Im not sure if how many of you guys get Colin Cowherd of ESPN radio but he was making some logical comments and predictionson the Fins season..said that parity was what seperated the NFL from other sports...he used the Dolphins as an example..." A team almost everyone thinks is gonna terrible"..then he said the Miami Dolphins could easily get to 7 wins..he broke down every game on our schedule and stated why he thought we would win or lose..he had us winning the opener..but only 1 divisional win that being vs the Bill's..( Also said the fins could win both with the jury still being out on Losman) also had us winning..
Chiefs-Raider's-Titans-Browns-Falcons...said the best bet in Vegas was the Dolphins over 5 and a half...Pretty much guarenteed the Phins will win atleast 6..also said "You dont think the Dolphins beat Atlanta..go to vegas and bet $10,000 on it" .....he got pretty excited about his prediction...is he a closet finfan?? I know to some of you 7 wins seems inevidable..but most experts have us winning 4-5 games....So its nice to hear (ecspecially someone from ESPN) give us so much credit and not just write us off. As if I wasnt pumped enough for the season!!

No to stir anything up, and this is probably not the place to do it, but I just saw your video on the Buckeyes championship, and I will always think that the game when they beat miami will be my number one example on the argument that the Referee's can really change the outcome of a game. Like I said, not trying to talk crap, they played a heck of a game, and like the quotes said, OU wasn't even given a shot, and they played right there, and I know you're not going to agree with me, but that final play was fixed

oh yea, sorry. Thanks for the post, and it is very good to see that an analyst actaully analyzes information and not just go with the popular opinion of all his colleagues

No disagreements here...and I'm an FSU grad. Miami got totally screwed with that last series of calls from the refs. Forget that the flag was three days late, it was the worst PI call I've ever seen!

I was thinking the same thing not talking trash because I dont follow college footbal but I happen to watch that game and I think that was a controversial win IMO. Once again I do not follow college football.

I wouldn't take anything Colin Cowherd says seriously.....All he does is come up with controversial opinions on a daily basis....he just likes to pick a side and argue his point with anybody who wants to call in....Every now and then somebody will trump him but, he hangs up on them real quick like.......What he says and what he believes are probably two seperate things in most cases.....Not saying that the Dolphins aren't a great bet to win 6 or more, just giving my two cents on Cowherd.

Like I said, I don't want to talk crap, the video just reminded me. It pains me to even watch it. I really have nothing against the Buckeyes. The Canes don't see them enough for me to have ill intentions toward them. And also like I said, the refs didn't change the entire game, cause Miami was supposed to spank that a$$, and OU kept it real tight. Dorsey blew a TD pass to the tight end during our possesion minutes before, so no I don't think that game was completely fixed, but besides OU fans I haven't met anyone that doesn't think that UM got killed by the refs during that possession

He must've gotten the wrong information on Losman. So far, he's doing fine. We shall see if he changes his opinion after this weekends preseason game.

You know, I have been seeing allot of that flip flopping with the journalists. I don't think they even really care about the news or what they believe in. They just want to stir the pot a little and see if they can get a few minutes of fame for arguing their point. In fact, I'm sure that some just look for the opposite of what everyone else say just to be that outsider that believes in the underdog or whatever. Then of course you have the 99 percent who know nothing on a particular subject, so they just go along with what everyone else is saying, and pass it off like they are the all knowledgeable one.

For some reason, my system gives me an error when I try to quote a post, so you have to bear with me, but justasportsfan, I'm sure in this case he's going with the popular opinion on Losman, cause he's a rook, without even really looking at his snaps

and like I said, maybe he's just going against the grain with the phins prediction. Not saying I don't agree with him, cause "6 wins at least" sounds like a good start to me

No one's opinion of a first year starting QB should change at all after preseason games! Defenses are typically vanilla in preseason. I'll give him his due, IF he plays well for the first few REGULAR season games.

But seriously... I think his main point that there is parity in the NFL is something to be taken from all this. If you don't want this year as examples, just look to last year's chargers. NO ONE knows how good any team will be yet. That is what makes this the best time of the year. EVERYONE thinks their team has a chance. That is why the NFL is the best pro sport right now.
