I know 99% of all Dolphin fans have either called in sick for tomorrow's scheduled work day, or have switched with someone else...even paying off another employee to take his/her shift for the day tommorrow. Anyone else is probably using their 1 or 2 week vacation time for this week... because tommorrow is almost like a National Holiday for any football fan, much less Dolphin fans. Its finally here. The everyday life that we are accostomed to--literally stops as for the next two days. Its Draft Day. And for us here at FINHEAVEN NATION...this is a draft that I, along with many of you---this draft has the feel of importance for this franchise--that quite frankly cannot be understated of its signficance for this coming season alone, and of course, for the future. This is a most critical draft---and everyone knows what we have to do...the question remains: Can the Cam-Ram team get it done? We are about to get our first look.. I want to believe that we are in very good hands... Failure in this draft is not an option, period. I wish both of them the best in the next 2 days. All of us are.

I want to get together with all the FINHEAVEN NATION tommorrow inside this 6 million dollar Bazooka-Bubble, as we should get are own little war-room table in front view of the superscreen TV, and of course, within a birds-eye view of the 2007 Dolphins Cheerleaders, when ESPN goes to a commercial. This is going to be a Carnival Atmosphere...and there are many Dol-fans going to this event. But we need to all get together...for those who are local...or even the greatest fan from OHIO...BRYAN from OHIO...I will buy you a beer if you literally come down tommorrow. This is a big day for us...we may as well live it up tommorrow...and pray together for a great draft!

Anyways.. I will be hanging around the WQAM Tent tommorrow... I want to say hello to some of the sales people I know from there, as well as listen in to see what they are going to give away tommorrow...and you know I like Dolphin Trivia, especially on draft day!

So...whoever is going tommorrow. Let's be a unit of Finheaven Nation... and I guess anyone who actually knows me personally--like OZZY...Aquaman or RICKY...JUAN...or even you BRYANOHIO...we will see you tommorrow...I will be there no later than 11 am.

I would be a little disapponted incidently---if the Dolphins took WR Ted Ginn at #9. But what if Quinn is gone, and Levi Brown is gone---and we cant trade down?

I really believe the Dolphins will have Trent Green by tommorrow...(petersen will fold like an accordian). Marty Booker for Trent Green? I think we should give up nothing but that 7th. Booker hopefully gets traded in another deal...hopefully for another pick or another player. They want more speed on the outside...they seem to think Hagen can match Booker's production...im not sold on that.

I won't cry if it is Ted Ginn. John Beck is the #40 target...I hope we can get him there.

Good Luck to Cameron-Mueller... may the stars align for every selection.

My thinking is now we are going to pick either BROWN or GINN... who knows what to expect? Expect the unexpected. See you tommorrow....DCH

If Bryan from Ohio is there and the 790 The Ticket people are there, they'll feel like they already know each other since Bryan called the station about 1,000 times ... especially about us getting Bill Cowher. :D

For Dolphin Fans... STEVE in COLORODO. If the BROWNS pass on QUINN...then the bubble bursts within the building. The fans will anticipate the Dolphins making a move up to draft Quinn. That would really make some interesting 911 phone calls from the Dolphins to the Redskins at 6. I would like to have Quinn at 9...I would not give up the kitchen sink and the outhouse to get him. Let me ask you guys something....if CHARLIE WEIS is not Brady's coach at ND....where would he be seperated from...ability wise, from John Beck and Trent Edwards? Weis's role and what he is telling everyone around the NFL about Quinn is ringing loud. What I am saying is the seperation of Quinn to Beck or Edwards...is just not that wide of margins. One of these guys...is going to be a Dolphin, rest assured.

I totally agree. Quinn is only slightly better than the second tier QBs. I can't ever remember a coach talking up a player as much as C Weis. For those people who think C Weis is anything special, you need your heads examined. T Brady is the best QB in the NFl but his success has a lot less to do with C Weis than people understand. C Weis didn't make Tom Brady. Tom Brady and B Bellichek made Tom Brady what he is today. The Pats offense under Weis was nothing special. They enjoyed success because of Brady. Once Weis left, T Brady showed the rest of the NFL what a great QB he really was. C Weis is talking up Brady Quinn for lots of reasons but recruiting is the principle one. There's been enough debate on this board concerning Quinn and I don't think either side is going to convince the other. His supporters think he is the uber hybrid of Peyton-Brady and his critics think he is a Carr-Harrington mutt. No one will know the real answer for 2-3 years.

Man, I wish I lived in Florida!!!!!!!!!! :boohoo: :tantrum: :fire:

I'd be there

I think you are right. There are quite a few teams that have stated that they "don't even want" Quinn. See MIN.

I mean, at least a team like MIN would want to force MIA into trading up with them would at least throw a smokescreen.

But problem is, Shefter mentioned that MIA has already stated that they "are NOT interested in trading up" for Quinn.

In other words, MIA is content in not drafting the guy. And if and only if he were to slide to #9 would they consider taking him.

But signs point to Levi Brown or Tedd Ginn Jr at #9. They are the most logical targets. Especially with Mayock stating that many teams are "high" on Edwards, Beck, and Kolb. So MIA will have a shot at at least one of them.

Beck could go bottom of RD 1. And Edwards could go right before us in RD 2. That would still leave Kolb and Stanton there for us at #40.

Then, MIA could just use the #40 pick with say our 4th Rounder or #40, Booker, and a 6th Rounder to move up into the bottom of RD 1 if we wanted to take Beck or Edwards instead. But I would be content with Kolb.

Reports compare him to Jay Cutler.

In the end, I see MIA coming out of Saturday's first day of the draft with 4 of the following players: either...

Quinn, Brown, Ginn Jr at #9 (don't sleep on Joe Staley being a surprise pick)
Edwards, Kolb, or Kalil at #40
Smith, Hill, Rice, Gonzales, or Stanton at #60
Satele, Free, or Harris at #71

We'll be fine by Sunday's second day...

Wow... Nice call DCH on both Ginn and Beck. Pretty impressive.
