These are the scores from the last 6 Dolphin playoff loses. That's an average of 32 - 4!!! Clearly the Fins have not been ready to compete with the big boys. Keep in mind only one of the teams that won went on to win the Super Bowl. This season was enjoyable and inspirational but when it comes time to go against the elite teams the Dolphins are lacking. Let's hope Bill, Tony and Jeff can continue to assemble quality athletes to upgrade the roster b/c going to the playoffs only to be blown away doesn't accomplish much.

Ahhh, so that's why every playoff appearance I can remember has been so underwhelming!

Well, as Tony said, the new goal is to get in there and win one of those things.

i couldn't agree more. i remember the bills debacle in the 95 playoffs and saying to myself it can't get any worse. but you know what? it has gotten worse and worse with every playoff appearance.
2008 was a special year but the way we got toyed with leaves a real empty feeling. i have never seen an nfl team get disgraced the way miami has since 1995!!

Well the 62-7 game kind of skews the numbers a little, but yeah, it seems like when we do lose a playoff game it usually isn't a nail biter game.

We haven't been able to build a complete team on both side of the ball in decades. That's been the Phins problems.

We wasted a high powered offense with the inability to build a defense and finid a RB worth a damn for Marino.

We then wasted a championship caliber D build by JJ because of Wanny's ineptness to bring in offensive talent nor any defensive talent to keep the D intact as well.

Now, were having to build an entire team.
It's no mystery as to why nor a surprise that we got blown out by the Ravens in the playoffs.

I think we have the leaders in place to build a COMPLETE championship caliber team and will as long as the ownership issues don't screw with the Parcells, Ireland, Sporano team.

this one, imo, hurt the most. maybe because it was the most recent, but this year I really thought we had a balanced team. Oh and i spent all week saying "well Pennington doesnt turn the ball over much, so i think we have a chance"

hilarious.

I agree with you but the 2000 Ravens showed you don't always need a high powered offense to win games in the postseason. The Phins defense was always good but never great

this is what hapens when fans go overboard and overrate players are not good players. this team needs playmakers on both sides of the ball and the special teams is ranked next to last on a couple of sites.

we really need a faster runningback to compliment Ronnie and Cobbs and cut Ricky because he hasnt really made a game changing impression on people .
our top priority ought tobe wr,s cb's, dt's and linebackers not exactly in this order.
