i know this has nothing to do with anything, but for such slow times we need to pass time some how. anyways....ive been a fin fan for a while and i really didnt get to enjoy Dan the Man enough cuz i was too young. but for the first time in about 6 years our team is actually rebuilding. forget the past 4 years people claimed we were "rebuilding" i know Cam said he was rebuilding, but if he was doing so he would have started Beck since week 7 when he knew there was no hope. but now with everything that is happening i see hope for our DOLPHINS! we are building the D and O line and finally getting youth injected into this team. instead of getting washed up older players ala Joey Porter. now don't get me wrong. I FREAKING LOVE JP ever since the Steeler days. but how is he going to help us with atmost 3 years left of production. we could have gone after younger playmakers with less talent but will be around longer. anyways just Finally glad to see the direction this team is heading isnt temporary fix.

How do you see 3 more years of production as nothing to offer? We might see production out of one of our QBs this year, and maybe a winning team as early as the year after.

Good points.. Except for your JP scenario. I wouldnt say he is washed up yet. Last year he was used incorrectly in the beginning of the season and was coming off injury. At midseason, (when we played Pitt ironically) was when he really turned on the jets and produced.

As fans, we get excited every year. But the last couple of years have worn on all of us I'm sure. Then after last years debacle, well it has been rough. I could not agree more, it is awesome seeing us moving in the right direction. No more bs about we are 1 or 2 players away. Finally I get the feeling that we may be doing this the right way!

As a fan for over 20 years now I can easily say that we have been in a subtle slow decline since Shula left. It is heart breaking to think of Jimmy Johnson wasting Marino's last good years. I like most forum members here live and die with the Phins so the last decade has been especially depressing. Those Wanstache years are really what's to blame for our current state of decline. JJ might not have hit any players in the first round but the other rounds were pretty productive, Wanstache only drafted player on the team right now is Vernon Carey, heck most are already out of the league and it's only been four seasons since his last draft. Hopefully this years draft can be like that last grea Shula draft that got us Webb and Sims and our left side was set for a decade. Keep in mind how many times the Phins were within one score late in the game last year before collapsing. If they can win a few more of those close games 6 or 7 wins is not all that crazy. Personally, I think the big challenge will be putting together a descent team this year on Madden.

I was lucky enough to be a fan since the the "good old days"...........71' lost to Dallas, but we were there.........72' kicked butt and won every thing.......I was 12 and that was the greatest time to be a football fan and lucky enough to have the greatest team of all.............73', why throw the ball when you can run it!!! “Csonka” that’s all you need to say…………....now that was a football player. JJ wasn't to bad, he could put together a good draft. Wanny was the biggest mistake we could have made. The Bears still are suffering from his coaching and so are we. Cam…???

Now we have a collective coaching staff that knows football and how to draft people. We will win some games this year that we shouldn’t……….and will lose some games we shouldn’t…………….but then after next years draft we will be MUCH better and have less holes to fill. Give it three years and I think we will be back on track to the playoffs…………and hey who knows, maybe a SB!
