What has been so frustrating with the Fins past couple of years is that they would go out and beat good/great teams only to **** the bed against bottom dwellers. This game had so many built in excuses for the team to lay an egg with all that transpired during the week, I was very nervous about it. Not only would a loss pretty much put an end to the season in week 4 no less, it wouldve opened the full blown circus parade. Short and simple, this was a must win against a poor oponent, and the Fins havent been able to win those under Philbin. They took care of business yesterday, in a convincing matter. So I have a hard time today with the "it was just the Raiders" narative. If only we beat half the teams with a losing record last year, we might have ended up with a first round bye, think about it for a second. the whole team played grea. Hell tannehill might have played his best game of his pro career, in a situation where he was actually playing FOR his pro carreer to continue. Thats what Im looking for from my QB, improvements not only in his game but in certains situations where he would play poorly. Yesterdays game against a bad team to save a season is certainly one of those situations he's struggled with before. Kudos to him and the rest of the team. the fact it was the worst team in the league makes this more impresive, as those games are why we missed the playoffs last year...
