WR may get 4-5 good looks... a game that's all folks... If a WR or TE is on a serious roll he will get many more looks/passes etc...

Get with the Sparano program - we won't have a WR with 10 receptions a game om any consitent basis... and we won't have a WR ***** if he cannot get the ball..., the O is designed to get the ball to whoever is open..., that is if we even have to rely on the pass at all... a TE who Henne can always rely upon is the ticket... A NT and MLB X2 is an even greater priority of need...

It would be nice to get a receiver who can get open consistently.

You just described the Patriots offense in 2006. When they added a number 1 in 2007, they went undefeated in the regular season. It's not like it's something that would hurt us.

Dude, after watching the Denver game a couple weeks ago (Marshall) and the Jets game last week (Edwards) I beg to differ. A #1 beast of a WR is exactly what this team needs. Those guys make HUGE differences in games.

We already have one of those. May as well get a WR too.

easier said than done, brother.

a lot of people are going to demand we look to get a stud WR in the off season. i think the front office will address the defense, aging linebacker's and NT position.

i wouldn't even be shockedd if we look at a replacement for ricky before we looked at a WR.

I would like a big WR who, when the ball is in the air, will fight for the ball and come down with it. Andre Johnson/Fitzgerald/Marshall etc. When the ball is in the air those guys go up and get it. I don't care what number the guy has (#1,#2 whatever). BIG guy who FIGHTS for the ball when it is in the air. No one WR, so far, on our team qualifies IMO

I think we go D first two selections and yes there is that certain investment in run offense that has already been made and is going to continue... so maybe RWs eventual replacement...?

I think we actually find groom a TE - now that we have a slew of WRs..., all of them catch and run well... We don't have that steady diet of hook patterns not that Penny is gone...

BTW - we lossed to Indy because our D was horrific... it had nothing to do with a #1 WR..., Henne can extend the field with Ginn Ginn will drop passes - it happens shift happens..., the D was pathetic that day...

i agree.. i think if the oline can keep henne clean and give him the time that they gave him in the jets game.. than this passing game will take off.. a true 1 wr wouldn't hurt.. but if we could get a play making middle lb(example willis, mayo type) and a young stud nt.. this defense could be awesome.. also wouldn't hurt to get someone on the back end who could actually make plays.. like reed or polamalu..
