Miami showed up for Senior Bowl week on Saturday and was already seen interviewing prospects.

Players they talked to were WR Martin Nance, QB Darrell Hackney & OL Davin Joseph. They talked to a few other players who were not mentioned. I wont be able to get over to Mobile until Tuesday & Wednesday, so no live reports until then. I'll pass on any further info I get as it comes in. Rumors also have it that if you dont have a press pass, then your access will be very limited this year. *******s! :fire: lol

I like Nance's size but I don't think he's the type of receiver we need. I think we need another speed receiver to stretch the field. Chambers & Booker can be possession receivers when we need them to.

i think if we get a wr we should go with holmes hes a burner like moss and smith and would be availible at 16 and if we want on in the later rounds go with marshal from ucf

Tough pill to swallow if we draft a WR in the 1st. If that is the case, that would mean that Huff, Jimmy W, Ngati, McNeil, Hawk, Greenway, Bing, Cutler and Landry are gone.

Although if by some reason Booker is gone, it may be needed

I believe Landry went back to school for his senior year FWIW.

I know alot of people would be against this and I do think its a long shot, but if Santonio Holmes is at 16, we may have found a guy who would come alot cheaper than TO and would return kicks to start off.

Santonio Holmes is 5'9, Martin Nance is 6'5. Big difference there, and Im not trying to say you need to be huge to be a good reciever, just look at Chambers(5'11). IMO the tandem of Nance and Chambers would be absolutly nasty, but I think he could get picked up by Atlanta or Philly just before us and WR isnt our biggest need. Somtimes it is about getting the best value for your pick though. Draft day seems so far

Santonio Holmes is 5'9

He's listed at 5'11. The last time we had two starting 5'11 WRs we did pretty well, they were Clayton & Duper.

im so pumped up for this draft isnt it like 90 days away?

Martin Nance is about 6 feet, 3 and 3/4ths inches, 212 lbs.

Santonio Holmes is 5 feet, 10 and 5/8ths inches, 185 lbs.

Courtesy of Scouts Inc. They and NFL Draft Scout are the only source of ACCURATE height/weight listings at this point, until the NFL Combine. Those listings on the school website and the major sports networks (yahoo, cbs, espn) are notoriously inaccurate.

Brandon Marshall is the top guy I want at this point. 6 feet, 4 and 3/8ths inches and 222 lbs. He ran a 4.55 coming out of high school, but I don't know what he runs right now. Marques Colston is another guy I want. He is nearly identical in size 6 feet, 4 and 5/8ths inches, 222 lbs...and supposedly runs in the 4.5 range. These two were the most dominant receivers in the Hula Bowl and East-West Shrine Game, respectively. Two other guys I want are Todd Watkins (6'2.5", 185 lbs, runs 4.4) and Travis Wilson (6'2", 212 lbs, runs around 4.45). Martin Nance was definitely near the top of my list of WRs. I also sort of like Mike Hass even though he doesn't have great speed.
