Everyone enjoy! Looking forward to hearing your critiques.

If Rolando McClain is available

1. Rolando McClain ILB Alabama – Consensus and IMO most obvious choice
2. Mardy Gilyard WR Cinn – WR with playmaking ability, also a pretty good return man.
3. Sergio Kindle OLB Texas – High motor, can pressure the QB and cover the field sideline to sideline
4. Larry Asante SS Nebraska – Clemons is being groomed to play FS, it’s time to find an heir apparent for Yeremiah Bell (32 yrs old), we will need one down the road. Assante is pretty good.
6a. Jimmy GrahamTE Miami - Very athletic TE. We have no TE on the roster, I expect Anthony to be re-signed so this would give our QBs some options in the middle.
6b. Taylor Price WR Ohio – Good size/speed ratio 6’1” 212 with speed 4.4 range.
6c. Jamar Wall CB Tex. Tech – very physical CB (I love physical DBs), will provide good depth and special teams play.
7a. Brad Phillips S N.Western – quality depth player, and special teamer
7b. Ryan D’Imperio ILB Rutgers – decent size, another quality depth player

BIG Offseason Free Agent Signings

1. Vince Wilfork or Casey Hampton
2. Tony Scheffler

Key Re-Signings
1. Ronnie Brown
2. Chad Pennington - only if he understands that he is competing for the starting spot. If he does not like that, then we move forward with Tyler Thigpen as our #2.
2. Davone Bess
3. Lousaka Polite
4. Anthony Fasano
5. Nate Jones

no way SERGIO KINDLE and JIMMY GRAHAM drop that far.

Kindle wont make it pass the 1st round and jimmy will go late 3rd

Ok, if that is the case, then...

I would go with Eric Norwood in the third, and If Graham is gone, than I would go with a physical blocking TE in Colin Peek, because I already have mocked the signings of Tony Scheffler and Anthony Fasano.

Getting McClain would give this draft atleast a B, pretty much any way that we finish it.

Kindle might be my favorite OLB in this draft. He totally looked like a future NFL star against Bama in that championship game. Getting him in round 3 would be the steal of the draft. Expect him to end up going in the top 25.

Man I do not want Gilyard at all, not a fan. Give us Arrelious Benn . . . trust me, if we don't fix the special teams blocking, it wont matter who is returning kicks. Our coverage has gotten miles better, but the blocking on the returns is god awful.

SS does us no good right now, when we have 2 guys making 5 million a piece suited for the position, give us Brandon Lang at #3 or another OLB.

I think Jimmy Graham is a target, just round 6 will be too late I feel. Expect a trade of one of our young WR's to get us a 4th/5th.

I agree with those 3 completely.

But when you say "give us Arrelious Benn" are you thinking he is going to be around at our 2nd pick??

Kindle looks like a 3rd rounder to me. 5th rounder at times, 1st rounder at times. hes a project with a lot of potential, something you dont take in the 1st two picks unless you have no holes...

also, why do you like Benn over Gilyard?

Yea that is what I'm thinking. Based on draft mocks that I have seen, I see Benn in round 1 or in round 2. Personally I don't want a WR at all in the draft . . . but I just rather Benn over Gilyard if we had to take one.

Agreed, he has LOADS of potential . . . but he really didn't put it together until this year. He had a real solid year this year, by far his best in college and he topped it off nicely against Bama.

Benn has that size/speed combo that can translate to being a #1 WR in the NFL. I know he stats look blah . . . but Illinois didn't have much of a passing game this year with Juice under center. Benn is a BEAST after the catch. He is a faster version of Anquan Boldin . . . hands not AS good as Q's . . . but they are good. He can break tackles with the best of them. Route running needs work, but that can be said of alot of WR's early in their career.

Maybe I am sleeping on Gilyard . . . I know he is a great returner, and he played in a better offense than Benn did. He is a homerun hitter. IMO people that want him are the ones that have completely given up on Ted Ginn. I rather give Ginn a WR that can compliment him, rather than get him a WR that is closer to a clone. He has real good hands and is elusive . . . I want that big target that can go up and get it on third down, but then can get down the field and hit the the homerun. The guy that can break a tackle and stiff arm his way to a TD, that is Benn.

im just not a fan of Benn and his lackadaisical attitude, that spells disaster in the NFL. specially at the WR position. now maybe its because of the lack of passing game around him, but i cant see that. if he wanted it, he wanted it. i just dont see him being around the NFL to long because of that..i wouldnt take him in the 2nd thats for sure. people will fall in love with his measurements, but not me. i liked him coming out of high school, but not anymore..

I liked benn but I liked him two years ago. last year he basically was a non factor.

he needs a real attitude adjustment, one which I don't think can just happen overnight. I like gilyard, I like thomas, bryant obviously. pass those three with perhaps a golden tate in there, I'm not looking for us to draft a WR either.
