Just watching the SNF pregame. I thought the same thing initially, but was not sure if a safety was there and never looked at the replay.

But, Dungy(I can not stand him) and Harrison are 100% correct. Finnegan totally screwed up on that fake spike play. All he had to do was make the tackle or at the very least force the WR back into the field as opposed to letting him have the sideline and the game is over. Go watch the play again. Jones is there(of course Jones might have let the WR score) and if Finnegan just guards the sideline and forces the WR back into the field of play, he will likely be tackled in bounds and the clock will expire. Just a horrible play by Finnegan.

My initial thought was that Finnegan couldve been more aggressive and made the tackle himself, keeping the WR in bounds, but I was not sure if a safety was there in case Finnegan over pursues trying to make the tackle and misses. Jones was indeed there. Finnegan has to make that play.

Finnegan has been a horrible signing for the most part. His play is less than stellar. He is nowhere near the player he was in Tennessee.
 
Watched the same SNF show, Finnegan makes the tackle inbounds game over.....Fins win.

I could of told you that from being forced to watch him and the Rams here in the STL. There was a reason Fisher cut him -- his best days have been behind him for a long time now. Very puzzling signing by Hickey.
 
Team lacks discipline! For all the preaching Average Joe does/did about discipline tying shoes, picking up gum wrappers, etc.... Week in and week out team sure plays with no discipline!

Philbin tries to act tough with stupid rules in order to demand respect. All he has accomplished is setting himself up for the players to throw him under the bus. Philbin acts like a dick. The players do not respect him.
Philbins time is coming because no matter how good or bad the team plays, those critical decisions are on pHILBIN.
 
Great point. It's puzzling that Jamar Taylor can't get worked in at boundary corner some. It is hard to believe that he could be that bad. He should be brought into situations he can handle. That was a rookie from Fresno. Taylor couldn't play him? Finnegan has a good attitude but he has lost a step and really hurt us out there.

Defense did enough in that game IMO.
 
i see what ur saying but the game should not have even come down to that.... we should have ran the ball before that and ran an extra 30 secs off the clock. The sack fumble at mid field a few plays earlier should have been the game. but philbin doesnt understand time management

It's like being too controlling with your teenage daughter, then she breaks out and becomes a stripper :d-day:

Game was over when Philbins car was able to get him to the stadium
 
Fin sucked ass all day long...he is done in my opinion He has to make that tackle and keep him in bounds he missed sev. tackles today
 
Like nearly every Dolphins CB besides Vontae, Grimes, and Patterson in the last couple of years, he can scarcely make any positive plays and blows as much as higher upside guys might, but for some reason he is a starter out there every play.
