADDITIONS:
Jon Runyan

We knew that we needed some veteran leadership at Tackle and we found him. Runyan is a repeat Pro-bowler and never misses a down. He brings the tough attitude it takes to RUN THE BALL. Robert Gallery will continue to improve at the Left Tackle position and should do better with the supporting cast he has. Langston Walker has proven that he can start on just about any team in the NFL and can play both starting spots.

SUBTRACTIONS:
Adam Treu

OFFENSIVE GUARD:
Derrick Dockery (Free Agent)
Chris Villirial (Trade)
Roby Tobeck (Free Agent)
Tala Esera (Draft)

ADDITIONS:
Derrick Dockery
Chris Villirial
Roby Tobeck

We have completely revamped the interior of the O-line and were VERY luck to be able to bring in a couple of guys like Dockery and Villirial. This is a HUGE upgrade and should insure serious precense. Roby Tobeck was brought in to add depth to both the O-Guard and Center position. Once again, a veteran-quality guy. Tala Esra was a VERY nice pickup in the 5th round. He brings some youth and depth to the guard position

SUBTRACTIONS:
Barry Simms

CENTER:
Andy McCullom (Free Agent)
Roby Tobek (Free Agent)

ADDITIONS:
Andy McCullom
Roby Tobek

We have taken a struggling rookie and replaced him with a very Talented and savvy veteren in McCullom. Irony here is I sent several PM's trying to trade for McCullom. I was very happy to see him as a Free Agent. Roby Tobek is a very nice pickup and is asolid backup.

Antajj Hawthorne (Holdover)
Jason Fisk (Free Agent)

ADDITIONS:
Chris Hovan
Montae Raegor

We are very excited about these transactions. Two VERY solid ProBowl Calibur players will let Warren Sapp become a situational player. In his years, that is a superior position for him to be in. Jason Fisk and Antajj Hawthorne will add very solid depth.

DEFENSIVE END
Derrick Burgess (Holdover)
Lance Johnstone (Holdover)
Chiki Okeafor (Free Agent)
Sam Williamson (Holdover)

ADDITIONS:
Chiki Okeafor

We are excited to add this Okeafor and have instantly upgraded our Dline by doing so. Johnstone will give up his starting roll, but will be able to spell both Chiki and All-Pro Burgess.

SAFETY
Michael Huff (Holdover)
Tank Williams (Free Agent)
Jay Bellamy (Free Agent)
Aaron Rouse (Draft)

ADDITIONS:
Tank Williams
Jay Bellamy
Aaron Rouse

We wanted to add some experience and athleticism to surround already solid Michael Huff. Tank Williams is a nice upgrade, and Jay Bellamy can play either Safety position. Aaron Rouse is a tweener Safety-OLB that hits as hard as anybody, and will be a special teams standout.

SUBTRACTIONS:
Darnell Bing

Fabian Washington (Holdover)
Tyrone Poole (Holdover)
Stanford Routt (Holdover)
Dexter McCleon (Free Agent)

The Minnesota Vikings came into the offseason with a serious lack of talent at the skill positions on offense. Despite one of the best run defenses in history, the win column remained paltry due to a complete lack of punch on offense and a sketchy pass defense. With the addition of offensive stars such as Reggie Wayne and Eli Manning, the scoring should pick up a little. The return of Erasmus James and the addition of Cory Redding should generate the pass rush needed to improve the pass defense.

QB
Manning, Eli 1177000.00
Brad Johnson 300000.00
Jared Zabransky 300000.00

While Eli Manning has been somewhat inconsistent in his brief career in the NFL, he has shown flashes of being an elite signal caller. We're hoping that outside of the bright lights of New York, he can thrive in a smaller market, much like his dad and brother did. Brad Johnson provides solid veteran leadership while Jared Zabransky is a talented young athlete who we hope to develop into a solid number two when Brad has retired.

RB
Richardson, Tony 820000.00
Taylor, Chester 2400000.00
Pinner, Artose 850000.00
Thomas Tapeh 300000.00
JJ Arrington 300000.00

Chester Taylor proved to be a more than capable starting running back last year, rushing for over 1200 yards and 6 TD despite facing stacked boxes regularly. Hopefully we can open things up for him a little this year and get him into the pro bowl. Tony Richardson returns as his lead blocker and looks to rebound from a so so year. JJ Arrington will provide a change of pace from Taylor while Tapeh can fill in at either HB or FB. Pinner will be the primary halfback in the event of an injury to Taylor.

WR
Wayne, Reggie 3000000.00
Johnson, Bryant 751250.00

Engram, Bobby 300000.00
Parker, Samie 300000.00
Breaston, Steve 300000.00

The Vikings receiving corps was probably the least talented group in the league last year. We feel that we've doen a lot to improve that. Reggie Wayne is one of the top 5 WR's in the league, and Bryant Johnson caught for over 700 yards last year as a backup. We have the utmost confidence that this former first rounder will have a breakout year as a starter. Rugged veteran Bobby Engram will come out of the slot, while regular NFL starter Samie Parker will provide solid depth. Steve Breaston is a developmental project who will likely figure into the return game.

TE
Wiggins, Jermaine 1050000.00
Kleinsasser, Jim 300000.00
Newton, Joe 300000.00

This group is a solid, if not spectacular group. Wiggins showed a couple years ago that he can be a legit NFL starter. Kleinsasser is practically like having another tackle at TE, FB, or H-Back, and Newton is the future of the position in MN.

OL
Birk, Matt 4630000.00
Hutchinson, Steve 2035000.00
Johnson, Marcus 435000.00
McKinnie, Bryant 850000.00
Setterstrom, Mark 360000.00
Rosenthal, Mike 300000.00
Salaam, Ephraim 300000.00
Whittle, Jason 300000.00
Stephenson, Scott 300000.00
Kosier, Kyle 300000.00

On Paper, this group should have been much better than it was last year. From LT to center they're as good as any unit in the league. We added U of Minnesota standout Mark Setterstrom to start at RG. Setterstrom started the entire second half of the season last year for the Rams and showed flashes of being a terrific offensive lineman. Marcus Johnson gets one more crack at RT with vets Ephraim Salaam and Mike Rosenthal challenging for the position. Versatile veterans Ephraim Salaam and Kyle Kosier and rookie C Scott Stephenson round out the unit.

DT
Simon, Corey 3955000.00
Williams, Pat 2650000.00

Edwards, Ron 300000.00
Spencer Johnson 300000.00

Hated to deal Kevin Williams, but the opportunity to improve on offense was too much to pass up. Pat Williams is one of the top run stuffers in the league, and despite injury problems, Corey Simon still has the talent to be an elite DT. Pass rushing veteran Ron Edwards provides depth, although DE Corey Redding would most likely be moved inside to DT in the event of an injury.

DE
Redding, Cory 4600000.00
James, Erasmus 387500.00

Scott, Darrion 850000.00
Edwards, Ray 360000.00
Odom, Antwan 300000.00
Crowder, Tim 450000.00

In a perfect world, we would have liked to add a veteran 10 sack DE so that we could move Redding inside to DT. That didn't happen, but we're hoping that Redding can translate his success on the inside of the Lions line last year to the outside. Erasmus James, if he can stay healthy, has the talent and potential to be one of the top pass rushers in the league. If he doesn't stay healthy, rookie Tim Crowder and young prospects such as Ray Edwards and Antwan Odom will be given every chance to step up. In the event that they don't, we still have a solid if not flashy option in 2 year starter Darrion Scott.

LB
Greenway, Chad 360000.00
Antonio Pierce 3,250,000.00
Henderson, E.J. 1000000.00
Leber, Ben 865000.00
Thomas, Dontarrious 510000.00
Torbor, Reggie 300000.00

Playmaking at the LB position has been seriously lacking in recent years. That will change this year. Last year's first round pick and blue chip prospect Chad Greenway returns this year to start at strongside linebacker. At Mike, we have Antonio Pierce, a pro bowl performer last year. Finally, EJ Henderson returns after developing into one of the top weakside linebackers in the league last year. Veteran Ben Leber will be the primary back up at Mike and Sam, while Dontarrious Thomas will fill in at Will. Torbor will be the third option at both positions.

CB
Winfield, Antoine 4900000.00
Griffin, Cedric 360000.00
Gordon, Charles 360000.00
Whitaker, Ronyell 435000.00
Wilson, Josh 350000.00

Top 5 corner Antoine Winfield will team up with second year standout Cedric Griffin in the starting lineup this year. Griffin showed flashes of brilliance down the stretch last year, and rounds out a tough, hard nosed starting tandem at the position. Rookie Josh Wilson is penciled in as the nickle back and primary backup and will likely be in the mix at PR and KR. Gordon and Whitaker return to provide solid depth at the position.

S
Sharper, Darren 2900000.00
Smith, Dwight 1600000.00

Blue, Greg 360000.00
Ferguson, Nick 300000.00

The starting tandem is getting up there in age, but Sharper and Smith still have what it takes to make plays in this league. Smith will lineup at FS and Sharper will once again be the starter at SS. That is unless second year player Greg Blue, who has shown promise, is able to beat out Smith, in which case Sharper will return to his more natural position of FS. Veteran Nick Ferguson provides depth at the position.

P/K
Longwell, Ryan 820000.00
Kluwe, Chris 700000.00

Longwell finally brought some stability to the kicker position after years of ineptitude. Kluwe, if he's healthy, is one of the top young punters in the league. We're hoping he'll be healthy.

PR/KR
Rookies Josh Wilson and Steve Breaston will compete for punt return duties as both were exceptional in college. JJ Arrington will be the primary kick returner after finishing third in the league in kick return yardage and bringing one back for a touchdown last year.

In conclusion, we think it'll be a very intense year in the NFC North with the defending NFC champ Bears and the much improved Pack and Vikings. We feel that our offense will be greatly improved and that our run defense will be among the best in the league. If we can generate a top 15 pass rush, this team could be tough to beat.

P.S. I must be getting a ton of Phin Dollars for this post

Rams Final Roster

The Rams went into the offseason looking to build on it's successes and fix the problems that plaqued the team in 2006. While the Rams were a top ten Offense in '06, we wanted to improve our rushing attack and scoring options. On defense, the 31st ranked run defense was the achilles heal of the team, and the defense as a whole needed improvement. Here's a look at how this was accomplished:

QUARTERBACKS

Marc Bulger
Kurt Warner
Ryan Fitzpatrick

The QB position is solid with Bulger throwing the rock. With the young Fitzpatrick learning the ropes, we brought in veteran Warner to serve as back-up and tutor, while adding veteran leadership in the lockerroom and on the sideline.

RUNNINGBACKS

Steven Jackson
Correll Buckhalter
Kay Jay Harris
Chris Massay
Madison Hedge****

Jackson leads this group with All-World talent and hard running style that punishes defenders. Buckhalter, a great FA signing, will serve as relief and backup. Harris may be used in short yardage as a change of pace, and Hedge**** has emerged as a solid blocking back leading the way. Massay provides depth and solid special teams play.

WIDE RECIEVER

Tory Holt
Doug Gabriel
Robert Meachum
Anthony Gonzalez
Jason Avant
Dante Hall

With All-Pro Tory Holt leading this group, the overall team speed was greatly increased. With Meachum and Gonzalez able to stretch the field, the running game will open up by keeping the safeties from cheating up. The next GONZO will be used in the slot, while Holt and Meachum open up the outside. Gabriel and Avant are excellent redzone recievers and will provide quality depth. Hall will be our #1 return player while adding more depth and speed to this squad. (on a side note, Hall was traded today in the real NFL to the Rams, go figure)

TIGHT ENDS

Joe Klopfenstein
Eric Johnson
Dominique Byrd

A solid group of blocking and pass catching weapons that the coaching staff has at their disposal. In a two tight end sets, the options are scary, especially in short yardage situations.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Orlando Pace T
Adam Goldberg T
Ritchie Incognito G
Jake Scott G
Mike Flynn C
Brett Romberg C/G
Jeremy Parquet T/G
Andrew Strojny T/G
Sean Mahan G

Big Orlando Pace leads this crew with Goldberg anchoring the opposite side. Incognito and Scott provide solid protection and good run blocking. The addition of Mike Flynn rounds out a very solid front five. The young multi-talented Romberg, Parquet, Strojney and Mahan provide relief and depth. With Scott and Flynn arriving, this group will produce several potential Pro-Bowlers.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES

Ian Scott
Dan Wilkinson
La'Roi Glover
Manny Wright
Claude Wroton

This '06 weak spot was upgraded with the additions of Scott, Wilkinson and a young Manny Wright. Glover leads this group, which is as deep as it ever has been. With Claude Wroten adding more depth, there's enough talent to drastically improve the rush defense and keep everyone fresh for the entire season.

DEFENSIVE ENDS

Jerome McDougel
Marques Douglas
Trevor Johnson
Eric Moore

This position got stronger with the addition of McDougel and Douglas. With Johnson and Moore providing relief and depth, the rush defense continues to improve, and the pass rush will also be improved with this solid group.

LINEBACKERS

Will Weatherspoon
Kendrell Bell
Jon Alston
Tim McGarigle
Mike Brown
Zak DeOssie
Mike Okwo

Team speed improved with the linebacker corp with an infusion of youth and the addition of Kendrell Bell, who along with Weatherspoon will lead the way. Alston will hold the other spot early, but competition will be stiff. The added youth will certainly aid on special teams, which gave up 3 TD's in '06.

CORNERBACKS

Walt Harris
Jerametrious Butler
Derrick Strait
Josh Lay
Tye Hill

Depth was added with Pro-Bowler Harris and Strait. Last years 1st round draft pick Tye Hill make this group very deep and maybe the biggest improvement of all the positions. Josh Lay adds tough special teams play to round out the a very fine corp of pass defenders.

SAFETY

Ryan Clark
Corey Chavous
Jerome Carter
Dustin Fox

Hard Hitting Ryan Clark comes to town to team with Chavous to for a tough tandem of center fielders. Carter and Fox provide depth and add to our special teams unit.

PUNTER/KICKER

Jeff Feagles P
Jeff Wilkins K

Both "Jeffs" have the potential to see Pro-Bowl duty after the '07 season. Feagles is an excellent directional punter and Wilkins is automatic inside 55 yards. Both help in the overall effectiveness of special team play.

The 2007 St. Loius rams have the look of a much improved football team. With more team speed on both side of the ball, solid free agent signings and some key changes on defense, the Rams are sure to contend for the NFC crown.

I think the goal of any GM is to get younger and better, while not crushing your team with high salaries. During this off-season, that goal was accomplished. Our personnel goals this off-season were to address Safety, Defensive Line and Tight End. We also wanted to get younger and better along the defensive line. I think all areas of need were addressed successfully. In addition, the team wanted to let go of some of the players who had some off the field issues, in an effort to clean up the team's image.

Quarterbacks:
Johnson, Doug 595,000.00
Palmer, Carson 7,250,000.00 (starter)
Rowe, Jeff 300,000.00 (rookie 6th round pick)

Obviously, the Bengals were pretty well set with the top 2 guys. But we wanted to bring in a young guy to develop behind Carson and Doug. We really liked what we saw out of Jeff at Nevada. He also had a very impressive Shrine Game and combine workout.

Running Backs:
Johnson, Berudi 3,050,000.00 (starter)
Johnson, Jeremi 900,000.00 (starter)
Booker, Lorenzo 300,000.00 (rookie 4th round draft pick)
Askew, B.J. 300,000.00 (FA Signing from NY Jets)
Hicks, Maurice 300,000.00 (FA Signing from San Francisco)

Improved with Booker as a great change of pace back and Maurice Hicks who can help the return game.

Wide Receivers:
Houshmandzadeh, T.J. 2,125,000.00 (starter)
Johnson, Chad 2,500,000.00 (starter)
Porter, Jerry 1,000,000.00 (acquired in trade with Indianapolis)
Allison, Aundrae 350,000.00 (rookie, 3rd round pick)
McDonald, Shaun 300,000.00 (FA Signing from St. Louis)
Patten, David 300,000.00 (FA Signing from Washington)

Solid before....better now. Adding Porter as a #3 and drafting Allison was huge. McDonald was another nice pick up who will help our return game.

Tight Ends:
Scaife, Oliver "Bo" 435,000.00 (Trade with Tennessee) (#2 TE)
Brady, Kyle 350,000.00 (FA Signing from Jacksonville)
Olsen, Greg 650,000.00 (rookie, 1st round pick) (starter)

Greatly improved. Adding young TE's Scaife and Olsen was huge. Brady is a solid veteran.

Offensive Line
Studdard, Kasey 300,000.00 (rookie 7th round pick)
Anderson, Willie 2,400,000.00 (RT starter)
Hartwig, Justin 1,650,000.00 (Center starter)
Jones, Levi 1,000,000.00 (LT starter)
Marten, James 300,000.00 (rookie 5th round pick)
Kooistra, Scott 595,000.00
Whitworth, Andrew 360,000.00 (LG starter)
Wilkerson, Ben 360,000.00
Andrews, Stacy 300,000.00
Hicks, Artis 300,000.00 (FA Signing from Minnesota) (RG starter)

Slightly tweaked. Bobbie Williams was too pricey and was replaced by Hicks. Adding Hartwig at Center was a huge step up. Marten was a STEAL in round 5 and will be groomed behind Anderson and Jones.

Defensive Tackle:
Peko, Domata 360,000.00 (starter)
Haynesworth, Albert 5,553,334.00 (Trade with Bucs) (starter)
Mebane, Brandon 350,000.00 (rookie, 3rd round pick)
Kelly, Tommy 300,000.00 (FA Signing from Oakland)
Robinson, Bryan 600,000.00

Much younger and better. Haynesworth was pricey, but he is young and better than anything we had. Mebane and Kelly provide youth and depth. And not forgetting you need veteran leadership w/young players, we brought back Robinson who can also play DE.

Defensive End:
Smith, Justin 8,644,00.00 (Franchise Tag) (starter)
McCray, Bobby 400,000.00 (FA Signing from Jacksonville)
Little, Leonard 720,000.00 (starter)
Pittman, Chase 300,000.00 (rookie 7th round pick)

Unbelievable speed and pass rushing ability from both sides. Re-signed Smith...McCray in free agency was flat out grand theft....and Leonard Little is a beast. Our d-line is much improved.

Linebacker:
Brooks, Ahmad 360,000.00 (MLB starter)
Greisen, Nick 300,000.00 (FA signing from Jacksonville)
Jeanty, Rashad 310,000.00 (LOLB starter)
Ruud, Barrett 392,750.00 (Trade with Tampa Bay)
Miller, Caleb 850,000.00
Diggs, Na'il 1,000,000.00 (ROLB starter)

Happy to bring Ruud aboard to compete with Brooks. Either one could start. Diggs was a nice pick up, as was Greisen.

Cornerback:
Joseph, Johnathan 360,000.00 (starter)
O'Neal, Deltha 2,400,000.00 (starter)
Webster, Jason 300,000.00 (FA Signing from Atlanta)
Wright, Kenny 300,000.00 (FA Signing from Washington)
Ross, Aaron 450,000.00 (rookie, 2nd round pick)

Again, completely shocked to see Ross available in the middle of round 2. Unreal value there. He will step in as our #3 and provide insurance should O'Neal not rebound from a subpar 2006. Joseph is ready to start and Webster and Wright provide very solid veteran depth.

Safety:
Doss, Mike 545,000.00 (Trade with Indy) (starter)
Williams, Madieu 510,000.00
Williams, Shaun 400,000.00 (FA signing from Carolina)
Wesley, Greg 1,900,000.00 (starter)

Doss was a fine pick up and he will start at SS. Wesley edges Madieu Williams as the starting FS. Good starters and solid depth here.

Kicker/Punter:
Graham, Shayne 545,000.00
Larson, Kyle 300,000.00

Status quo. Both are very solid.

Total team salary = Updated - 4/25/07 - $55,085,084

Great starters and VERY solid depth at all positions. We got younger at a lot of positions and better at ALL of them. And we stayed well below the cap limit. And really, isn't that EVERY GM's goal?

The New San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are a young team coming off a season that left spectators wanting to see more. With such a young and talented core of players, San Fran was looking to add players of a similar caliber while filling need areas. The front office felt like they achieved both of these things.

Quarterback
Alex Smith-Chris Weinke-Kerry Collins

Smith, the former #1 overall pick, is coming off a season where he made huge strides and flashed the skills that scouts saw when they drafted him. With his 3rd in the system, Alex Smith is ready to be an elite quarterback, especially now with the weapons he has around him. Both Kerry Collins and Chris Weinke are former starters in the NFL and would be more than able to fill the role again, when needed.

Running Back

Frank Gore-Reuben Droughns-Kenny Watson

Fullback
Ovie Mughelli

Not much needs to be said about Frank Gore. The former Hurricane lit up the NFL last year, compiling over 2100 total yards from scrimmage. This year we dont expect much different. Back him up, is veteran workhorse back Reuben Droughns. Also a former 1000 yard back, Droughns will take some of the work load from Gore and can start when needed, without missing a beat. Kenny Watson is the 3rd down back who is has the hands to make an impact coming out of the backfield. Mughelli is the no non-sense hardnosed fullback that every team desires. Known as one of the best pure blockers in the league, Mughelli will open holes in any defensive line.

Wide Receiver

WR1- Braylon Edwards-Michael Jenkins-Taylor Jacobs
WR2- Arnaz Battle- Steve Smith (R)- Jeff Samardzija (R)

The Wide Reciever position was in need of a desperate facelift. With Antonio Bryant facing several games suspension, he was traded while superstar Braylon Edwards was brought in to fill the void at the #1 WR slot. Arnaz Battle will continue to play the role of possesion reciever after leading the team in receptions last year. Former first round pick, Michael Jenkins will battle with rookie Steve Smith for the slot reciever position. Both add blazing speed and deep threat capabilities and would have a chance to start of several other teams. Jeff Samardzija was a flyer taken in the 7th round. He has first round talent and will be retained in case his baseball career doesnt quite work out (see Drew Henson).

Tight End
Vernon Davis- Visante Shiancoe- Kevin Everett

Vernon Davis, the former 1st round pick, is ready to break on to the scene. He brings outstanding athleticism and versatility to the position while being a constant threat to take it to the house. Shiancoe is a veteran who can do it all, if needed. Everett is seen as a poor man's Vernon Davis, since he has been hampered by injuries.

Offensive Line

OT- Alex Barron- Patrick Estes
OG- Larry Allen- Cory Lekkerkerker
OC- Jamaal Jackson- Cory Withrow
OG- David Baas- Ruben Brown
OT- Levi Brown(R)- Kwame Harris- David Snyder

The 49ers realize that games are won in the trenches. That is why they looked to bring in young studs Alex Barron and Jamaal Jackson, while also drafting OT Levi Brown in the first round. David Baas has progressed well enough to break into the starting lineup while OG Larry Allen is the cornerstone of this line. The reserves are all young with starting potential (i.e Kwame Harris and Patrick Estes)

Defensive Line
DE- Osi Umenyiora- Jarret Johnson
DT- Terdell Sands- Isaako Sopoaga
DT- Booger McFarland- Alfonso Boone- Melvin Oliver
DE- Adewale Ogunleye- Marques Douglas- Bryant Young

The D-Line was also improved this offseason since it was closer to swiss cheese last year than it was a line. Pro Bowlers Adewale Ogunleye and Osi Umenyiora will bring the heat off the edge while behemouths Booger McFarland and Terdell Sands (6'7 340 lbs) clog the middle. The depth is also noteworthy with Isaako Sopoaga and Alfonso Boone filling in the rotation. Jack-of-all-trades Jarrett Johnson came over from Baltimore to bolster the line.

Linebackers
OLB- Brandon Moore- Jeff Ulbrich
MLB- Derek Smith- Jon Abbate (R)
OLB- Tully Banta-Cain- Carlos Emmons

The linebacking core remains mostly intact with a few key additions. Derek Smith will continue to hold down the MLB spot while star in the making, Brandon Moore, will add a presence at OLB. Tully Banta-Cain was brought in from NE to add blitzing power. Jon Abbate is the heir apparent at MLB while Emmons and Ulbrich are veteran depth.

Defensive Backfield

CB- Patrick Surtain- Will Allen- Travarous Bain(R)
CB- Shawntae Spencer- Roderick Hood
S- Mike Brown- Mark Roman
S- Brodney Pool- Marcus Hudson

The defensive backfield might have gone from being the weakest area to the most talented. Patrick Surtain is a major upgrade over the aging Walt Harris while Spencer shows why he was a 2nd round pick. Roderick Hood and Will Allen both were starters last year but will have to fight for the nickel job on this team. Mike Brown is a former pro bowler who will create turnovers. Pool is an up and comer who will only get better with time.

Special Teams

K-Jay Feely
P- Steve Weatherford
PR/KR- Steve Smith (R)- Travarous Bain(R)

With the team losing both starters in free agency, Feely and Weatherford were picked up. Feely is quite reliable and leg strength while Weatherford's power will be useful in both the punting game as well as on kickoffs. Rookies Steve Smith and Travarous Bain are explosive return men who can take on back for a TD at any time.

Trading Dwight Freeney was tough, but we feel we got a great deal in return. But aquiring Patrick Kerney back via free agency, with the young blossoming Robert Geathers, the Colts defensive ends are a great combo. We are looking forward to see what Robert and Kerney can do, hopefully Kerney can show Robert a few tips along the way.
