and it's the same problem we've had since #13 retired. we have no QB. i see all the threads everytime we lose about slashing the roster, trading guys like JT or Zach etc etc.

we are a good team, that, if it had a solid QB would be a great team. that's all we need. well...that and an OC that has a clue, but it won't be hard to fix that because practically anyone is an upgrade from mularky.

You forgot consistent oline, WRs and TEs who can catch the ball, defense that doesn't give up, regardless of what's going on with the offense, new position coaches.....

You need a QB and OL help in the worst way.

Your TE and WR situation are fine. If you don't want Chambers, Booker, or McMichael then I'm sure we (Buffalo) could find something for them to do.

Other than drop passes in the most crucial game towards determining the playoffs?

you'd be surprised how much a real qb can fix. when you are lacking at the most important position in football, everything else is magnified.

I would love to see us draft a QB that could start in two years and be the future. Our oline is getting more and more consistent so I dont think we should shake them up except for a left tackle...We need a good TE that can catch. As each game goes on, McMichael has good games and bad ones. But this Buffalo game had to be one of the worst of his career. He is just becoming too inconsistent with his drops. We shouldn't shake up the D too much. think all we really need in there is a shutdown corner that QB's woud be scared to throw to. Maybe get younger on the D line as well and draft a scarey young linebacker...

This team doesnt need much help, just a few positions

No way we trade them within our division...That would be one of the duymbest moves we could do

Well, unfortunately you aren't quite right. I wish you were but you aren't. The proof?

Joey's QB rating yesterday was a zero. I didn't even know that was possible!! But we also had a game this season (vs. Minnesota) in which we rushed for a total of minus 3 yards. Those stats occured in the same season. I'd say there's more than one SERIOUS problem with this offense. I wish it was just the QB (he's defintitely part of it) but there's more. Good post.

You mean like Culpepper did?

I said it a few posts ago on another thread. Cant we just DRAFT a QB with potential, being as we are so inconsistent the last 5 yrs which means a higher draft pick!!! Lets actually use it on a Field General of the future. Im watching some QB's of the last few draft picks and there are some serious potential solid QB's coming through. Im getting sick of FA's. Lets Draft our future. Romo, Cutler,Carlson, Leinart,Roethlisberger, Schaub,Young and Rivers all up and coming QB's. Its about time we got one!! Anyone know the last high round QB we drafted? hmmm..

I don't think QB is our only problem but I would say it is one of our biggest problems in terms of consistency.

But I think even Dan Marino would have had problems with this team as our receivers cannot catch the ball. Randy McMichael should be let go after what he did yesterday, and CC continues to have the ball go through his hands. Our O-line still needs some upgrades, as does our secondary....I still can't believe the way Goodman got beat on that TD yesterday....the receiver looked like he was fair catching the ball in the end zone and Goodman didn't even know where the ball was at. :tantrum:

Dan Marino
Bob Griese
Joe Theisman :D
scratching my head after this. :shakeno:

Marino would not be in the Hall of Fame had he played with or WRs and TE. QB is not the problem the WRs and TE are the problem. They have caused us alot of games. But we always seem to pass that up and blame the QBs, who are not the ones dropping the balls.
