And what’s funny is, the Bills have had a better overall team.Josh Allen cant win when it matters most. Does that make him a bad QB? I dont think so.

"Some" fans deserve to be laughed at! - LOL
Thank You! To all of the pundits, experts, haters, losers, and various assorted pessimists. For all you do this bud'sfor you!
Thanks for providing bulletin board ammo for our team. Thanks for tranquilizing our opponents who will now know not to waste time preparing for us.
For me being underestimated is a gift. I have no quarrel with your emphatic assurances that our team is fragile, soft, rudderless, and hopeless. Keep pouring it on; we can use all the motivation we can get!
In my estimation this team is improving in all three phases. We have not had the same coach for more than three years this millenium. Finally we can experience a fourth season with the same coaching for four years in a row. Our first taste of continuity since the Don.
Thanks Again! And keep up the Great Work!
Right, Right, Right!I agree - Tua got injured in college throwing in the grasp of a 300 pound d lineman…. He did the same thing last year in week 2 BEFORE the concussion - he threw a pick 6 which ended the game in the series before the concussion - I turned the tv off after that… so one could argue that he risked a career ending injury on that stupid pick 6 while getting sacked by a 300 pounder…ALL of Tua’s injuries are a result of a BAD o line… getting crushed compels him to make bad decisions - try to do too much - get panicky and destroy his body…
Tua has played well overall, few real stinkers really (and you can probably highlight OL woes in most of those). He's got talent, there's no denying that. But is he transcendent? Nope. IMO he's good enough to win some big games with a strong team around him, and that's fine...that's Tier 2 in the QB hierarchy...he'll generally do his job well. Its not really his fault his HC and GM are trash, and his owner is friggin' football-clueless. But it is what it is...QBs get the team's record attributed directly to them, for good and for bad. It's wrong IMO, but it's how it is.
But as a note on the analysis provided above, there's glazing in there without context. They talk about how his EPA against the Ravens and Bills were top 3 of all teams who played against them during that season. They made no mention of garbage time or airing it out to overcome a big deficit in the game, when we ALL know that's a thing and it applies. Its also relevant to look at other stats aside from EPA, for instance passing-yards-per-game-allowed for a defense.
Tua's yards against Buffalo as referenced above was top 3 EPA, but Buffalo was 24th in yards given up per game, through the air, a mere 30 yards-per-game from last place. And the 2023 Ravens? 31st in yards per game given up through the air. I don't consider any defense that ranks in the mid-20s to 30s in air YPG given up, elite, but that's just me. Additionally, points-per-game is worth a side consideration. The Ravens were 1 better, and the Bills were 1 worse, than the Dolphins defense in that stat...and in those those games mentioned as highlights for Tua that year, the Dolphins scored below those teams' average PPG against...even with Tua having a high EPA. They also scored below their own average in points, in those games...with all the extra yards included...by 9 and 10 points. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but the results are the results.
Would all these EPA stats lead to the conclusion Tua was held back by the rest of the offense? I can see that argument. But at the end of the day, they flopped cold in both those games, both of which were crucial to their season and playoff expectations.
Like I've said tons of times...a healthy Tua is a very good QB. Top 10 QB IMO. When he's getting banged around and recovering from injuries, playing through dings, etc, he falls off noticeably, particularly in accuracy, and he can't survive without high level accuracy. And with his propensity to get dinged up or flat knocked out of games, he's not a franchise QB...IMO. Can't trust him, but he's our guy until he's not, so I'll pull for him to ball out every week, and pray he can remove the boneheaded plays from his book.
Allen will get pass k.c soon.Josh Allen cant win when it matters most. Does that make him a bad QB? I dont think so.
"Presumption Alert" - LOLWe have Zack Wilson and a 7th round pick as the backups. It doesn’t get much worse than that
Or...maybe Tua is wasting his time playing on a bad team?let him go to different team. He still going get knockout
Just sayin'
There is a clear trend in former Jets QB's performing better elsewhere.I was really disappointed in the Wilson signing. But, there are quite a few Jets quarterbacks who have had success once they got away from that organization. So, that's my hope.
"Deep dives" for shallow minds, yes!!! - LOLEver get the feeling there are posters on this site who run a Google search on "Dolphins suck" or "Tua sucks" every day in hopes of finding deep dive takes like this Fansided one?
I guess you do read all the posts on Fin Heaven. - LOLNot at all, you don't have to look hard to find negative articles about the Dolphins. If you follow a certain team online, you get recommended content for that team. Surprise, there's a lot of non-flowery stuff about the Dolphins floating around. I wonder why that is?
But, but, but those "Facts" show that the "Negative Nancy's" are rong, Rong, RONG! - LOLYou’re right! I skimmed it and saw “benched” but took that to mean he’d be hurt. Not that he’d actually be benched.
Well, that just makes this article even more dumb. The author tries to cherry pick some of Tua’s stats from last year and claims it wasn’t good enough and says Tua must play better or will be benched.
Top 10 in passer rating (tied with Josh Allen)
Ranked 4th in passing yards per game
Ranked 8th best in INT%
Ranked 1st in completion %
Better TD% than Mahomes, Purdy, Stroud, Herbert, Lawrence, Stafford, and Prescott
Does the author expect Tua to be number 1 in all QB stats or else get benched? What a moronic article.
LMAO!
they get credit because people are stupid.. to say itQb get credit w or l. Yes it team sport but u need dominate qb to win it all.
Sure, he’s right… if you were to manipulate, misinterpret, or falsify those stats. If you’d care to show your statistics prof the stats I provided let’s see the conclusion he comes to.As my PhD statistics professor told me..."you can make stats say whatever you want them to say."
99% would take the MVP, and they'd be in the right.
