Finheaven Staff Ask Us Anything

Two complex questions.
1. If you could field an All-Time Dolphins team, who would your starters be ... and why?
2. If every team fielded an All-Time team of their players, which teams would you think would be the best ... and why?

QB D Marino
RB Ricky Williams
FB Larry Csonka
WR Mark Duper
WR Mark Clayton
TE Randy McMichael
LT Richmond Webb
LG Larry Little
C Dwight Stephenseon
RG Bob Kuechenberg
RT Norm Evans

#2 is kinda tough as I am not nearly as familiar with other teams historical players as I am the Phins. Off the top of my head, I would think Pittsburg and Dallas would be near the top of the list...

All-time top 5 team rosters after the merger have to be:

Giants
Dallas
San Fran
Green Bay
Steelers

in no particular order.

All great choices. I'd lean towards Steelers, Cowboys and 49'ers as #2 through #4, but I gotta admit, I'd have the Dolphins at #1. Can't wait to see your All-Time Dolphins Favorites lineup.

That Dolphins team would be hard to beat for sure...

That Pitt team just from the 80's alone had like 9 HOF players......them and GB would have the best rosters. Miami could possibly be top 5 but the best ever? come on now.

Not bad but Paul Warfield is in the HOF so he has to be ahead of Clayton and Duper and Keith Jackson would be the TE.

Mind your own business, I have my list, you make yours... :NANA:
Jackson in my eyes was more an Eagle than Fin, his best years were with the Birds, he didn't really produce up to the hype once he got here. The same goes for Warfield, he was more a Brown in my eyes. He played more years for the Browns and had better stats there than he did with the Fins.
So if you were to put Warfield on there, who do you remove, Duper or Clayton?

I play all 3 of them and if you go by who played where then Ricky should be there then?.....of course it'd be great to have both those guys back there.

Are you trying to make new rules up as you go?

I was basing my all time team list off AFC/NFC Championships and SBs won. Honestly New England has a case for top 5 also but hey **** Tom Brandy this is a Dolphins site 🤣

Here is the team I would assemble based on maximum performance and flexibility of running multiple Offenses and Defenses to offset other team's all time greatest rosters.

Offense - 23
QB - Marino, Griese - 2
RB - Csonka, Morris, Williams, Kick - 5
WR - Warfield, Clayton, Duper, Moore, McDuffie - 5
TE - McMichael, Fasano, Hardy - 3
T - Web, Evens, Carey - 3
G - Little, Kuechenberg, Sims, Foster - 4
C - Stephenson, Langer - 2

Defense - 23
LB - Thomas, Buoniconti, Brudzinski - 3
NT/DT - Herder, Baumhower, Fernandez, Bowens, Betters -5
DE/OLB - Taylor, Wake, Cross, Duhe, Cox, Den Herder- 6
CB/DB - Jones, Madison, Surtain, Howard, Buckley - 5
S - Scott, Oliver, Anderson, Blackwood - 4

Special Teams - 7
P - Roby - 1
K - Mare - 1
LS - Denney - 1

Phenomenal. Mine would look very similar with only a few changes.
