Why are people saying he old? He came off injured year like Grimes did, give him a chance.he had one bad season injured , get over it. First year with rams no one threw at him.

Finnegan is old because he has played like garbage lately.
Grimes is young because he has played well lately.

YW

More the style of play. Grimes is more of a finess player relying on speed, agility and instincts.

Finnegans game is physical, jam at the line, re route the WR. Hence many feel his age does not lend to that style of play.

I understand your second comment bro, however if our secondary standup, and has each others back, then Cortland could still play that way.

You mean the stuff that goes first as you age?

Courtland has started since jump street in his career and has a lot of mileage on him. Not everyone ages the same way, and his tape showed him looking old and slow last year. This orbital injury seems to be having people excuse his complete lack of ability to handle even simple routes last year.

Finnegan was bad in 2010, 2012 and horrific in 2013. He is living off the 2011 contract year in which he was legitimately phenomenal.

He's a Phin now, and I'll root for him and hope I'm wrong, but watching him last year he looked toast. To give him the money we did is beyond comprehension. The Rams couldn't get rid of him fast enough and that was his HC for years and years.

I could not conceivably disagree more. With most people, the FIRST thing age robs is speed and reaction time. The last thing it robs is strength and smarts.

How much did we give him?
