Mark Schlereth says we are "not even close" to challenging the Patriots in the AFC East because we don't have "stability" at the quarterback position. Apparently Schlereth and Trey Wingo are both MDs specializing in ligament injuries because they seem to be pretty damn sure that Culpepper will not be back until at least week 8. This arrogant jerkholes are going to be eating a fairly large helping of crow when Culpepper either starts the season or comes in and replaces Harrington (who will do fine) after a couple of games and tears up the NFL.
Even if Culpepper DOES miss 7 weeks (which I doubt) I think a qb like Harrington in an offense like we have can handle our relatively easy first half schedule and take us atleast 4-3. There is no way things are as bad in Miami as these idiots made it out to be. As a matter of fact, things are looking pretty bright... I can't wait for the season.

well hes almost right.......i think we have a chance, but we do have holes, i said this last week (look at my posts) and i got blasted, our oline is not good, and in order to protect a hurt quarterback and a young running back you need a good line.

What he said is true. There are uncertainties at QB and in the line. We don't have Harrington yet, culpepper is coming off a serious injury. Whether we compete with NE is purely speculation and opinion.

You really can't deny that Culpepper's injury usually takes at least a year to heal. See Willis Mcgahee. I want Pep to come back whenever he's healthy because he's the new face of our franchise. Also, it will take some time for Culpepper to reacclimate himself to full speed nfl football. Although, maybe Culpepper is a freak of nature and heals ridiculously fast, but I doubt that.

Last I heard, Culpepper wasn't a running back.

And Mcgahee had a more serious injury, from what ive heard Mcgahee was a level 3 and Culpepper was a level 2

The O-line with our signings isnt that bad at all, in fact I see it as a bright point this season

Yes, but its an injury none the less. Culpepper may not be running around like Willis, however, the strength and pivoting ability is necessary for him to play the position. Its really not worth him risking anything imo. I just want him to come back healthy and 100 percent.

Good Point...

i agree and this forum does that. when they "THINK" they know stuff and u disagree and prove em' wrong they flip out and usually they do it in a gang of members loll its annoying. I said we'd sign about 6-8 players in FA and i named shelton and brees they bashed me and siad how u going to sign the other 6-7 players and look waht happened we got DC and shelton and allen etc etc. not many of the ppl here know there **** so dont trip on that part. Our line is NOT good it is DECENT and our SLB and LB core IS WEAK. what if ZT gest injured or CC we are completely screwed. Our secondary is decent but no real proven talent in the CB spot.

Man is this guy out to lunch. Position wise, Miami has made a HUGE upgrade at Quarterback. "Instability" both Pepper and Joey are veterans!! And either ONE is arguably better than any "stability" with Rosenfels and Frerotte...

Heads UP: Harrington gets dissed by national talking head "outsiders" who are looking for something to write about. Yet nobody talks about the fact that Steve Mariucci will likely never coach again in the NFL. These are the same idiots who will act all surprised when the Dolphins blast out of the gates this season - just watch.

I agree that you can't really compare two different injuries especially to guys who play different positions. But think about some of the shots that QBs take, especially from the blind side. There's no way the Dolphins will let Daunte play until he is 100% healed, just like the Bills didn't let Willis play until he was ready.

I wouldn't give Harrington too much credit if we get him. He has never played in an offense like ours. That's why it's so important to get him ASAP. That is why Saban went back into trade discussions instead of waiting til June. The sooner we get Joey the better.

The national media doesn't bow down before the greatness of the Dolphins and some posters on Finheaven get bent out of shape. Surprise, surprise.

How about we wait until the Dolphins actually accomplish something-- like beating the Patriots in a game that means something, for starters-- before we start railing against the media for disrespecting them?
