For the first time in a while we will be able to have a serious threat against those f*ing teams that loaded the line and blew up our O-line. On our 3rd and 5 or so we will be able to line up booker and brown as split backs, chambers and ginn on the same side as booker, then brown and the TE on the other. The options will be endless as we can use Booker to get in the middle behind the line backer (make a move on a safety and goodnight), send chambers deep (or ginn) and leave ginn out in the flats to make one move and be gone. I mean with this setup it could be sick. Also throw Marty on the opposite side without the TE, or leave the TE and sit Booker or Brown. If our qb has any kind of accurracy we will have the offense this team has needed for a long time. Having speed on the offense will help take a chunk of the load off the line as they won't be blocking 7 guys like last year. Cam knows what he is doing, if we don't make the playoffs this year I will be suprised. This is the first time I have thought we have a chance at the playoffs in 4 years.

if we can avg. 20 pts a game, history shows that we can win most of our games...I see this happening a lot... Fins D stops opposing team, 4th down they punt, Ginn sets us up with good field position time after time and we pound it in.. I predict us breaking the record for most field goals in a season

Thats why we have Feeley now. The amount of points scored on our D is pretty damn good considering they were ALWAYS on the field. Imagine these guys with time to rest between series and not playing all the time. They won't be slowing down in the 4th this year.

I think our O has potential. I am excited for the season. Still, a lot of it is going to come down to QB play.

How about on third and 5 we now have a real Fullback to block for our QB this year?

Schlesinger is a fine blocker, Solai looked like one in college, I think either one is an upgrade from what we had last year, I lean towards Schleisinger myself, it is hard to beat an experienced FB who can still play.

I allmost can gurantee thier will be a penalty on this formation, or i just dont understand wear u are coming from.

I agree, our personnel on O have a few weaknesses, but the skills of the guys out there should bring a new dynamic and present opportunities from the system to succeed. I think the weapons we have at different O positions will allow us to relieve pressure and give a few more quick options for the teams that took advantage of our weak line. Maybe this helps Cpepp or Beck or Green, whoever get a few more seconds to find an out.

What I really like about Ginn is that I think if he gets a short yard dump to him he's gonna burn lots of guys for big plays on short passes.

Now only time will tell if we can execute it. Seems like Cam is going in the right direcetion to win games even if its not the tradional way of doing so. Ginn seems like a gold pick more and more i think abotu it.

Good perspective thread starter.

Hahahaha i was thinkin the same thing.. either that or one of our receivers are going to be ineligible.. 3 WR, 2 backs.. you cant ALSO have a tight end in that senario unless he is playin QB haha

However, i do agree with the general idea of the post.. i am excited for our improved offense and to see how well they can play this year.

We have a lot of options in the skill positions, but we face another year of a revamped offensive line, and Cleo Lemon is currently our starting quarterback. If the line gels and Culpepper is healthy or we have Green, we can have a deadly offense.

well if you re-read at no scenario is there 3WR, 2 RB, and a TE. I will specify a little more clearly as I thought some would think this is an illegal formation.

2WR, 2RB, and a TE (Chambers and Ginn lined up on the same side as Booker/rb would be, Brown and TE on other side to block. Then send Chambers deep, Booker over the middle, and leave Ginn in the flats) - this is for that all out blitz that killed us last year.

3WR 2RB no TE (Chambers & Ginn opposite sides going deep, Booker slant just to squeeze middle, and send booker or brown in the flats and one block)

3WR, 1RB, and TE (Chambers and Booker 15 yds deep, Ginn flats, TE appear to block/delay then 10 yd out)

Really the possibilities could be endless, Trent Green is the perfect fit for this kind of offense for two years and if he gets hurt, well same as any other nfl team, hope #2 can step up and go. (Thats why Becks age is an advantage, unlike half these moran reporters think)

Sorry to ramble, I just havn't been this excited about our team (sorry to say) for a few years running now.

our o-line will almost certainly suck for awhile, and that hurts this scenario, but having said that, I bet we DO mix and match all over the place "this" year looking for advantages.

interesting username, I'm not a fidel fan.

Fadell is my last name, and during my time in the AF they gave me Castro as my call name. I'm not a fan of Fidel either. But thats where the name came from....

I don't think there was ever a season in all the years i've been a fan... That I haven't looked forward to. Even when we were losing last year I couldn't wait till the fins came on.
