Perkins is praising our you tight ends and Kelly sitting there bashing then every second he gets
 
I happen to think that Dion Sims has very good upside. This is a big year for him and I expect him to make progress.
 
TEs are probably the weakest unit on the team. Cameron did not look good last year, he could rebound. Sims was never a pass catching TE altho he has improved every year, but he isn't a threat. The new guy who knows...
 
Another unit we are average at best at. Our talent is getting better, but when you really take a look around, you understand why we have been right around .500 for years.
 
I really think Sims is our future TE. He has improved every year and his size is great down the middle. He's been our best blocker, and he is a deceptively good pass catcher.

I like Sims also, but he is limited by his speed. He could be good in the RZ and as a possession guy if he makes use of his body though.
 
I don't like our TE group much, unless Cameron can rediscover his Pro Bowl year form. In a scheme where a TE can apparently feast, we have nobody I would say is primed to post top level numbers.

He's a moderate talent who will last a couple more years as a backup, likely with another team after this year, before fading into obscurity.
 
11 personnel based 5 man protect os that have a dependable blocking tight end are wonderful to have...he gets hurt and miami will have to shift to more emphasis on the rbs or wrs in the o cause no one else can hold a candle to sims as a blocker..

I personally think hes more important to this team than jordan cameron is going forward...i can find a athlete scheme fit tight end its hard to find in line guys that can be depended on in the run game at the 2nd level and pass pro
 
We need a backup blocking TE Sims gets hurt to often
