Fins offer Rowe an extension

This is insignificant.

How many picks do we have? What is our cap space? This offseason will make or break us.

Make a big deal of Rowe or don't, we're discussing pawns. The peices we bring in this offseason is all that matters.

Hating on Grier before 2020 is an act in futility. Let's just hope that if he misses come this offseason, Ross has the wherewithal to part ways.

But you haters, get your **** together and start pulling for Grier because if he can't build a solid unit be it oline, dline etc, this offseason with all of our capital; this rebuild, tank, disgrace or whatver the eff you want to call It would've been all for naught. And it will send us into the dark ages. Picture 2, 3, 4 wins a year for a long time to come.

The talent that matters is not on this team yet. So take it easy and pray for the front office because praying and hoping and wishing is all we have at the moment.

Rowe? Really? We might as well be impacted by what flavor gatorade they're drinking on the sideline. Stay focused on the bigger picture. Put some positive energy into the ether.

Worst defense in the league. Other teams score at will throw the air, on the ground. There are no impressive players on the defense, let alone very impressive. How’s the mvp Biegel doing the last couple weeks, sample size a little bit bigger now?

No one bats 1000 in the draft. Hell the Pats basically cut their 2nd round CB pick from last year this preseason.

Dont expect every pick to be an all-pro. Some of our first and second rounders will get injured or on IR before the season even starts, it's just the game. People call these picks busts when they havent panned out in 2 years after a player tears an ACL and isn't 100% immediately the nezt season. Just be patient and be forgiving. Also, we seem to really draft RBs well (historically, Ballage is an outlier) and have a good eye for late round gems (Godchaux and Taylor were 5ths, Reshad Jones was a 6th or 7th). Still pissed we cut Taylor thogugh...only to pickup older, slower, weaker guys against the run with Jenkins/Moss

hopefully a team friendly deal for a low tier starter/depth player. Teams need those players too...at the right price

Not exactly a "splash" signing, but I can see it from a continuity/depth perspective.

He isn't a top starting quality boundary player, but he has done a decent job at safety.

He, apparently, also knows the responsibilities of all the DB positions, to the point that he can step in anywhere, and not be subject to the mental errors that absolutely kill a scheme driven D.
This. And as a depth CB on the boundary he’s better than most backup players.

I think he'll get something along the lines of 2yrs $8m. Which I'm fine with. He'll look a lot better sandwiched between McCourty and Logan Ryan next year. Then he can be strictly a back up the year after as we phase him out.

That wouldn't surprise me. He could be on the list soon too. A very short list of two. lol.
That's assuming he's amicable to an extension. Guys that have upside, and believe in themselves, prefer to at least test the market before being low balled.

He’s a veteran to help teach young players how it works in the NFL. And he knows this defense better than everyone else in the secondary. If he’s even low starter money it’s no big deal.

Like I said in other threads Rowe had his good moments. He is versatile and a fits the Flores profile of being interchangeable and a support role player.
He is not a game changer or a pro bowler but that's not what this season was about anyways. It is all about finding a support cast and role players.

Exactly. You can't draft NFL experience or a mentor.

why don’t you shut the hell up, you’re making too much sense and that’s just not allowed here in these parts

Kiss of death for master Rowe, expect the worse from him next year
