Hi all,
I want to take the time to explain a thing or 2 about the Ticket raffles that you have seen out here. I feel this is necessary as many of you do not know about Finheaven’s Tackle Football team, The C2C FINS.
This team is made up of members from this forum. It started back in February 2007, with a challenge from me to MindWarp. We both put together teams and we played in April this year. It was a lot of fun and it has grown into what we have today. If you would like to see pics and video of the game and the weekend, go to the LOUNGE and enter the C2C FINS forum at the top of the page. Our whole history is there in black and white and color!!!
After this event, we thought it would be great to challenge other fan forums around the league. So we merged teams and brought on other players to complete a first string team. We then went out and formally challenged several sites and they are listed below:
BILLS – BILLS ZONE
JETS – GangGreen
JETS – JetsInsider
The Gang Green site folded on us however, the JetsInsider and Bills Zone have accepted our challenge.
Now what this means is that our C2C FINS team, our fan forum team, will play tackle football against the above mentioned teams’ fan forum. This is 7 on 7 tackle football with no pads. These will be hard hitting games to say the least!!!
Our first game will be against the JetsInsider team. It will be on September 22, 2007. This is the day before the FINS play the JETS in Giant Stadium. The next game will be in Buffalo on December 8, 2007, the day before the FINS play the BILLS in Ralph Wilson…
This is THE beginning of something that will grow within the next few years! This is the next best thing to watching the NFL teams and it will take off very soon!!! But like any ground level effort, there are initial costs and efforts that need to be met. Our team needs to travel to their towns. This is not cheap as we have players from around the country that need to travel in. I sponsored the first game by flying people into Florida from Ohio, California, Washington State and Virginia. I paid for the flights, hotel and jerseys. I did this because I REALLY wanted to get this Fan Forum League thing going!!!
The good thing is I/we have contacts that can lower the costs of these efforts. The bad thing is that we have a young team, many in college, and money is real tight. I can’t afford to sponsor another trip at this point so we are looking for ways to raise money, which leads me back to the topic.
I hope that this will rest fears of a scam or of an event that will take advantage of individuals out here. I hope that you all can find a way to purchase a ticket for a chance to win something 30 times better!!!
In closing I wish to offer you this thought…
A team of Finheaven FANS/MEMBERS will be going to Jersey to beat up on JETS fans if we can raise the money!!! How much better can you get??? And it will all be VIDEO-TAPED so that all of this forum can see the results!!!:D:kick::beer1:

BTW, if you would like to join the team, please submit an app. Everyone is guaranteed a spot on the team!!! IF we get enough players around the country, funding these events become easier!!!
