FinHeaven Poll: Who should start next week vs. the Saints?

Frerrote knows the system, but the man cannot make the throws. Every single pass shouldn't be hard to catch. Come on!!!!! he throws screen passes off target!!!!

Give me one instance where frerrote has thrown a great pass?

It might be time to start sage....

I picked Sage too... if nothing else just to change things up and see what happens.

Man, i thought about what you said, and i can't think of one stinking good pass he's thrown!!

I pulled for Gus over AJ but I have always wanted Sage to get a shot. Gus sucks It's time for that shot.

I'm going to take Gus. I don't think Sage starts until this team rings up 8 losses. That might not even happen this season.

and Sage Threw a beautiful pass to chambers, a nice 77 yarder, he has a strong arm, and i belive its the second time he threw a 77 yard TD pass to chambers in this first throw, if Sage plays i think Chambers will have a career year. It seems like Sage favorite target is chambers

You mean Sage don't you?

It's a tough catch-22 like situation because this should be our most winnable game (although I'm well aware we can easily lose).

Do you start Gus, watch him perform well against a struggling team, get the win, and go against Atlanta the following week with a QB your still uncertain of?

Or do you start Sage and risk losing a game you should win because he needs time to get up to game speed as a starter/shake the rust, and then head aganist Atlanta 2-5 with a new starter that may or may not be any better than what you had? And on top of this you've already stirred the QB controversey to the top of the pot with your original starters confidence now shaken and trust broken.

Sage earned the job in preseason. The coaches just gave him a blind eye. Of course i'd like to see the guy who should have been named the starter in the first place get a chance.

i would rather start Sage against a bad team cause if he dose bad we still might be wining or have a chance to comeback but if he dose bad against a good team then their is no chance.

Thats kind of how I see it. But, Gus is a pro and he has been around long enough to know that if you complete only 38% of your passes, a change should be made.

Its not like guys weren't open. People were. And its not like its the OLs fault because often times the KC defense sent more players than they could pick up (when we went empty backfield)

A change needs to be made. Gus just isnt playing well enough to win even against the saints. Its not so much what defenses are doing to Gus, its what Gus ISNT doing. And that is throwing accurate passes.

If it was a case of him getting killed in the pocket all the time like AJ and Fielder last year. I would cut him some slack. But this OL is giving him good protection at times (with the help of RB blocking) and he just misses the throws.

Time for a change.

Were you 100% Sage should have been the starter after the Denver game too?

As for the idea that the coaches gave Sage the blind eye for the poster above. How do you figure this when they moved him up the depth chart to #2, surpassing Feeley who was a prime candidate for the starting job all preseason.
